The POCO X8 Pro Max has published manufacturer specifications, but the Nothing Phone 4b could not be confirmed against an official Nothing product page. A fair winner cannot be named yet. The Nothing specifications and prices that appear in third-party comparison pages are unverified, so this article covers what is established for the POCO and what must be checked before the two phones can be compared.

- Peak brightness of 3500 nits over 25% of the display area. Xiaomi/POCO attributes this figure to its own internal testing and says actual results may vary.

- MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset.
- An AnTuTu V11 score of 3,085,998. POCO Internal Labs reports it using AnTuTu V11.0.5 at approximately 25°C. This is a vendor lab result, not independent comparative testing, and it should not be used to rank the phone against rivals.
Battery and charging
- 8500mAh typical battery capacity.
- 100W HyperCharge, as stated on the official product page.
Cameras
- 50MP Light Fusion 600 main camera with optical image stabilisation (OIS).
- 8MP ultrawide camera.
Hardware is what the official pages confirm. Real-world image quality from independent reviewers was not part of the verified material for this comparison.
Water and dust resistance
The phone carries an IP68 rating. Xiaomi states that its water-resistance tests used static freshwater submersion up to 2 metres for up to 30 minutes. The company cautions that real-world use may differ and that protection is not assured beyond those test conditions. Treat IP68 as a laboratory rating, not a promise for pools, surf or repeated immersion.

Nothing Phone 4b: what is and is not established
Third-party comparison pages list a Nothing Phone 4b with a set of specifications and a price. Those pages are the only sources found for this model. No official Nothing product page, release date, storage variant or regional launch detail could be checked, so the specifications for this phone are not stated here as fact.
The model name also needs checking. Nothing sells more than one phone in its numbered line, and a similarly named device is a different product. This article does not substitute another Nothing model, or any other phone, for the one named in the title.

Price difference: why no figure is given yet
A 91mobiles comparison page, accessed in 2026, lists the POCO X8 Pro Max at ₹48,999 via Flipkart and the Nothing Phone 4b at ₹31,780 via Amazon. These are third-party listing claims captured from search results. They are not verified live prices, not manufacturer launch prices, and not proof that the Nothing listing is for an official model.
For that reason, no price gap is calculated here. The two figures are also in Indian rupees, the title names no market, and retail prices change by region and by week. Check the current listing in your country before comparing any price.

How to run a fair comparison once the Nothing model is confirmed
- Confirm the exact Nothing product name and find its official product page on Nothing’s own website.
- Note the release market for that page, since the listing and specifications may differ between regions.
- Match storage and memory. Compare the 12GB and 256GB configuration of the POCO with the Nothing variant that has the same RAM and storage.
- Record a price in the same market, on the same day, from the same kind of seller. Use manufacturer or official retailer prices where available.
- Take chipset, display size, resolution, refresh rate, battery capacity, charging wattage and camera hardware from the official pages of both phones.
- Compare software versions and the stated update commitment for each brand.
- Check the warranty terms, repair options, network band support and eSIM availability for your country.
- Read independent camera and performance tests. Vendor benchmarks such as the POCO’s AnTuTu score are not comparable with each other unless the same test version and conditions are used.
Verdict for now
On the evidence available, the POCO X8 Pro Max is the better documented phone: its chipset, display, battery, cameras, IP68 rating and dimensions come from the manufacturer. The Nothing Phone 4b cannot be placed against it. Until an official Nothing product page confirms its specifications and a same-market price is checked, neither a winner nor a price difference should be taken from this matchup.
