GRID Legends has adjustable difficulty, driving assists, camera feedback and HUD settings, but the familiar GRID bonus-code lists found online are for the 2008 Race Driver: GRID, not this 2022 game. The official GRID Legends pages documented here do not provide a verified master list of cheat codes or every car-unlock condition. Use the settings below to tailor the driving experience, and treat older code instructions as belonging to a different game.
Do GRID Legends cheat codes or unlock codes work?
Be cautious with code lists that tell you to open Options > Bonus Codes. That menu and the bonus codes described in the surfaced manual belong to the older Race Driver: GRID. Third-party cheat indexes surfaced for this topic likewise identify the 2008 game, not GRID Legends. The older game’s manual also discusses earning features through play and restrictions on using cheats online; those details should not be applied to GRID Legends.

EA’s GRID Legends gameplay documentation covers settings and options rather than a code-entry menu. EA’s version 1.07 patch notes mention fixes for certain vehicles that were not unlocking correctly, but do not amount to a complete unlock guide. That establishes a patched unlock issue, not a universal rule for how every car or event is earned.

In short, do not enter codes or follow menu instructions sourced for the 2008 GRID game and assume they apply here. The official sources cited above do not provide a verified all-codes list or complete unlock table for GRID Legends.

Which settings can make GRID Legends easier or more comfortable?
EA’s PC gameplay settings list six difficulty choices: Easy, Medium, Hard, Expert, Legend and Custom. Easy is the displayed default. Choosing or adjusting settings lets you prioritize a manageable race, a greater challenge, or a particular driving feel; EA does not identify one combination as best for every player.
Difficulty, assists and transmission
- Difficulty: Start with Easy if you want a gentler challenge, or select a higher preset if you want to make races harder. Individual setting changes produce a Custom configuration.
- Driving aids: ABS, traction control and stability control each have a displayed range of 0 to 5, with 5 shown as the default. More assistance can make the car easier to manage; reduce it gradually if you want more direct control.
- Transmission: Options range from automatic to manual configurations. Automatic is a practical starting point if shifting adds distraction; manual gives you more control over shifts.
- Racing Line: Choose On, Off or Corners Only. A visible line can help with braking and cornering; limiting it to corners or switching it off removes some on-track guidance.
- Drift Mode Counter Steer Assist: This can be switched on or off, so you can decide whether to use extra help when counter-steering in drift events.
Damage, flashback and career race length
- Damage: Choose Full or Visual Only damage. Technical Damage can be enabled or disabled separately.
- Flashback: This feature can be enabled or disabled. The gameplay settings also list a flashback counter as a HUD option.
- Career Race Length: Choose X1 through X5; X1 is the displayed default. The setting changes the available career race-length scale, not a universal recommendation for how long you should race.
These are selectable options, not evidence that a particular preset improves performance or guarantees wins. Adjust one or two at a time so you can tell which changes help your own driving.

How should you tune camera and visual feedback?
EA lists a driver-head camera field-of-view setting from 55 to 95, with 75 shown as the default. It also lists camera suspension feedback, high-speed camera feedback, tyre-effect feedback and impact feedback, each adjustable from 0 to 100, with 100 shown as the default.
- If the camera movement feels distracting, try reducing one feedback value at a time and compare the result in a race.
- If you prefer a wider or narrower driver-head view, experiment within the FOV range rather than treating the displayed default as mandatory.
- These controls change camera behavior and effects. The documented settings do not establish a frame-rate improvement or image-quality benefit from lowering them.
EA’s accessibility overview also points to video options for display mode, resolution and brightness. Use those controls to suit your display and viewing comfort; the available documentation does not prescribe a single ideal combination.

How do you simplify or customize the HUD?
GRID Legends lets you keep the HUD enabled, disable it or customize individual elements. EA documents toggles for the mini-map, driver tags, instrument dial, timing, race positions, racecraft notifications, alert messages, rear-view mirror, proximity arrows, flashback counter and teammate controls.
For a less cluttered screen, turn off overlays you do not rely on, then keep practical cues such as the mirror, proximity arrows or timing if you use them. If you are still learning a circuit, retaining the mini-map or race information may be more useful than removing everything. There is no sourced universal best HUD: choose what improves readability without hiding information you need.

Can you customize controls or use a controller on PC?
EA’s PC control documentation says Xbox and PlayStation controllers are supported and lists customizable bindings. If a control feels awkward, review the bindings and change them to suit your preferred layout. EA’s accessibility documentation also points to configurable control and visual options, but the cited material does not establish a particular controller model as the best choice.

EA lists standard and Deluxe editions, along with add-ons including Winter Bash, Rise of Ravenwest, Enduring Spirit, Valentin’s Classic Car-Nage, Seneca & Ravenwest content, the Deluxe Upgrade and the Mechanic Pass. EA describes the Mechanic Pass as boosting total car mileage so mechanical upgrades unlock faster. This is an add-on progression benefit, not evidence that paid content is required for ordinary base-game progression.
