We could not confirm a Xiaomi study lamp with a backlight and 1,650 lx illumination. No official Xiaomi or Mijia announcement, and no product page we could check, names a lamp with those two specifications. Two related Xiaomi lamps are documented, but neither matches the headline: the Xiaomi Smart Floor Lamp has a published central illuminance above 1,800 lx, and the Mijia Vertical Study Lamp 2C was reported in August 2026 as a China-market preorder with different specifications. Until an official listing names the model, treat the headline’s model, backlight and 1,650 lx figure as unverified.
What we could verify
Only two Xiaomi study or work lamps have enough documentation to discuss in a useful way. They are different products, and their specifications should not be combined into one description.
Xiaomi Smart Floor Lamp
Xiaomi’s official global product page describes the Smart Floor Lamp as a floor-standing light for work and study. It has two light sources:

- Lower source: task light, rated at 3,000 lm, with the same ±10% tolerance.
Xiaomi lists central illuminance above 1,800 lx, a central-area uniformity of 1.04, Ra98 color rendering, an RG0 blue-light hazard rating and UGR below 14. The illuminance and uniformity figures were measured on a 750 mm horizontal plane in a room with a 2.7 m ceiling, and Xiaomi states that the manufacturer supplied the illuminance data. These are manufacturer figures, not independent test results, and they are tied to that room setup. The head rotates 90 degrees. Control is through the included remote, the Xiaomi Home app, Alexa or Google Assistant, and voice support depends on region and compatible devices.
The lamp’s installation and remote are described in a user manual for model MJHYD01YL, which is hosted by a third-party manual site rather than by Xiaomi. The manual states that the light source is not replaceable. That detail applies to this model, not to any lamp launched later.
Mijia Vertical Study Lamp 2C
Notebookcheck reported on 24 August 2026 that Xiaomi had listed the Mijia Vertical Study Lamp 2C on JD.com for preorder at ¥1,199, with preorders opening the next day at 10 a.m. Beijing time. The report describes 384 LEDs in a dual upper and lower light arrangement, output of up to 11,000 lm, a 4000K color temperature, 24 GHz presence sensing and control through the Mijia app. Notebookcheck said international availability and warranty terms were uncertain by market. This is secondary reporting based on a retailer listing, and we have not been able to check the listing directly.

What “backlight” could mean here
The headline uses “backlight,” but no source we checked defines the term for a Xiaomi study lamp. A reader might mean the indirect upper source on the Smart Floor Lamp, which lights the ceiling or wall rather than the desk. That is an interpretation, not a confirmed description of any new product. Until the official description uses the word, avoid assuming what it refers to.

What to check before buying
If you are looking for a Xiaomi study lamp, use the following checks to confirm that a listing matches the product you have in mind.
- Model number. Match the model name or number on the product or official page. Do not assume that a similar name means the same lamp.
- Illuminance context. Note the measurement plane, room height and whether the figure came from the manufacturer or an independent lab.
- Lumen output and light arrangement. Compare upper and lower output separately, since a single total can hide how the light is split.
- Region. Confirm that the seller ships to your country and that the voice assistant and app you need are supported there.
- Warranty and replacement. Check the warranty terms for your market. The Smart Floor Lamp manual says the light source is not replaceable, so ask what happens if an LED fails.
When Xiaomi publishes an official announcement or product page for the headline lamp, the figures above should be checked against that page before any purchase decision.
