The Nothing Phone (3a) is the camera and software-led choice in this pair. Its official specifications list three rear cameras, including a 50MP telephoto, and a stated commitment to three years of Android updates. The OPPO K13 Turbo 5G is the gaming-oriented design: a MediaTek Dimensity 8450, an active cooling fan, a larger stated battery and faster wired charging.

The price difference cannot yet be stated as a single figure. Nothing’s European product page shows a price, while OPPO’s India specification and product pages do not show a selling price for the K13 Turbo. The two figures come from different markets, so they cannot be set side by side. Everything below comes from manufacturer specifications and product pages accessed in 2026, not from independent testing.

Nothing Phone (3a) in Europe

Nothing’s European product page, accessed in 2026, displays €329 and lists 8+128GB and 12+256GB configurations. OPPO K13 Turbo 5G in India

OPPO India’s specification and product pages, accessed in 2026, list 8+128GB and 8+256GB versions but show no selling price. Search results showing ₹17,999 refer to the OPPO K13, a different model, and should not be used for the K13 Turbo.

Why a like-for-like gap is not yet possible

A price gap needs one country, one seller, one date and one storage tier. The two brands do not share a market in the sources reviewed, and the only tier both list is 8+128GB. That tier has a price only for the Nothing Phone (3a), and only in Europe. Any figure presented as the difference between these two phones would combine different markets.

How to measure the price gap yourself

  1. Choose one country and confirm both phones are sold there through the manufacturer’s regional store or an authorised retailer. Nothing’s listing is Europe-facing; OPPO’s pages are India-facing.
  2. Match the memory and storage tier. The common tier is 8+128GB. Nothing’s 12+256GB has no OPPO counterpart in these listings, and OPPO’s 8+256GB has no Nothing counterpart.
  3. Record the checkout price, including tax and any shipping, along with the date. Note that discounts, bank offers and exchange deals change the effective price.
  4. Check what is included in the box. Nothing lists a screen protector. OPPO lists a protective case and a fan-cleaning brush. Neither list is a separate purchase requirement, but they affect the value of the price you pay.
  5. Divide the price by the features you care about. For example, a camera-focused buyer and a gaming-focused buyer will weigh the same euro or rupee differently.

Cameras

Nothing’s stated rear set covers three focal lengths: a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilisation, a 50MP telephoto and an 8MP ultrawide. The OPPO specification lists a 50MP main camera and a 2MP monochrome sensor, with no ultrawide or telephoto lens on the retrieved page. The front cameras are 32MP on Nothing and 16MP on OPPO.

Megapixel counts and lens lists do not show how the photos will look. Neither manufacturer’s page includes independent camera samples or test results. If framing options such as telephoto and wide shots matter to you, Nothing’s stated set covers more of them.

Gaming hardware and cooling

The OPPO K13 Turbo 5G is the gaming-led design. Its MediaTek Dimensity 8450 sits alongside an active Storm Engine fan and passive cooling. OPPO says its laboratory data shows a 20% improvement in overall thermal dissipation with Storm Engine activated. That is a manufacturer-reported comparison, and the test conditions are not published on the page.

OPPO India’s announcement of July 30, 2025 describes the K13 Turbo and K13 Turbo Pro as “engineered from the ground-up for users who demand consistent performance during long gaming sessions and peak-performance productivity throughout the day.” That is positioning, not measured performance.

Nothing’s official product page lists no built-in fan, and the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 is a different chip class from the Dimensity 8450. No benchmark or sustained-load test in the sources reviewed establishes which phone holds performance better over a long session.

Battery and charging

On paper, OPPO leads on both battery and charging. The K13 Turbo lists 7,000mAh typical and 6,830mAh rated capacity, and up to 80W SUPERVOOC charging. The Nothing Phone (3a) lists 5,000mAh and 50W wired charging, with reverse wired charging at 7.5W.

Battery life and charge times are not established by either manufacturer’s page in a way that allows comparison. Screen brightness, network conditions, workload and the charger used all change the result. Treat the higher OPPO numbers as capacity and maximum-rate specifications rather than promised endurance.

OPPO’s pixel count is higher, but 2800 × 1280 is an unusually wide ratio for a phone of this size. Confirm the figure on the retailer’s specification sheet before using it to judge sharpness. Neither page reports brightness or colour measurements in the sources reviewed.

Software and update support

Nothing states three Android version updates and six years of security patches on Nothing OS 3.1, which runs on Android 15. OPPO’s K13 Turbo page names ColorOS 15.0 but states no support duration. A missing statement does not mean a shorter period, so if update length matters to you, ask OPPO directly for its policy for this model before deciding.

Durability and water resistance

Nothing rates the Phone (3a) IP64, which covers dust protection and splashing water. OPPO advertises IP66, IP68 and IP69 for the phone body. Those ratings cover powerful water jets, submersion and high-temperature, high-pressure water jets respectively, but OPPO excludes the independent cooling fan module from the rating.

That exclusion matters on the K13 Turbo. The fan is the part of the phone that OPPO does not certify under the headline rating. Its protection is therefore not equivalent to the body rating across every component, and the fan’s maintenance needs fall outside the rating altogether.

Which phone fits which priority

  • Choose the Nothing Phone (3a) if you want more rear focal lengths, a 50MP telephoto, a stated multi-year update commitment, or a phone without a cooling fan to maintain, and if its price in your market is competitive.
  • Choose the OPPO K13 Turbo 5G if you prioritise a larger stated battery, faster wired charging and an active cooling system for sustained gaming, provided it is sold in your market and you accept fan maintenance and the rating exclusion.
  • Hold the decision until you have a same-market price for the 8+128GB configuration, which is the only storage tier both brands list.
