Reseller hosting lets you sell separate hosting accounts to clients while managing them from a parent account. The important distinction is between a conventional cPanel/WHM reseller plan and a VPS that you must configure yourself.

This list uses the nine providers shown on HostAdvice’s UK reseller-hosting page: Verpex, HostArmada, FastHosts, ChemiCloud, NameHero, HostPapa, Kamatera, Namecheap and ScalaHosting. HostAdvice says it used test accounts, account creation, DNS and SSL checks, branding tests, response-time measurements in London, Manchester and Birmingham, support tickets, and two weeks of uptime tracking. That is the publisher’s stated methodology, not independently corroborated testing.

Editorial note: the similarly titled Positioniseverything article says “Apr 2026” but was published on May 27, 2026. Its summary table also includes Namecheap, while its detailed list includes Heart Internet instead. The comparison below follows the separate HostAdvice list and flags prices that are not directly comparable.

Quick comparison

HostAdvice displays the following figures in its comparison table. Treat the prices as starting figures rather than like-for-like monthly costs: the page mixes US-dollar table prices with pound-denominated provider-card prices, and the billing term, VAT, renewal rate and promotional period are not consistently clear.

HostArmada $19.60 40–150 50–200 GB 3–12 TB
FastHosts $20.29 5–50 4–16 GB Unlimited

Namecheap $19.88 25–150 30–150 GB Unmetered
ScalaHosting $14.95 Unlimited 50–2,000 GB N/A

For example, HostAdvice’s provider cards show Verpex at £0.44 per month, Namecheap at £1.10 and ScalaHosting at £2.19, despite the table showing $1.80, $19.88 and $14.95 respectively. Those figures may reflect different currencies, terms or promotions. Check the checkout page for the actual first-term and renewal totals before choosing.

1. Verpex

Best for: agencies and small hosting businesses that want a familiar cPanel/WHM workflow.

HostAdvice describes Verpex as using cPanel and WHM to create packages, apply branding and manage client access. The comparison table shows 15–50 cPanel accounts, 50–500 GB of storage and unlimited bandwidth, with a starting price of $1.80.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The practical risk is resource contention. A busy client can consume enough CPU, RAM, processes or disk I/O to affect other accounts. Separate packages, stricter quotas or an upgrade may be needed. Verpex support should not be treated as application-development support or custom server-tuning support.

A separate HostAdvice UK-hosting review reports different Verpex figures, including 15–200 cPanel accounts, up to 4 GB of LVE RAM per cPanel account, LiteSpeed, custom nameservers, white-label WHM, free migrations and a 45-day money-back guarantee. Because those numbers come from a different review and do not match the reseller table, verify the exact plan before publishing an offer to clients.

2. HostArmada

Best for: resellers wanting comparatively generous account and bandwidth figures in a managed-style package.

HostAdvice lists HostArmada at $19.60, with 40–150 cPanel accounts, 50–200 GB of storage and 3–12 TB of bandwidth. Its provider card shows a 45-day money-back period.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

The account count is only one part of the capacity calculation. A portfolio of 100 low-traffic brochure sites is a very different workload from 100 stores with cron jobs, image processing and busy databases. Ask how CPU, RAM, inode, email and process limits apply to each cPanel account, and whether WHMCS is included or charged separately.

Sandisk 1TB Portable SSD, Up to 800MB/s Read Speeds, Black (Old Model)
  • Solid state performance with up to 800MB/s read speeds in a portable drive. (Based on internal testing; performance may be lower depending on host device, interface, usage conditions and other factors. 1MB=1,000,000 bytes.)
  • Back up your content and memories on a storage solution that fits seamlessly into your mobile lifestyle.
  • Take it with you on your adventures—up to two-meter drop protection means this durable drive can take a beating. (Based on internal testing.)
  • Secure it to your belt loop or backpack for extra peace of mind thanks to the tough rubber hook.
  • From Sandisk, a brand professional photographers trust to take on assignments.

3. FastHosts

Best for: customers who prefer a UK-established general hosting company and do not need the most cPanel-specialised reseller experience.

HostAdvice shows FastHosts at $20.29, with 5–50 cPanel accounts, 4–16 GB of storage and unlimited bandwidth. The small storage allocation at the lower end makes the entry plan more suitable for lightweight sites than media-heavy client portfolios.

FastHosts offers domains, hosting, email, VPS and dedicated servers. The Positioniseverything review characterises its reseller tooling as less specialised than cPanel-first competitors. That does not make it unusable, but agencies should test the client-account, branding, billing and migration workflow before moving a large portfolio.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

4. ChemiCloud

Best for: resellers comparing mid-range cPanel plans with defined bandwidth allowances.

The HostAdvice table lists ChemiCloud at $17.95, with 30–100 cPanel accounts, 60–200 GB of storage and 3–12 TB of bandwidth.

ChemiCloud’s figures look attractive for a conventional shared-hosting reseller model, but headline bandwidth is not a performance guarantee. Before signing up, check whether the plan limits CPU time, simultaneous processes, database size, mailboxes, outgoing email or inode usage. Those restrictions often determine how many real client sites the account can carry.

5. NameHero

Best for: WordPress, brochure and lighter ecommerce portfolios.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

HostAdvice lists NameHero at $18.80, with 40–150 cPanel accounts, 60–270 GB of storage and 0.6–2.7 TB of bandwidth.

Seagate 2TB Portable Hard Drive | USB 3.0 (STGX2000400)
  • Easily store and access 2TB to content on the go with the Seagate Portable Drive, a USB external hard drive
  • Designed to work with Windows or Mac computers, this external hard drive makes backup a snap just drag and drop
  • To get set up, connect the portable hard drive to a computer for automatic recognition no software required
  • This USB drive provides plug and play simplicity with the included 18 inch USB 3.0 cable
  • The available storage capacity may vary.

HostAdvice’s assessment is more cautious for demanding workloads: heavy or high-traffic clients may need an earlier upgrade, while a VPS reseller setup provides more flexibility. Plan client separation in advance. A large WooCommerce store, membership site or traffic spike should not be allowed to consume the same resource pool as dozens of small sites without monitoring and package limits.

6. HostPapa

Best for: small resellers wanting a conventional account-based plan with a moderate entry price.

HostAdvice shows HostPapa at $14.95, with 20–150 cPanel accounts, 50–250 GB of storage and 0.5–2 TB of bandwidth. Its provider card shows a 30-day money-back period.

The wide range between the lowest and highest plan figures means the entry tier may not resemble the top tier in account capacity. Compare the number of accounts, storage and bandwidth on the exact plan you intend to buy, then check renewal pricing and any separate licence costs for billing software, backups or security features.

7. Kamatera

Best for: technically capable operators who want VPS-style control rather than turnkey reseller hosting.

Kamatera is the outlier in this list. HostAdvice shows a $4.00 starting price, 20–4,000 GB of storage and 5 TB of bandwidth, but cPanel-account availability is undisclosed. More importantly, HostAdvice says the base service does not include cPanel or WHM. Backups and security tools also require manual configuration.

That means the advertised starting price is not a direct comparison with a managed cPanel reseller plan. You may need to budget for:

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.
  • cPanel/WHM licensing and installation;
  • server hardening, firewall rules and malware protection;
  • automated off-server backups and restore testing;
  • DNS, mail and SSL configuration;
  • monitoring, patching and incident response.

Kamatera can be the better architecture for an experienced administrator, but it should not be presented to non-technical buyers as a ready-made reseller package.

  • SPACE TO OWN YOUR AI CONTENT – speed and capacity to download your high-res clips and photo edits.
  • 256-BIT AES ENCRYPTION(4) – helps keep private files secure with password protection.

8. Namecheap

Best for: modest-traffic portfolios where domains and basic cPanel hosting are central to the service.

HostAdvice lists Namecheap at $19.88, with 25–150 cPanel accounts, 30–150 GB of storage and unmetered bandwidth. It describes a WHM/cPanel workflow for client sites, email accounts and domains.

HostAdvice places it below more performance-oriented choices for busy portfolios. Reported edge cases include slower performance when many active sites share the account, longer troubleshooting for complex email deliverability or multilayer caching, and reliance on paid add-ons in some situations.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

“Unmetered” bandwidth still does not mean unlimited server resources. Ask about fair-use provisions, CPU and process limits, email sending restrictions and the conditions that trigger suspension or an upgrade.

9. ScalaHosting

Best for: high-account-count plans, provided you enforce per-client resource limits.

HostAdvice lists ScalaHosting at $14.95, with 50–2,000 GB of storage, bandwidth shown as N/A and unlimited cPanel accounts.

Unlimited accounts should be read as “not capped by a simple account number,” not as unlimited usable capacity. CPU, RAM, processes, disk I/O, databases, inodes and email activity still constrain the server. HostAdvice specifically qualifies the unlimited-account claim: resource-heavy customers can affect neighbours, so packages, quotas, isolation or a higher-tier service remain necessary.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Performance is reported as more consistent when CPU and process usage are capped per package and busy clients are separated early. In practice, create different packages for brochure sites, WordPress sites and resource-heavy stores rather than placing every customer on one unrestricted plan.

How to choose a UK reseller host

  1. Decide whether you need cPanel/WHM. If clients need separate accounts, email, DNS and familiar control-panel access, a conventional reseller plan is usually simpler. A VPS such as Kamatera offers more control but makes you responsible for more of the stack.
  2. Calculate capacity using real clients. Count expected sites, databases, mailboxes, backups and storage—not just the advertised account limit. Ten busy stores can be harder to host than 100 static sites.
  3. Check resource enforcement. Look for CPU, RAM, process, I/O, inode, database and email limits. “Unlimited” storage, accounts or bandwidth is always bounded by fair-use and server-resource policies.
  4. Confirm the server location. UK support, UK billing and a UK domain do not prove that the hosting server is in the UK. Ask for the actual data-centre location if latency, data residency or contractual requirements matter.
  5. Price the complete service. Check the currency, billing term, VAT, introductory period, renewal price, domain charges, backups, migrations, WHMCS and security add-ons. WHMCS is not included with every reseller plan.
  6. Test before migrating. Create a test account, add a domain, configure DNS, issue an SSL certificate, create an email mailbox, test a restore and open a support ticket. The supplied sources mention these operations but do not verify universal current dashboard paths or button labels, so do not rely on an assumed menu name.
  7. Separate demanding customers. Put high-traffic, ecommerce or CPU-heavy accounts on dedicated packages or a VPS before they become a noisy neighbour problem.

UK hosting, latency and GDPR

A UK server may reduce network distance for UK visitors, but the supplied research does not verify a universal latency saving. The precise claim that UK hosting reduces latency by 50–100 ms is unsupported by the retrieved source set.

Likewise, a UK data centre does not automatically make a hosting service GDPR-compliant. Compliance depends on the data processed, controller and processor responsibilities, contracts, access controls, retention, backups and security procedures. Treat provider compliance statements as starting points for due diligence, not as a legal determination.

Which provider is best?

Verpex is the most natural starting point for a cPanel/WHM-focused small reseller, subject to resource limits and plan verification. HostArmada, ChemiCloud and NameHero are sensible mid-range candidates to compare for managed shared-hosting workloads. FastHosts is worth considering when a broader UK hosting supplier matters more than specialised reseller tooling. HostPapa and Namecheap fit modest portfolios, while ScalaHosting is attractive for account count only if packages and resource caps are managed carefully. Choose Kamatera when you specifically want an administrator-controlled VPS and are prepared to build the reseller platform yourself.

Before paying, verify the live checkout price, renewal price, server location, included licences, resource limits, backup policy and cancellation terms. Those details matter more than the largest number in a comparison table.

FAQ

What is the cheapest UK reseller hosting provider in this comparison?

The lowest comparison-table starting price is Kamatera at $4.00, but it is a VPS-style service without built-in cPanel/WHM, with backups and security requiring manual configuration. Verpex is shown at $1.80 in the table, although its separate provider card displays £0.44; these figures cannot be compared safely without checking currency and billing term.

Is cPanel included with every provider?

No. Most of the conventional reseller options are described around cPanel/WHM, but Kamatera’s base offering does not include cPanel or WHM. Licence, setup and administration costs must be added when comparing it with turnkey reseller plans.

Special offer. See more information about Outbyte and uninstall instructions. Please review EULA and Privacy policy.

Does unlimited bandwidth mean unlimited hosting capacity?

No. CPU, RAM, process, I/O, inode, database, email and fair-use limits can still restrict an account. Unlimited bandwidth or accounts should never be used as the sole basis for estimating how many client sites a plan can host.

Does UK reseller hosting guarantee GDPR compliance?

No. A UK server is only one factor. GDPR responsibilities depend on the data, contracts, security controls, access, retention and backup arrangements. Obtain the provider’s current contractual and privacy documentation and assess your own responsibilities.

Is WHMCS included in reseller hosting?

Not universally. Some providers include it only on qualifying or higher-tier plans, while others charge separately. Confirm the exact plan inclusions before advertising automated billing or provisioning to clients.

The Bottom Line

Bottom line: For a conventional cPanel/WHM reseller business, start by comparing Verpex, HostArmada, ChemiCloud, NameHero and ScalaHosting on real resource limits—not account counts alone. Choose Kamatera only if you want to administer a VPS yourself. Whatever the provider, confirm currency, renewal pricing, server location, backups, licences and per-account limits before migrating customer sites.
