The Amazon coverage leaves several purchase-critical details unclear, including battery capacity, frame material, suspension quality, brake specifications, and component brands. It also does not establish the current seller, exact model or ASIN, return terms, warranty, or availability of replacement parts and service. Confirm those details on the exact live product page before paying; do not assume a seller’s advertised price or terms remain available.

What do “8000W” and the speed claims tell you?
“Peak” power is not the same as continuous or rated power. The reported Amazon claim is 8000W peak, and the EB10 page uses 6000W/8000W dual-motor labeling; neither source establishes reliable continuous output. Likewise, the advertised 47 mph for the Amazon item and 40–45 mph for the EB10 are not independently verified top speeds.
The EB10 page’s “up to 90 miles” is a seller claim, not a typical range estimate backed by a disclosed test. Without a standardized test and its conditions, a shopper cannot use that figure to predict range on a particular route. No independent top-speed or range test for the exact $1,099 product is established in the available coverage.

Is an 8000W e-bike street legal?
Not automatically. A 2000 U.S. House report reproduces the federal Consumer Product Safety Act definition of a low-speed electric bicycle: a two- or three-wheeled vehicle with fully operable pedals and a motor of less than 750 watts, whose motor-only maximum speed is less than 20 mph on a paved, level surface with a 170-pound rider. Those are federal consumer-product thresholds in that definition; they are not a complete national rule for where a vehicle may be ridden on public roads.
If the advertised 8000W and 47 mph figures are accurate, the bike is far outside those low-speed thresholds. That fact alone does not establish its legal classification or permission to ride it in every state. States and local jurisdictions may have their own definitions and rules for equipment, registration, licensing, helmets, roads, bike lanes, and paths.
Before buying or riding, check the vehicle code and DMV guidance for your state, then check local rules for the specific roads, bike lanes, trails, or paths you plan to use. Do not rely on the product being marketed as an “e-bike” as proof that it qualifies for ordinary bicycle access.

Is it safe enough to buy?
The available information does not establish that this exact bike is safe or unsafe. It contains no independent brake test or stopping-distance measurement, frame fatigue or crash test, or verified speed or range test. At claimed speeds approaching 50 mph, missing brake and structural details matter to a buying decision; their absence is not proof that the bike will fail.
Check the certification claim against the exact model
E·BYCCO advertises UL 2849/2271 certification for the EB10, but no traceable certificate for the exact product is established here. Confirm that any certificate or certification record identifies the same bike, battery, and charger being sold. UL 2849 addresses an e-bike electrical system; it is not independent proof that the bike’s frame, brakes, handling, or every other component has been tested as safe.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission recommends wearing a bicycle helmet and provides lithium-ion battery safety guidance. It has urged manufacturers and importers to comply with relevant voluntary standards, including ANSI/CAN/UL 2849 for e-bike electrical systems. In December 2022, CPSC said compliance with relevant standards significantly reduces micromobility fire injury and death risks. A certification claim should therefore be checked, not treated as a substitute for model-specific documentation or a mechanical safety assessment.

What the fire reports do—and do not—show
At least 208 micromobility fire or overheating incident reports from 39 states, resulting in at least 19 fatalities (including three associated with e-bikes) — U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, 2022. These reports covered e-scooters, hoverboards, and e-bikes. They are not a per-bike risk rate and do not show that this unnamed listing has a defect.
In a separate example of model-specific battery concerns, CPSC’s March 19, 2026 warning about Ridstar Q20/Q20 Pro batteries and wires reported 11 fires, one burn injury, five smoke inhalation reports, and two property-damage reports totaling over $40,000. That warning concerns Ridstar products, not the bike discussed here.

What to verify before placing an order
- Match the product identity. Record the exact brand, model, and Amazon ASIN or other listing identifier, plus the seller’s name. Confirm that any specification sheet, certification record, warranty, and manual refer to that exact product—not merely a similar-looking bike.
- Get complete power and performance details. Ask for rated or continuous motor power in addition to peak power, and for independent speed and range results with test conditions disclosed. Treat seller figures as marketing claims unless supported by those records.
- Confirm road and path access where you will ride. Check your state’s vehicle classification and DMV or vehicle-code requirements, then verify local rules for bike lanes, paths, and trails. Establish whether registration, a license, insurance, required equipment, or a particular helmet is required for the vehicle’s classification.
- Verify electrical-system and battery documentation. Check that any UL certification record covers the exact bike or electrical system and the battery and charger supplied. Identify the battery and charger models, and check CPSC recalls or warnings for the exact products.
- Check mechanical details and support. Get specific brake and rotor information, lighting and control details, frame specifications, warranty terms, and written confirmation of replacement-part and service availability. For a vehicle advertised at these speeds, do not infer stopping capability from a generic “hydraulic brakes” label.
- Recheck the transaction terms. Confirm the live price, seller, shipping, return window, and who handles warranty claims immediately before purchase.
Who should consider it—and who should pass?
It may fit a buyer seeking a project for controlled private-property use
A technically experienced buyer who can verify the exact bike and its documentation, arrange appropriate inspection and maintenance, and use it only where its classification and speed are permitted may decide to investigate further. The currently available claims alone do not establish that it is suitable for that use.
Pass if you need a conventional public-road commuter
