In FC 27 Ultimate Team, you earn Coins by playing, collecting mode rewards, and selling Items at fair Transfer Market prices. FC Points are optional and must be obtained through supported purchase channels or edition offers. EA prohibits buying Coins from other players or transferring them between accounts.
Coins and FC Points: what’s the difference?
Coins are the in-game currency you earn through Ultimate Team. FC Points are a separate, optional currency that you can buy through supported channels or receive as part of an eligible FC 27 edition offer. EA says Coins cannot be purchased. EA’s Coins and Points safety guidance explains the distinction and the rules.

How to earn Coins in FC 27
Play Ultimate Team matches
Match rewards are a direct way to earn Coins. EA says FC 27 increased post-match Coin rewards in Rivals, Champions, and Squad Battles compared with FC 26. The update does not give one guaranteed FC 27 payout for every match; the amount can vary. For comparison, EA described roughly 500–600 Coins as typical for a match in FC 26. That figure is an FC 26 comparison, not a promise of FC 27 earnings. EA’s FC 27 launch update also says eligible matches can award 15–100 Season Points per match, up to 850 per day. Season Points are not Coins.

Claim mode and objective rewards
Rivals and other Ultimate Team modes can provide rewards, and EA also identifies Squad Building Challenges (SBCs) as a reward route. Check the current in-game reward details before committing time or Items to a particular mode or challenge, since available rewards and requirements can change.

- Gift Cards are shipped active and ready for use.
- This card is non-reloadable. No cash or ATM access. Funds do not expire. If available funds remain on your card after the valid thru date has passed, please call customer service for a replacement card. A one-time purchase fee applies at the time of checkout. No fees after purchase.
- To access your card information safely, type the complete website address shown on your Gift Card (MyGift.GiftCardMall.com) directly into your browser's address bar. Don't use search engines or shortened versions of the website address, as these may lead you to fake or fraudulent sites. Do not provide any Gift Card details (example: Card Number) to someone you do not know or trust. If you believe you've reached an illegitimate website, contact cardholder service at 1-888-524-1283. Be cautious of phishing sites, there are a variety of scams in which fraudsters try to trick others into paying with gift cards.
- To report your Lost or Stolen Physical Visa Card, call Customer Service 24/7 at 1 (888) 524-1283 to cancel your Gift Card as soon as you can. You will be asked to provide the Gift Card number and other identifying information.
- Use your Visa Gift Card in the U.S. everywhere Visa debit cards are accepted, including online.
Sell Items at fair Transfer Market prices
You can earn Coins by listing Items you own on the Transfer Market. Use reasonable prices in line with the market for that Item; an unusually high or low listing intended to move Coins between accounts is not a legitimate sale under EA’s rules.
How to get FC Points
EA lists these supported ways to obtain FC Points: purchase them in the Ultimate Team Store or your platform’s store, redeem a physical retailer card, or buy them from a trusted retailer. For a card or retailer offer, check that it is compatible with your region, platform, and FC 27 before paying. EA’s safety guidance lists the accepted routes.

EA prohibits buying Coins from third parties and transferring Coins to another player, including a friend. It also prohibits using the Transfer Market to disguise a transfer, such as listing an Item far above or below its usual Coin price, distributing Coins through giveaways, or funneling Coins or Items through multiple accounts. Keep sales within fair market pricing and use Coins only through legitimate play and trading.
