Colorlib’s Blogger is a free digital website template for building a blog. Its publisher lists a parallax banner, recent-posts slider, author details, and a newsletter subscription box. The template page states a CC BY 3.0 license, but that statement should not be assumed to cover the separately credited Unsplash images or other third-party assets.

What is the Colorlib Blogger template?

It is a website design template intended for blogs, rather than a hosted blogging service or a physical product. Colorlib says it can suit subjects including travel, fashion, lifestyle, and health. The publisher lists these presentation elements:

  • A parallax banner
  • A slider for recent posts
  • Author details
  • A newsletter subscription box

These are features described on Colorlib’s Blogger template page; they are not independently verified here. The available page information does not establish the download’s file format, technical requirements, present compatibility, or whether each component works without configuration.

Is the Blogger template free?

Colorlib describes the template as free. The same page also advertises paid support and update options. Those services are separate from the free-template claim, and their current terms and prices should be checked on the live page before purchase.

What license does it use?

The opened Colorlib page states “License: CC BY 3.0.” That is the publisher’s stated license for the template; do not assume it applies to every asset shown with it. The page credits images from Unsplash, so check the terms for the specific images and any other third-party materials before reusing them.

Is the template current and compatible with your setup?

The page states “Released: Jan, 2018,” while a search-result presentation for the same page showed a September 2026 date. That conflict does not establish that the template was updated or recently maintained. Check the current product page and inspect the downloaded files against your intended platform and hosting setup before building a site around it.

The available publisher information also does not specify a required platform, dependencies, or tested device behavior. Do not treat “responsive” in the product description as proof of compatibility with a particular content management system, browser, or deployment environment.

How to evaluate it before using it

  1. Read the current product page. Confirm that the free template is still available and review the current license and any paid-service terms.
  2. Inspect the package. Identify its file format, dependencies, and instructions; the product description alone does not establish these details.
  3. Check the assets separately. Verify permissions for images and other third-party materials rather than relying only on the template’s stated license.
  4. Test the presentation. Preview the banner, post slider, author details, and newsletter box at the screen sizes and in the browsers relevant to your readers.
  5. Confirm deployment fit. Make sure your chosen platform and hosting environment can use the actual files and support any required configuration.
