For the JLab GO Air Pop, put the earbuds in their charging case. JLab says they turn off automatically there and start charging. If you don’t have the case, disconnect the GO Air POP in your phone’s or computer’s Bluetooth settings. The earbuds then power off after three minutes.
JLab makes several true wireless models, and their controls are not the same. The steps below cover the GO Air Pop first, then explain how to check your model if you own something else.
Turn off a GO Air Pop
The GO Air Pop has two power-off routes. The case route is the one JLab describes as automatic.
Option 1: Place the earbuds in the charging case
- Make sure each earbud is seated in its slot in the charging case.
- Close the lid if your case has one, or leave it open as the case is designed.
- The earbuds turn off as soon as they are placed in the case, and charging begins at the same time. JLab’s product FAQ states that the earbuds turn off automatically when placed in the charging case, and JLab’s general charging-case guide says placing earbuds in the case powers them off and starts charging.
Option 2: Disconnect without the case
- Open the Bluetooth settings on the phone, tablet or computer the earbuds are connected to. On an iPhone, this is Settings > Bluetooth. On most Android phones, it is Settings > Connected devices.
- Find GO Air POP in the list of connected devices and disconnect it.
- Wait three minutes. JLab’s product FAQ says the earbuds will power off after 3 minutes once disconnected.
Disconnecting alone is not always enough if the earbuds are still paired with another device nearby that reconnects to them. Check the other devices before you assume the earbuds are off.

Do not assume a GO Air Pop sequence will work on other JLab earbuds. The table below shows what the cited JLab support pages establish for each model. Where a source does not address a point, the table says so.

Epic Air ANC V2
JLab’s support page for the Epic Air ANC V2 describes the no-case method: turn off Bluetooth from the device’s settings, then wait three minutes for the earbuds to power off. This matches the GO Air Pop approach, but it applies to this model’s documentation only.

JBuds Air Icon
JLab’s JBuds Air Icon touch-control guide lists pressing and holding an earbud for more than three seconds as the way to power it on. It does not give a power-off control for this model. Do not use that press-and-hold as a turn-off instruction. If you need to turn these earbuds off, check the guide for your exact model or use the Bluetooth disconnection method and allow time for the earbuds to power down.

Check the model name printed on the earbuds, the case, or the box. Then search JLab’s support site for that name. Model names matter because the same button or case behavior may not carry over from one product to another. JLab’s GO Air Pop setup and troubleshooting page covers setup and common issues for that model.

If the earbuds stay on or stay connected
- The earbuds are still connected to another device. Disconnect them from every phone, tablet and computer that has been paired with them, not just the one you are using.
- You have not waited long enough. The GO Air Pop’s documented no-case delay is three minutes after disconnection. Give it the full time before deciding they are still on.
- The earbuds were not placed in the case correctly. If they are not seated, they will not turn off through the case, and the earbuds may stay on until another method takes effect.
- Your model is not the GO Air Pop, Epic Air ANC V2 or JBuds Air Icon. Use the support page for your exact model. The methods above should not be applied to a different product without checking its documentation.
