Five Sangean models have manufacturer-listed support for both AM and FM radio alongside Bluetooth: the PR-D4BT, CP-100, WR-50, WR-15BT and WR-22. The main choice is whether you need battery operation or a tabletop radio with additional controls and connections. These are verified specifications, not results from a new side-by-side sound or reception test.

Which one fits your listening setup?
For listening away from an outlet: PR-D4BT
The PR-D4BT is the only candidate here whose cited specifications clearly document battery operation. It takes four D batteries, so weigh that flexibility against its 1.01 kg listed weight and battery format. Its specified output also changes by power source: 0.8 W on external power and 0.7 W on batteries.

For a compact set with AUX: CP-100
The CP-100 combines AM/FM, Bluetooth 5.0 and an AUX input in an adapter-powered format. Its manufacturer lists separate output ratings—4 W for radio and 4.5 W for Bluetooth/AUX—so those figures should not be treated as a single universal rating.

For more tabletop controls and connections: WR-50
The WR-50 adds bass and treble controls, a subwoofer output, a remote, presets, AUX and RDS/RBDS to Bluetooth and AM/FM. Its 6 W figure is a manufacturer specification, not an independent sound-quality result. The manufacturer describes its reception positively, but that is not a substitute for a reception test in your location.
For antenna connections and traditional tuning: WR-15BT
The WR-15BT pairs a wooden cabinet and analog-style tuning controls with Bluetooth, AUX and a 3-inch speaker. Its specifications list optional external AM antenna support and an FM antenna jack, useful details if antenna setup matters where you plan to listen.

For USB playback: WR-22
The WR-22 is the option in this group that specifically lists USB playback. It also has Bluetooth, AM/FM-RDS, presets, a remote and AM and FM antenna connections. Its listed 7 W output does not establish that it will sound better or receive stations more reliably than the other models.
What to check before choosing an AM/FM Bluetooth speaker
Confirm both radio bands
Look for AM and FM listed separately on the exact product specification page. “Radio” or “FM” alone does not confirm AM support. For example, HARMAN’s JBL Tuner FM specification sheet lists Bluetooth playback and FM radio, but does not list AM; it is therefore a near-match, not an AM/FM pick for this comparison.

Decide whether battery operation is essential
The PR-D4BT’s documented battery option separates it from the four adapter- or AC-powered models in this list. If you mostly listen while cooking or cleaning at home, an outlet-oriented tabletop radio may suit the setup. If you want a radio for a weekend trip or somewhere without convenient power, check the battery type and weight rather than assuming a Bluetooth radio is designed like a lightweight, waterproof travel speaker.
Match inputs and controls to how you listen
- All five models list Bluetooth.
- The CP-100, WR-50, WR-15BT and WR-22 list an AUX input.
- The WR-22 also lists USB playback.
- The WR-50 lists bass and treble controls, a subwoofer output and a remote; the WR-22 lists a remote.
- Presets are listed for the PR-D4BT, WR-50 and WR-22.
Consider antennas and local reception
Antenna connections can affect setup options, but a specification sheet cannot tell you how clearly a station will come in at your home, workplace or campsite. The WR-15BT specifies optional external AM antenna support and an FM antenna jack; the WR-22 lists AM and FM antenna connections; the WR-50 describes an AM antenna. Reception depends on the station and listening location, so manufacturer feature descriptions should not be read as comparative reception results.

How to interpret the output figures
The wattage values above are manufacturer specifications, not independent sound-quality scores. They are also not strictly comparable: the PR-D4BT publishes different output for external and battery power, while the CP-100 gives distinct figures for radio and Bluetooth/AUX playback. No direct comparison here establishes which radio sounds clearest, gets loudest in real use or offers the best value.
