No—the free Star Wars Outlaws demo does not give you the full game. Ubisoft limits it to three hours of selected gameplay, and says demo progress will not carry over if you buy the game. This FAQ covers the demo, estimated playtime, supported platforms, cross-progression, manual saves, and the Switch 2 game card.
How long is Star Wars Outlaws?
Creative director Julian Gerighty gave a pre-release design estimate of 25–30 hours for the main “golden path” and 50–60 hours for completionists. The quote is reproduced in a Reddit community post; it is a developer target, not a measured average or a guaranteed completion time. Your actual time will vary with pace, exploration, and optional activities.

What platforms is Star Wars Outlaws on?
Ubisoft originally announced the game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Ubisoft later announced Steam and Amazon Luna availability, and its current game page links to a Nintendo Switch 2 edition. On PC, Ubisoft lists Ubisoft Connect, Epic Games Store, and Steam. Availability can vary by region and platform, so check the storefront or service you plan to use.
Ubisoft’s original Star Wars Outlaws FAQ said the game was not Steam Deck verified when that FAQ was published. That statement is time-specific; check the current Steam listing for the latest compatibility status.

Does Star Wars Outlaws have cross-save?
Yes. Ubisoft says players can use a Ubisoft Connect account to carry saves and progression across platforms. Its Switch 2 release FAQ specifically confirms cross-progression through Ubisoft Connect, and Ubisoft’s Steam release announcement also mentions cross-progression.
Cross-progression is not the same as a cross-platform purchase: the cited Ubisoft information does not say that buying the game once gives you copies on other platforms. You need access to the game on the platform where you want to play.

Can I manually save?
The PlayStation product page lists manual saving as a feature. See the Star Wars Outlaws PS5 page for that platform’s listed features.
If I download the free demo, do I keep the game?
No. Ubisoft describes the free offer as a demo, not a full-game entitlement. It is limited to three hours, and Ubisoft says progress made in the demo does not transfer to the full game. The sample includes the first quest on Tatooine, exploration, and some side activities. Ubisoft’s Demo FAQ explains the time limit, content, supported platforms, and transfer restriction; the current game page also lists the demo.

Is the Switch 2 version a complete game card?
No. Ubisoft identifies the Switch 2 edition as a Game-Key Card: you must download and install the game over the internet, and keep the card inserted to play. Ubisoft’s Switch 2 FAQ says the game includes both story packs.

Ubisoft lists Star Wars Outlaws through Ubisoft+ and has announced it on Amazon Luna. These are subscription or cloud-access routes rather than a statement that you own a copy outright. Service catalogs, prices, regional coverage, and availability can change, so confirm the current terms for your location with the service provider.
