The strongest matches in Lenovo’s 2022-era gaming range depend on the exact configuration: the IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ARH05 is the clearest budget anchor in the available specifications, while several IdeaPad and Legion models offer high-refresh displays. Treat these as model-family recommendations, not promises about every laptop sold under the same name: screen, graphics and price can vary by SKU and region.

Which model is the best budget Lenovo gaming laptop?
IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ARH05: the clearest budget anchor
Lenovo India’s store listing for the IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ARH05 specifies an AMD Ryzen 5 4600H, a 15.6-inch FHD display and a 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD. That India listing showed a selling price of ₹67,990 when crawled in 2026; it is a regional, time-sensitive listing price, not a current global price or a promise of availability.

IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH6: a budget-generation alternative
Lenovo’s PSREF documents the 15ACH6 with an AMD Ryzen 5 5600H configuration and RTX 3050 or RTX 3050 Ti graphics options, as well as an FHD 144Hz panel option. The refresh-rate and GPU details are options, not specifications to assume for every unit. Confirm that the seller’s exact SKU combines the screen and graphics you want.
Which Lenovo Ryzen gaming laptop has a 144Hz screen?
The documented Ryzen choices that directly meet the 144Hz target include the IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ACH6 and Legion 5 15ARH05. Lenovo describes the Legion 5 15ARH05’s 15.6-inch FHD option as offering up to 144Hz, a response time under 5 ms and 100% sRGB. “Up to” matters: those display characteristics describe an available option, not every configuration bearing the model name.

The Legion 5 15ACH6A is another Ryzen high-refresh choice, but its documented configuration is a 15.6-inch WQHD 165Hz FreeSync panel, which exceeds 144Hz rather than matching it exactly. Lenovo’s PSREF specifies a Ryzen 5 5600H platform for this model.

The Legion 5 15ARH05 is the step-up candidate in this group when the documented 100% sRGB FHD panel option is important. Lenovo’s family specifications also list DDR4-3200 memory and NVMe storage. The IdeaPad Gaming 3 15ARH05 listing instead establishes the Ryzen 5 4600H, FHD display and 512GB NVMe SSD for its listed configuration, but it does not establish the same panel gamut or refresh rate.

- GLOW UP YOUR VISUALS – The FHD IPS display is perfect for gaming and watching your favorite streams. NVIDIA G-Sync technology eliminates screen tearing, stuttering, and input lag, ensuring silky-smooth frame rates.
For a sharper display, the Legion 5 15ACH6A’s documented WQHD 165Hz FreeSync configuration is the standout option here. That is a distinct display trade-off from the FHD panels: choose based on whether higher resolution or a less demanding display target matters more to you. No comparable controlled gaming benchmark across these five models is established here, so specifications alone do not justify an FPS, thermal or battery-life ranking.

Lenovo used multiple configurations within these model families. The clearest illustration is the Legion 5 15IMH05: Lenovo’s PSREF lists 60Hz, 120Hz and 144Hz display choices for the family. A product page that says only “Legion 5 15IMH05” does not tell you which panel is installed.
