There is no single winner until you choose a Samsung Galaxy A model and a country. The OPPO F35 Pro 5G stands out on listed battery capacity, maximum display refresh rate and front-camera field of view. Recent Samsung A-series models have a stated multi-year software-support commitment, and the family spans several price tiers. The specifications below can help narrow the choice, but they do not establish which phone lasts longer in real use or takes better photos.
First, choose the Galaxy A model and market
“Galaxy A-series” names a family, not one phone. Samsung’s US lineup page lists the A57 5G, A37 5G, A27 5G and A17 5G, with different prices, memory and cameras. Those US prices cannot be compared fairly with reported India prices for the OPPO F35 Pro. For a purchase decision, compare models sold in the same country, at the same storage tier, using current prices on the same basis.
| Samsung US model | Starting price before eligible trade-in | Listed battery | Listed rear cameras |
|---|---|---|---|
| Galaxy A57 5G | $549.99 | 5000 mAh | 50 MP + 12 MP + 5 MP |
| Galaxy A37 5G | $449.99 | 5000 mAh | 50 MP + 8 MP + 5 MP |
| Galaxy A27 5G | $349.99 | 5000 mAh | 50 MP + 5 MP + 2 MP |
| Galaxy A17 5G | $249.99 | 5000 mAh | 50 MP + 5 MP + 2 MP |
These are the starting prices and specifications shown on Samsung’s US comparison page, accessed October 7, 2026; prices are before eligible trade-in and may change. See Samsung’s US Galaxy A-series comparison.
Where the OPPO F35 Pro has the specification edge
Battery capacity—not proven battery life
OPPO India lists an 8000 mAh typical battery capacity and 7780 mAh rated capacity for the F35 Pro. Samsung’s US comparison page lists 5000 mAh for each of the four models above. Capacity is not a real-world endurance test: screen settings, network conditions, software and use affect how long a charge lasts. The figures show the size of the batteries, not how many hours either phone will run.
#1 Best Overall
- Please note, this device does not support E-SIM; This 4G model is compatible with all GSM networks worldwide outside of the U.S. In the US, ONLY compatible with T-Mobile and their MVNO's (Metro and Standup). It will NOT work with other CDMA carriers, and it is also not compatible with their MVNO (Visible, Xfinity Mobile, US Mobile, Cricket Wireless, etc).
- Compatibility with certain third-party devices and accessibility accessories, including some hearing aids, may vary depending on manufacturer support, Bluetooth protocols, software compatibility, and regional firmware limitations. For additional hearing aid compatibility information, please refer to Samsung’s official support documentation.
- Camera: 50 MP, f/1.8, (wide), 1/2.76", 0.64µm, AF | 50 MP, f/1.8, (wide), 1/2.76", 0.64µm, AF | 2 MP, f/2.4, (macro). Battery: 5000 mAh, non-removable | A power adapter is NOT included.
Display and cameras
OPPO specifies a 17.22 cm AMOLED display with 2772 × 1272 resolution and an adaptive 60/90/120 Hz refresh rate, reaching a maximum 144 Hz. The F35 Pro’s listed cameras are a 50 MP main rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8 MP ultra-wide rear camera with a 116° field of view, and a 50 MP front camera with a 100° field of view. The rear camera supports 4K video at 30 fps. These are hardware specifications, not evidence that the OPPO produces better photos or video than a Galaxy A model.
Configurations, charging and protection
OPPO lists 6 GB RAM/128 GB storage, 8 GB/128 GB and 8 GB/256 GB configurations, with UFS 3.1 storage and no microSD expansion. The processor is a MediaTek Dimensity 7360 MAX, and maximum charging is listed as 80 W SUPERVOOC. The official specifications do not establish comparative processor speed, heat management or charging time against a particular Galaxy A model.

OPPO reports IP69K, IP69, IP68 and IP66 testing on the product page, while warning that water and dust protection is not permanent and may diminish with wear. A rating should not be read as a guarantee against damage. The same page’s in-box list names a charger, USB cable, SIM tool, protective case and quick guide along with the phone, but says box contents can vary by market. Check OPPO India’s F35 Pro specifications and market notes.

More price tiers to choose from
In the US lineup cited above, Samsung’s listed starting prices span $249.99 to $549.99 before eligible trade-in. That makes the A17 or A27 a different buying proposition from the A57; the family name alone does not tell you which phone matches the OPPO’s price or features. Samsung’s page also shows differences in storage and memory between models, so compare the exact configuration available to you.

A stated multi-year update policy
Samsung says the Galaxy A57 and A37 receive up to six generations of OS upgrades and up to six years of security updates in its March 25, 2026 announcement. Its June 25, 2026 A27 announcement specifies up to six Android OS and One UI upgrade generations plus six years of security updates. Confirm the policy for the exact model and region before buying: these are manufacturer commitments, and wording can vary by market. The cited OPPO pages do not establish a directly comparable Android OS or security-update period.
OPPO’s “6-Year Smoothness Protection” is a different claim: it describes a lab smoothness test, applies to 8 GB/256 GB and higher variants, and is five years for the 6 GB/128 GB variant. It should not be treated as an OS-upgrade or security-update promise. Read OPPO’s F35 Pro product-page qualifications.

A lower-tier Samsung may be a closer comparison
Samsung says the A27 has a 6.7-inch 120 Hz Super AMOLED display and a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 platform. It may be a more relevant model to investigate than the A57 for some budgets, but the available figures do not establish price parity with the India-priced F35 Pro. See Samsung’s A27 announcement.
What the F35 Pro costs in India

| 8 GB RAM/128 GB | ₹49,999 |
| 8 GB RAM/256 GB | ₹54,999 |

How to decide between them
- Pick the exact Galaxy A model. Start with the A57, A37, A27 or A17 available in your region; do not use “A-series” as a substitute for a model number.
- Compare like for like. Check current out-the-door prices, storage and memory for the same country. Account for trade-ins only if you qualify and would actually use one.
- Prioritize what matters to you. The F35 Pro’s listed capacity, maximum refresh rate and wide-angle selfie camera are notable on paper. Samsung’s stated update commitments and range of tiers may matter more if you plan to keep the phone for years or need a lower-cost model.
- Check evidence beyond specifications. For a firm decision, look for independent tests of battery endurance, camera quality, performance and heat behavior for the exact models. The cited specifications and announcements do not settle those comparisons.
Verdict: choose by your priority, not the family name
Consider the OPPO F35 Pro if its large stated battery, 144 Hz maximum refresh rate or 100° front-camera field of view are priorities and it is available at a suitable local price. Consider a recent Galaxy A if you value Samsung’s stated multi-year update policy or want to choose among several price tiers. Without a specific Samsung model and a same-market price comparison, declaring one phone universally better would be misleading.
