The Redmi A7 Pro 5G is the cheaper phone on Xiaomi India’s store listing, while the Redmi 15C 5G offers twice the storage and a higher stated charging ceiling. Neither is a clear overall winner. The better choice depends on whether storage and faster charging matter more to you than a lower price and a larger rated battery.
The prices below were observed on Xiaomi’s India store on 4 October 2026. Promotional prices change often, so check the live price before you buy. The specifications come from Xiaomi’s own product pages, and because Xiaomi publishes different details for different countries, each figure below is tied to the market it describes.
The price difference, and why it is not a like-for-like gap
On 4 October 2026, Xiaomi’s India store listed the Redmi 15C 5G in its 4 GB + 128 GB configuration at ₹18,499. The Redmi A7 Pro 5G in 4 GB + 64 GB was listed at ₹14,999. The gap is ₹3,500, or about 23% of the A7 Pro’s price.
That gap compares two different storage tiers. The 15C has 128 GB and the A7 Pro has 64 GB, so part of the ₹3,500 pays for the extra storage. The official pages do not establish what a matching-storage version of either phone costs in India, so the gap cannot be read as the full price of the differences between the two models.

The store also shows promotional markdown labels and crossed-out prices. Those crossed-out figures are not official launch prices unless a separate Xiaomi source confirms them, and the listed prices may not match what a retailer or other seller charges.

The table records the figure each Xiaomi source states. Where a value is not given on the pages used here, the cell says so.

Processor: different chips, no verified speed ranking
The Redmi 15C uses the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, built on a 6 nm process with Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55 cores. The Redmi A7 Pro uses the T8300 5G SoC, also 6 nm, with two A78 cores at 2.2 GHz and six A55 cores at 2.0 GHz.
Both chips are entry-level 5G processors, but the spec sheets do not settle which one is faster in practice. Clock speeds and core counts do not translate directly into gaming frame rates or app responsiveness, and no matched benchmark was established for these two models. Treat any claim that one is clearly quicker as unverified.

Display: similar size and refresh rate, different brightness metrics
Both phones are listed at 6.9 inches with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. The 15C’s resolution is 1600 × 720, and the A7 Pro is listed as HD+. The 15C’s Xiaomi Global page adds a qualification that matters in practice: its refresh rate “can be adjusted to up to 120Hz for supported apps.” Apps that do not support the higher rate will run at lower settings.
The brightness figures are not directly comparable. The 15C’s Saudi Arabia page gives a typical value and a separate high-brightness figure, while the A7 Pro’s India page gives a peak value. Those numbers describe different conditions, so the 810-nit and 800-nit figures should not be treated as a head-to-head result.
Camera: resolution is not the same as photo quality
The 15C lists a 50 MP main camera, which has a higher pixel count than the A7 Pro’s 32 MP rear camera. Pixel count alone does not decide how a photo looks. Sensor size, lens quality, and image processing matter as much, and neither set of pages gives sensor dimensions or processing details. No independent camera test for either phone was found, so the listed figures do not show which camera takes better pictures.
Battery, charging, and the in-box adapter
The A7 Pro has the larger typical battery capacity, at 6300 mAh compared with 6000 mAh for the 15C, a difference of about 5%. The 15C has the higher stated charging ceiling, at up to 33 W compared with a 15 W maximum on the A7 Pro.

The adapter situation is different between the two. The A7 Pro’s India page lists a 15 W charger in the box. The 15C’s Saudi Arabia page says the power adapter is sold separately in certain regions, so check whether your local listing includes one before you assume you can charge at 33 W.
Battery capacity and charging wattage do not measure how long a phone lasts on a charge. Those depend on screen use, network, and software, and none of these pages reports a real-world battery test.
Xiaomi’s lab claim for the Redmi 15C battery
Xiaomi’s Redmi 15C 5G global page states, in its own words: “After completing 1000 full charge cycles, the battery can still maintain 80% or more of its original capacity.” The page attributes this to Xiaomi Internal Labs testing and says actual results may vary. It is a manufacturer’s laboratory claim, not an independent measurement, and the page does not name an individual responsible for it.

Dust and water ratings
The 15C is listed at IP64 under IEC 60529 on Xiaomi’s Saudi Arabia page. The A7 Pro is listed at IP52 on Xiaomi’s India page. IP64 indicates the phone is dust-tight and resists splashing water. IP52 indicates limited dust protection and resistance to dripping water when tilted, which is a lower level of protection.

The 15C’s Saudi page also warns that water resistance can degrade with daily use and says the phone should not be immersed. Neither rating means the phone is waterproof. Check the rating on your local model before relying on it.
Connectivity: 5G bands and NFC
The 15C’s Saudi Arabia page lists broad 5G standalone and non-standalone band sets. The A7 Pro’s India page lists n1, n3, n5, n8, n28, n40, n41, and n78. Band support is only part of the picture. Xiaomi notes that 5G availability depends on regional coverage and local operator support, so a listed band does not guarantee service on your network.
NFC availability varies by market, and neither set of pages reviewed establishes it for every country. Check your local listing before buying if you need contactless payments.

The 15C’s Xiaomi Global page describes HyperOS 2. The A7 Pro’s Xiaomi India page lists Android 16 with HyperOS 3, plus four years of Android updates and six years of security updates. These come from different markets and may reflect different release timing, so the software version a phone ships with can differ from what the global page describes. Confirm the version and update terms for your country before buying.
Expandable storage
Both models support microSD cards, but the stated maximums differ between regional pages: up to 1 TB for the 15C on Xiaomi’s Saudi Arabia page, and up to 2 TB for the A7 Pro on Xiaomi’s India page. Check the card support for your specific local model before relying on either figure.
