Not every Mortal Kombat fan needs eight accessories to play. The right choices depend on your platform and whether you want to improve your setup, display character figures, or explore the franchise’s history. These eight options cover those different jobs without treating collectibles as gaming necessities.
Accessories for playing Mortal Kombat
1. A controller compatible with your platform
Start with the controller your system supports. The official Mortal Kombat 1 site lists PlayStation 5, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, Steam, and Epic Games Store. A controller that works with one system may not work with another, so check compatibility with both your platform and game before buying. The available product information does not establish one controller model or layout as best.
2. An arcade stick, if you prefer arcade-style controls
An arcade stick is an optional alternative to a standard controller, not a requirement or a proven performance upgrade. PlayStation’s Mortal Kombat 1 page features promotional imagery of an arcade stick, but that does not establish an endorsement or show that it is better for the game. Confirm that any stick you consider supports your platform and the game you plan to play.

3. A Mortal Kombat action figure
For a larger character display, McFarlane Toys lists Mortal Kombat figures, including Scorpion and Sub-Zero editions. Listings and stock can change; several figures were marked sold out when the store was accessed. Check the exact character, edition, and current availability on the McFarlane Toys Mortal Kombat page.

5. The Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection Kollector’s Edition
This physical collector set combines a game collection with display and keepsake items. Atari’s product page describes a Goro controller-holder statue, a commemorative arcade token, a hardcover art and lore book, and other extras. The Atari page stated a price of $149.99 and preorder shipping in December 2026 when accessed; both details are time-sensitive, so check the Atari product page for current price and shipping information.

6. The Legacy Kollection for its archival material
If your interest is the series’ history rather than shelf display, the collection’s archival features may matter more than the physical extras. PlayStation describes it as covering early arcade games and home versions, with an interactive documentary, original developer interviews, rare concept art, archival footage, and character histories. See PlayStation’s Legacy Kollection page for its description.

7. An Arcade Classics Mortal Kombat toy
Basic Fun’s manufacturer instructions identify an Arcade Classics Mortal Kombat toy. The instructions establish that the physical item exists, but do not establish current availability or broader product specifications. Review the Basic Fun instructions page and the specific product listing before purchasing; follow the item’s battery and small-parts warnings.
Rank #3

8. A franchise-themed room or desk accessory
Wall art, mats, keychains, mugs, and apparel can personalize a gaming space without changing how the game plays. The available merchandise page describes these kinds of categories, but its licensing claims are not independently established here. Don’t assume a product is officially licensed based only on a shop’s wording; look for a clear manufacturer or authorized-retailer identification before buying.
