For a spec-led all-round choice, put the POCO X7 5G 8GB configuration near the top of your shortlist. Current comparison listings also put the realme P3 5G and CMF Phone 2 Pro below ₹20,000, while the Samsung Galaxy M17 5G is worth checking if software support matters most. These are listing and guide-based recommendations, not hands-on test results; confirm the seller’s live price, stock and exact RAM/storage variant before buying.

Which 8GB RAM phones are listed under ₹20,000?

Comparison pages updated in October 2026 show several candidates below the budget, but their prices are snapshots rather than guaranteed offers. Smartprix’s list was updated October 7, 2026; 91mobiles shows a separate set of prices, and Gadgets Now’s guide contains conflicting Galaxy M17 price references. Use the figures to build a shortlist, then verify the exact listing.

Smartprix also includes an “upcoming” Vivo Y300t, which should not be treated as currently purchasable. Gadgets Now lists the realme P4x at ₹21,999, above this budget at that price; consider it only if a live offer brings the relevant 8GB version below ₹20,000.

Which phone fits your priorities?

For a spec-led all-rounder: POCO X7 5G

Gadgets Now identifies the POCO X7 as its all-round pick, and Smartprix lists an 8GB configuration at ₹17,999, with an 8GB/256GB option at ₹19,999. The guide highlights its AMOLED display and ultra-wide camera flexibility. That makes it a sensible starting point if media viewing and a useful secondary camera focal length matter, but the listing price and variant need a live check.

For a lower listed price: realme P3 5G

Smartprix lists the 8GB/128GB realme P3 5G at ₹16,999. 91mobiles separately lists the realme P3 256GB at ₹18,499. Confirm whether the seller’s particular model has 8GB of physical RAM and which storage capacity is included; the different entries should not be assumed to describe the same variant.

  • Long-lasting battery + TurboPower charging***: Work and play all day with a 5000mAh battery, then get hours of power in just minutes.

For software support: Samsung Galaxy M17 5G

Gadgets Now frames the Galaxy M17 as its longer-support choice and lists an 8GB/128GB model. Its guide gives two different price references—₹15,111 in the table and ₹18,499 in the article text—so check the current price and seller. Verify the remaining support commitment against Samsung’s current support information before making support longevity the deciding factor.

For battery emphasis: realme P4x, only if it falls under budget

Gadgets Now positions the P4x as a battery- and performance-oriented option and describes a 7,000mAh battery, but its listed price is ₹21,999. The guide describes its LCD display and camera as functional rather than ambitious. It is therefore not a sub-₹20,000 recommendation at the cited price; revisit it only if an eligible 8GB version is actually available below the cap.

For a durability-focused alternative: OPPO A5 Pro

How to compare 8GB phones beyond the RAM label

Eight gigabytes of RAM is only one part of the experience. Compare the specific configuration and the features you will use, rather than treating every phone with the same RAM figure as equivalent.

Rank #4
Moto G Power 5G | 2024 | Unlocked | Made for US 8/128GB | 50MP Camera | Midnight Blue
  • 6.7" FHD+ 120Hz display* and Dolby Atmos**. Upgrade your entertainment with an incredibly sharp, fluid display backed by multidimensional stereo sound.
  • 50MP camera system with OIS. Capture sharper low-light photos with an unshakable camera system featuring Optical Image Stabilization.*****
  • Unbelievable battery life and fast recharging. Work and play nonstop with a long-lasting 5000mAh battery, then fuel up with 30W TurboPower charging.***
  • Superfast 5G performance. Make the most of 5G speed with the MediaTek Dimensity 7020, an octa-core processor with frequencies up to 2.2GHz.******
  • Tons of built-in ultrafast storage. Enjoy plenty of room for photos, movies, songs, and apps—and add up to 1TB with a microSD card.
  • Physical RAM and storage: Confirm 8GB physical RAM, then note whether storage is 128GB or 256GB. Do not count virtual or dynamic RAM as physical memory.
  • Processor and storage type: Check the chipset and storage technology alongside RAM; the memory figure alone does not establish gaming speed or app responsiveness.
  • Display: Compare panel type, resolution, brightness, refresh rate and flat versus curved design. The cited guide favors the POCO X7’s AMOLED for multimedia and identifies the P4x as LCD.
  • Battery, charging and weight: Capacity is not the whole trade-off. Consider charging rate and how heavy the handset is, too. The guide contrasts the P4x’s 7,000mAh battery with the POCO X7’s 5,500mAh capacity and stronger display emphasis.
  • Cameras: Look for useful focal options and stabilization, not only megapixels or extra sensors. The POCO X7 guide highlights ultra-wide flexibility; it characterizes the P4x camera as functional rather than ambitious.
  • Durability and support: Compare stated water/dust protection, build claims and the remaining software-support window. Check manufacturer information for current support terms.
  • Price and stock: Recheck the exact seller and variant immediately before purchase. The conflicting Galaxy M17 references show why a guide price should not be treated as a guaranteed offer.

How should you interpret performance listings?

91mobiles’ 2026 table reports benchmark figures of 677,110 for Moto G86 Power, 620,648 for Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, 646,751 for POCO X7, 715,922 for vivo T3 and 764,410 for realme P3 256GB. The cited page extract does not establish the benchmark method or test conditions, so these figures are source-reported values—not independently verified, directly comparable performance results. They are not a sound basis by themselves for ranking these phones.

What to verify before placing an order

  1. Open the live retailer listing and confirm the handset is in stock and deliverable to your location.
  2. Check the exact model name, physical RAM and storage capacity. Do not infer the variant from a headline that only says “8GB RAM.”
  3. Compare the current checkout price with the ₹20,000 ceiling, including any conditions attached to discounts or bank offers.
  4. For a support- or protection-led decision, verify the manufacturer’s current terms and the specifications for the exact model sold in India.

The comparison pages establish useful shortlists and price snapshots, but they do not verify every seller, current stock or manufacturer support terms.
