8BitDo’s Gears of War: E-Day design gives two separate PC peripherals a black-and-red, battle-worn look: the Retro 87 Mechanical Keyboard and Retro R8 Mouse. The company describes the theme through fractured-earth, crimson-energy and COG-insignia motifs. They are sold separately, not as a bundle. Here’s what each offers and what the listed price and shipping date were when checked on October 3, 2026.
What are the Gears of War: E-Day keyboard and mouse?
They are themed editions of 8BitDo’s existing Retro 87 keyboard and Retro R8 mouse, rather than a single combined product. 8BitDo describes the special edition as inspired by the war-torn world of Gears of War and the visual language of Emergence Day. The design uses black and red with distressed, fractured-earth styling, crimson-energy accents and COG insignia.
The keyboard is an 87-key mechanical model with hot-swappable switches and three connection options. The mouse has a PAW 3395 sensor, adjustable DPI, programmable side buttons and an included charging dock. The official feature and performance details below are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results. See 8BitDo’s product page.
