Beats Studio Pro can be worth buying if you want feature-rich over-ear headphones with USB-C audio, Apple and Android compatibility, and long manufacturer-claimed battery life—and can find them for meaningfully less than Beats’ listed $299.99 price. Their main compromises are noise cancellation that trails some premium rivals and comfort that depends on how the fit works for you.
What you get for the money
Beats lists the Studio Pro at $299.99 on its official product page. That is the manufacturer’s listed price, not a current retailer quote; check live listings before deciding whether a particular offer is good value. At full list price, compare them closely with alternatives if your priorities are top-tier noise cancellation or a reliably comfortable fit.
The case for buying is a mix of features: adaptive active noise cancellation (ANC), Transparency mode, USB-C lossless audio, Personalized Spatial Audio, and compatibility with Apple and Android devices. These make the Studio Pro more versatile than a pair chosen only for basic wireless listening, though some features have practical limits.

How do the Beats Studio Pro sound?
Beats says the headphones use a custom 40 mm driver and a digital processor, and describes their sound profile as balanced. SoundGuys gives the sound a positive overall assessment. That is a reviewer’s judgment, not a guarantee that the tuning will suit every listener: sound preference is personal, so try them with music you know if you can.
#1 Best Overall
- INCREDIBLE SOUND: Custom acoustic platform delivers rich, balanced audio for music, calls and everyday listening.
- LOSSLESS AUDIO SUPPORT: USB-C lossless audio and sound profiles optimize music quality across devices and environments. Additional option to use the 3.5 mm cable for a standard analog experience.
- ACTIVE NOISE CANCELLING (ANC): block distractions at work, on flights or during your daily commute. Or use Transparency mode to let the sounds of your environment mix in with your music.
- SEAMLESS WIRELESS CONNECTIVITY: One-touch pairing with Apple & Android for easy switching across devices.
- SPATIAL AUDIO IMMERSION: Personalized dynamic head tracking, 360-degree sound for movies, music and immersive everyday listening.
Are they comfortable to wear?
Beats lists UltraPlush engineered leather ear cushions, adjustable metal sliders, and a weight of 260 g. Those specifications do not determine whether the headphones will fit comfortably for you. SoundGuys’ displayed comfort score is 2.9; it is that publication’s score, not a standardized measure of comfort.
Fit can vary with head shape, ear size, and sensitivity to clamp pressure. If possible, check whether the ear cups surround your ears comfortably and whether the headband pressure feels acceptable. A return window can be useful when you cannot judge fit before purchase.

How long does the battery last?
Beats claims up to 40 hours of listening time with both ANC and Transparency mode off, or up to 24 hours with either feature enabled. These are manufacturer-claimed maximums, not independent test results; actual listening time can vary with use and settings.

The Studio Pro includes adaptive ANC and Transparency mode, which lets outside sound through when you want more awareness of your surroundings. RTINGS’ review says the headphones block a good amount of noise but trail premium competitors such as the Bose QuietComfort Ultra. That is a comparative review assessment, not a claim that the Studio Pro cannot reduce noise.

If strong ANC is your deciding factor, compare performance and fit before buying rather than assuming the Studio Pro leads its price class. A headphone’s seal and comfort also affect how useful noise cancellation feels in everyday wear.
What does USB-C audio do—and what is its limitation?
Beats lists USB-C lossless audio, giving you a wired listening option alongside wireless use. SoundGuys notes an important limitation: ANC and Transparency cannot be used while audio is playing over USB. If you expect to listen by USB while retaining noise cancellation or passthrough, that setup will not meet that expectation.

How do they compare with Sony and Bose?
RTINGS’ June 15, 2026 comparison favors the Sony WH-1000XM4 over the Studio Pro for ANC, comfort for most people, and battery life. RTINGS also identifies the Bose QuietComfort Ultra as a stronger ANC comparison point in its Studio Pro review. These are useful reviewer comparisons, but your fit and current purchase price may change which option makes sense.
