If your Mammotion LUBA 3 won’t connect to the app, map the lawn, or start mowing, diagnose the failure in this order: identify whether Bluetooth or Wi-Fi is failing, check Wi-Fi separately, verify mapping and positioning, review the installed firmware, then escalate. Avoid a factory reset until last: Mammotion warns that it erases the map.
First, identify what “won’t connect” means
LUBA 3 uses Bluetooth and Wi-Fi for different tasks. Mammotion says both are required for initial setup and firmware updates. Bluetooth can support mapping and several local controls without Wi-Fi, while Wi-Fi enables remote status monitoring and remote job control. See Mammotion’s LUBA 3 Bluetooth and Wi-Fi requirements.
- Phone cannot connect locally over Bluetooth: Move the phone close to the mower and confirm Bluetooth is enabled and the app has Bluetooth permission. The cited Mammotion guidance does not provide a model-specific permission checklist.
- Mower will not join home Wi-Fi: Follow the Wi-Fi checks below; this is separate from local Bluetooth connection.
- Remote status or job control is unavailable: Check Wi-Fi, since these remote functions use it.
If LUBA 3 won’t connect to Wi-Fi
Mammotion says LUBA 3 supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. A network using only another band may not work for joining the mower. During setup or firmware updates, bring the mower closer to the router and reduce distance or obstacles between them. Mammotion’s Wi-Fi troubleshooting guidance recommends trying a phone hotspot to determine whether the home router is the cause.
- Confirm the network has a 2.4 GHz band available.
- Move LUBA 3 near the router and retry the connection.
- Try connecting through a phone hotspot. If the hotspot works, investigate the home router or its coverage; if neither works, continue with Mammotion’s restart sequence.
- Power the mower off, unplug the rear “Key,” reseat it, and power the mower on again.
If LUBA 3 won’t map or the map disappeared
Choose the mapping mode for the lawn
Mammotion recommends manual mapping for complex environments. Automatic mapping is intended for a neat, level lawn with clear boundaries and grass shorter than 10 cm (4 in); the support article does not state its publication year. See the LUBA 3 mapping instructions.

The system identifies over 300 obstacle types and calculates the safest, most efficient path in real time, ensuring precise and uninterrupted lawn coverage.
Make a complete manual boundary
When manually mapping, Mammotion recommends keeping the mower about 1.5 meters from the actual lawn boundary and closing the loop so its endpoints overlap. If the resulting map runs too close to trees, walls, or other obstructions, inspect the boundary and adjust it to leave the mower clear of those obstacles.
Edit a boundary rather than remapping unnecessarily
To adjust an existing boundary, open the map page and select Map Editing. Mammotion documents different boundary-adjustment labels for iOS and Android in its map editing instructions. If the map has disappeared, first check the installed firmware and the release notes below; resetting the mower is not a harmless first troubleshooting step because it erases the map.

If LUBA 3 reports poor positioning or won’t start mowing
Poor positioning can be caused by conditions around the mower or by the RTK reference station. Check both sides rather than assuming a single cause.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsCheck the RTK station
- Confirm the station has power and that its connections are secure.
- Check that it is installed with an open view of the sky.
- Look for a solid green LED, as Mammotion specifies for the station.
Check where the mower stops
Inspect the stopping point for trees, walls, or other obstructions that may interfere with positioning. If the mapped boundary brings the mower too close to an obstruction, edit it to keep the mower clear. Mammotion’s poor-positioning troubleshooting guide asks owners with unresolved problems to provide a video around the stopping point, an app screenshot of POS information, and app log-feedback.

Check installed firmware against Mammotion’s release notes
Check the firmware version installed on your mower in the app, then compare it with Mammotion’s LUBA 3 firmware release log. A release-log entry does not establish which version is installed on your device, and the version listed there should not be treated as the current latest version without checking the live page.
Mammotion’s release log lists version 2.3.27.23 dated July 18, 2026, with fixes for device positioning failures, occasional missing maps, and incorrect RTK movement reports. The same log also lists earlier fixes related to network stability and unexpected stops. Its release note says: “Fixed an issue where device positioning could fail.”

- Compatible with all robotic lawnmowers, excluding the YUKA series.
- Simply place the robot mower on the stand to lift the chassis for easy and stable access to clean the blades and the bottom.
- Simplifies maintenance by thorough all-round cleaning and protects the robotic lawnmower from dirt and moisture during the washing process.
Factory reset is a last resort
Mammotion recommends factory reset for a mower that is powered on but cannot connect through either Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. It warns that reset erases the map, so use it only after the connection checks above and only if losing the saved map is acceptable. Follow Mammotion’s official LUBA 3 reset instructions for the button sequence.
