It may be worth buying if you want to drive licensed Ford cars, take smaller courier jobs, customize vehicles, or explore locations in American Truck Simulator (ATS). If you mainly want the traditional truck-and-trailer loop, the DLC’s headline features may not add much for you. That’s a feature-fit judgment based on SCS Software’s description, not a hands-on quality verdict.
What does the ATS car DLC include?
The title refers to Road Trip: Ford, which SCS Software released on September 29, 2026. SCS lists the DLC for Steam on Windows, macOS, Linux, and SteamOS. Its factsheet gives regular prices of $7.99 USD, €7.99 EUR, and £6.79 GBP; these are publisher-listed regular prices, not a guarantee of what you will pay at checkout. SCS Software’s factsheet and release announcement describe the launch and features.
Four Ford vehicles and Car Mode
The pack unlocks Car Mode and these four vehicles:
- 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback
- 2023 Ford F-150
- 2023 Ford Bronco
- 1998–2012 Ford Crown Victoria
It also includes vehicle accessories and paint options.

Rather than only hauling standard truck loads, players can take smaller delivery jobs through Quick Jobs or the Dispatch Market and build courier reputation. The Atlas feature lets players visit named locations, read about them, and collect postcards. SCS also says cars and trucks can share roads on cooperative Convoy trips. Atlas can be used while driving a truck, so the DLC does not require you to spend all your time in cars.

What should you check before buying?
Whether the activities match how you play
The main change is access to cars and smaller courier activities alongside ATS’s existing trucking experience. If you want a different pace, licensed Ford vehicles, or sightseeing, those additions may suit you. If you want only conventional truck hauling, the core additions may be of little interest.
The current price and Steam checkout terms
SCS lists regular prices of $7.99 USD, €7.99 EUR, and £6.79 GBP. Check the Steam store in your account region before purchasing: the live price, any promotion or bundle discount, checkout total, and refund eligibility for your purchase are not established by those listed prices.

Atlas coverage and map expansions
At launch, SCS said Atlas and Tourist Boards were available in California and in the Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and South Dakota map expansions. The company said other states would be added gradually in future updates. If Atlas is a key reason to buy, check SCS’s coverage information for the current rollout and whether you own the relevant map content; do not assume every state is covered.

SCS says DLC owners can use Atlas while driving a truck as well as a car. That makes the feature relevant to some truck-focused players, but its value still depends on whether the Atlas locations and activities appeal to you.

Who is most likely to find it worthwhile?
