Search Engine Watch reported on 8 October 2026 that Bing was testing a visual change to its “People also ask” section: questions appeared inside light-blue boxes instead of the earlier plain format. The reporter said he reproduced the appearance in multiple browsers, including normal and Incognito windows. The report does not confirm how widely the test was shown or whether Microsoft plans to keep it.
What changed in Bing’s People also ask section?
The reported change is limited to presentation: questions in the “People also ask” section appeared inside light-blue boxes. Search Engine Watch reporter Sachin Patel said the rest of the Bing search results page looked unchanged.
Patel reported reproducing the appearance across multiple browsers, including a normal browser window and an Incognito window. The report does not name the browsers or devices used.
How widely was the design test shown?
Its reach is unknown. Search Engine Watch did not provide an audience count, location, or other measurement of the rollout. Patel speculated that the design might have been visible to a wide group, possibly everyone, but the article offers no evidence to verify that.

Has Microsoft confirmed the change or its purpose?
No. The 8 October 2026 report describes a publisher’s observation of Bing’s interface, not an official Microsoft announcement. It includes no Microsoft explanation of the test’s purpose, no user-response data, and no evidence that the design is permanent.
