The headline circulating for this list promises six series, but the two articles reviewed for it each name only five. Rather than invent a sixth, here are the five titles and the kind of crime story each offers. JioHotstar availability can vary by country and account, so check the service’s catalog before choosing a show.

Which series fits the kind of crime story you want?
Special Ops: a wide-ranging intelligence investigation
In this Hindi series, RAW officer Himmat Singh connects a series of terrorist attacks, including the 2001 Parliament attack, to a suspected mastermind. He assembles agents and follows leads across locations including the Middle East and Kashmir. Choose it if you want an espionage story built around a large investigation, field operations and multiple locations. Kay Kay Menon leads a cast that also includes Karan Tacker, Vinay Pathak, Saiyami Kher and Muzamil Ibrahim.
The Worst of Evil: undercover work with personal stakes
Set in 1990s Seoul, this Korean drama follows police officer Park Jun Mo as he infiltrates the Gangnam Union, a criminal organisation involved in a drug trade spanning South Korea, China and Japan. The assignment grows more complicated because Jun Mo’s wife has a connection to gang leader Jung Gi Cheol. The undercover premise and personal entanglement make this the pick for viewers looking for organised crime and sustained tension. The cast includes Ji Chang Wook, Wi Ha Joon, Im Se Mi and Bibi.

Aarya: a family crisis turns into a fight for control
After her husband is murdered, Aarya Sareen discovers her family’s involvement in the drug trade. She becomes caught between protecting her children and taking control of the business. The Hindi drama centres on a family’s exposure to criminal power and Aarya’s changing role within it. Sushmita Sen stars alongside Chandrachur Singh, Sikander Kher, Vikas Kumar and Namit Das.
A Shop for Killers: survival amid a concealed family secret
Jung Ji An investigates the death of her uncle and guardian, Jung Jin Man, and learns that he ran a dark-web marketplace supplying weapons and equipment to killers. When armed mercenaries come after her, she draws on unusual survival training he gave her. Its mix of action, a family mystery and a fight to stay alive distinguishes it from the investigation- and courtroom-led choices. The Korean-language series stars Lee Dong Wook, Kim Hye Jun, Seo Hyun Woo, Jo Han Sun and Park Ji Bin.

Criminal Justice: a case moves from suspicion toward court
This Hindi series follows ordinary people caught in criminal cases. The first-season story described in the source article centres on a cab driver who wakes after a night with a woman and discovers she has been murdered. He becomes a suspect, and lawyer Madhav Mishra represents him. Pick it if you prefer the mechanics and consequences of a case—investigation, legal conflict and prison drama—to undercover missions or action. The named cast includes Pankaj Tripathi, Vikrant Massey, Jackie Shroff, Kirti Kulhari and Anupriya Goenka.

The articles associate all five series with JioHotstar, but they do not establish current availability, country-specific rights, account-tier requirements or language and subtitle options. Search the live catalog in your own account and region; do not assume that a title listed in an article is available to every subscriber today. The two articles also disagree with their own headlines’ count: both bodies name these same five shows, not six.
