Middle-earth: Shadow Bundle looks like a strong way to get both Shadow games and their listed expansions on Nintendo Switch 2, provided you can spare the storage. Nintendo’s Australian eShop listing specifies 130 GB of required space, while GamingBolt’s review found the games played well in both handheld and docked modes, with minor frame-rate dips. That performance judgment is one outlet’s review, not an independently measured benchmark.
What does Middle-earth: Shadow Bundle include?
Nintendo’s Australian eShop listing describes two complete editions: Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor Game of the Year Edition and Middle-earth: Shadow of War Definitive Edition. The package is therefore more than the base versions of the two games.

GamingBolt reviewer Varun Karunakar gave the Switch 2 bundle a 9/10 in a review published on 1 October 2026. The review says both games run well in handheld and docked play, with minimal frame-rate drops, while listing minor frame-rate dips as a drawback. GamingBolt disclosed that it received a copy for review. This is the outlet’s assessment; the review evidence here does not establish independently measured frame rates or performance in every situation.
#1 Best Overall
- Race from one course to another through interconnected paths that span the world
- Traverse mountains, forests, cities, and more—with shifting weather patterns and a day/night cycle
- Ride on rails, jump off walls, skim across water, and more as you race for the finish line
- Take on the adrenaline-packed Knockout Tour—a fierce 24-driver elimination mode
- Explore courses at your own pace and wander the world to discover fun surprises in Free Roam
The games support handheld, tabletop, and TV modes, according to Nintendo’s listing. That flexibility suits a pair of open-world action games, though the review’s positive performance verdict should be read as an attributed evaluation rather than a guarantee of identical results for every player.
How much storage does Shadow Bundle need on Switch 2?
Nintendo’s Australian eShop listing specifies 130 GB required space in its 2026 listing and cautions that the actual free space needed may vary. Check the space available on your console before buying or downloading; the listed figure is a substantial part of a system’s storage budget.

The bundle is most compelling if you want both games, their named story expansions, and the listed bonus content in one purchase. It also makes sense for a first-time player who wants the two-game arc, or a returning Tolkien fan looking to revisit the series portably.

Before buying, compare the total price in your region with the cost of acquiring the games separately, and weigh that against the editions and DLC included here. Also consider the 130 GB listed space requirement and whether existing licenses or save progress affect your decision. The available listing and review evidence do not establish cross-save support, upgrade entitlements, or current prices for other versions and individual games.
