Dell has announced a compact Windows desktop built on NVIDIA’s RTX Spark platform, with up to 128 GB of unified memory and up to 4 TB of SSD storage. Its product name is the Dell Creator Edition Desktop, not a generic “mini-PC,” and Dell’s US portfolio page still marks it “AVAILABLE SOON.” No price or sale date has been published, so this is an announcement, not a purchasable product.
What Dell has actually announced
Dell’s US product portfolio lists the Creator Edition Desktop as a micro desktop with the following specifications:
- Processor platform: NVIDIA RTX Spark, combining an NVIDIA Grace CPU with an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU
- Memory: up to 128 GB unified memory
- Storage: up to 4 TB SSD
- Operating system: Windows 11
- Positioning: “Deskside AI development powered by RTX Spark in a compact Windows device,” aimed at advanced creators and AI developers
The 128 GB and 4 TB figures are ceilings. Dell has not published the full list of configurations, so a base model with less memory or storage may exist, but nothing in Dell’s published material confirms one.
What RTX Spark is
NVIDIA announced RTX Spark in a press release dated May 31, 2026. It pairs a Blackwell RTX GPU with 6,144 CUDA cores and fifth-generation Tensor Cores, connected over NVLink-C2C to a 20-core Grace CPU. NVIDIA describes up to 128 GB of unified memory and up to 1 petaflop of AI compute for the platform.

Unified memory means the CPU and GPU share one memory pool rather than keeping separate banks. That is why the memory figure matters for local AI work: models and datasets that would otherwise have to fit in a discrete graphics card’s memory can sit in the shared pool. The practical benefit depends on the software you run, and the figures above are NVIDIA’s platform numbers rather than measured results for this desktop.
NVIDIA also said manufacturers would ship RTX Spark compact desktops in fall 2026, naming ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft Surface, and MSI, with Acer and GIGABYTE models to follow. That is a manufacturer timeline, not a retail date for any specific model.
Where the name and design came from
The desktop was not unveiled under its current name. Notebookcheck reported on October 8, 2026 that Dell showed an XPS RTX Spark Mini PC concept at Computex 2026 in May. Dell later renamed and redesigned the device as the Creator Edition Desktop. Any dimensions, port layout, or styling from the concept should be treated as superseded until Dell publishes final details.

Dell’s performance claims
Dell’s October 7, 2026 company post, written by Charlie Walker, describes the desktop as built to run continuously at full performance in a compact enclosure. It also makes two capability claims:
- Support for AI models up to 200 billion parameters
- Up to 1 petaflop of FP4 compute, also listed on Dell’s product page
These are vendor statements. No independent benchmark or hands-on review of the Creator Edition Desktop had been published by the reporting date, so do not read them as measured speeds. A petaflop figure at FP4 precision also depends on the number format used and is not directly comparable to general-purpose benchmark scores.
Windows on Arm and software compatibility
The desktop runs Windows 11 on Arm. Dell says Microsoft’s Prism translation layer supports both native Arm applications and existing x86 applications. That covers the platform in general terms only. A specific plug-in, driver, or peripheral may behave differently, so check each one you depend on before buying.

NVIDIA names Adobe among more than 100 Windows software providers adopting RTX Spark and says Adobe is rearchitecting Photoshop and Premiere for the platform. That is a statement about Adobe’s plans, not a guarantee that current versions of those applications are optimized for this desktop.

How it relates to other Dell AI systems
Dell’s AI Development Portfolio also lists the XPS 16 Creator Edition laptop and the Pro Precision with GB300. Dell says the desktop uses the same RTX Spark superchip and up to 128 GB of unified memory as the XPS 16 Creator Edition, but in a desktop form factor. The laptop and the desktop are for different use cases, so they are not direct alternatives to each other.

The platform is real and the top-line specifications are published by Dell and NVIDIA. What remains open is everything a buyer would use to decide: price, timing, configuration options, physical size, and ports. Until Dell replaces “AVAILABLE SOON” with a shipping offer, treat the desktop as an announced product and check its listing before planning a purchase or a workflow around it.

Note that the title’s “mini-PC” label is a press shorthand. Dell’s own term is micro desktop, and its product name is Creator Edition Desktop.
