There is no verified, official menu path for turning off only Pokémon GO’s low Gym motivation alerts. The official help page confirms that Pokémon GO has notification settings, but documents a different alert: “Pokémon’s Return.” Check the game’s notification menu and your phone’s Pokémon GO notification controls; neither is confirmed as a selective fix for low-motivation alerts.
What to check in Pokémon GO

Open Pokémon GO and tap the Poké Ball menu, then open Settings and look for Notifications. The official Help Center confirms a notification area, but does not document a low-motivation toggle or its current label. Menu labels can change, so check the version installed on your device.

Review the available notification options. Do not assume that disabling “Pokémon’s Return” will stop low-motivation alerts: it is a distinct push notification, and the Help Center’s instructions for that setting do not establish that it controls Gym motivation alerts. Check your phone’s notification controls
If the game does not offer a clearly named control for Gym motivation alerts, open your phone’s system settings, find Pokémon GO in the apps or notifications list, and review the available controls. Turning off Pokémon GO notifications at the operating-system level may silence other alerts too; it is not a verified selective solution for low-motivation notifications. The exact system menu depends on your phone and operating-system version.

What the alert is—and what it is not
Gym motivation is a game mechanic: it declines over time and when a defender loses a battle, and berries restore it. The official announcement says a Pokémon with no motivation returns to its Trainer the next time it loses a Gym battle. These mechanics do not identify a notification setting. Pokémon GO: Raid Battles and New Gym Features are Coming!
The “Pokémon’s Return” push notification is separate. Likewise, accessory notification settings are not evidence of a control for Gym motivation alerts.
