Three 2026 minivans are reported to outscore the 2026 Chrysler Pacifica in most of the major reviews that rate them: the Honda Odyssey, Kia Carnival, and Toyota Sienna. A fourth, the Kia Carnival Hybrid, appears in the same reporting, but its full set of scores is not published there. None of these vehicles beats the Pacifica in every source, and no single score ranks them all.
How the four alternatives were chosen
The comparison, published by SlashGear, draws on four sources: Consumer Reports, J.D. Power, Car and Driver, and U.S. News. It admitted a minivan if that minivan beat the 2026 Pacifica in at least two of the four. That is a looser test than beating the Pacifica everywhere. Each publisher uses its own scale, so an 8.5/10 from one outlet and an 81/100 from another cannot be averaged or compared directly.
The 2026 Pacifica was used as the baseline because 2027 reviews were not uniformly available when the comparison was prepared. If you are shopping a 2027 model, these results describe the 2026 generation and should be rechecked against current reviews.

Model by model
2026 Honda Odyssey
The Odyssey is the only one of the four that the reporting places ahead of the Pacifica in all four sources. Its J.D. Power lead is the widest in the group, at six points. U.S. News ranks it above the Pacifica, though the reporting does not give the U.S. News score.
2026 Kia Carnival
The Carnival leads the Pacifica in three of four sources: J.D. Power, Car and Driver, and Consumer Reports. U.S. News is the exception. The margins are small, at three points on J.D. Power and one point on Car and Driver.

2026 Toyota Sienna
The Sienna has the largest Car and Driver score in the set, 9.5/10 against 8.0/10 for the Pacifica. Its J.D. Power lead is only two points. Like the Carnival, it trails the Pacifica on U.S. News and leads in the other three sources.

The Carnival Hybrid is included because Consumer Reports gave it the highest overall score in its minivan shortlist. The reporting does not give its J.D. Power, Car and Driver, or U.S. News scores, so it cannot be placed in the two-of-four test with the same confidence as the other three. Edmunds rates it 7.8/10 in its 2026 minivan coverage. Edmunds says it weights fuel economy substantially, so that score reflects efficiency as well as general driving quality.

Where the sources disagree
U.S. News is the one publisher in the table that keeps the Pacifica ahead of two of the named competitors. The gaps are 0.1 point against the Carnival and 0.2 point against the Sienna, which is narrow enough that a different review cycle could reverse them.
Edmunds is a fifth reference point with its own weighting. Its 2026 coverage gives the Sienna and the Carnival Hybrid 7.8/10 each. The reporting does not include an Edmunds score for the Pacifica or the Odyssey, so Edmunds neither confirms nor rejects the two-of-four result.

Safety and drivetrain
- Safety: IIHS ratings cover crashworthiness and crash avoidance or mitigation. The available reporting does not establish a relative safety ranking among these four vehicles. Safety results are specific to model year, so check the 2026 IIHS result for the exact vehicle you plan to buy.
- All-wheel drive: Consumer Reports notes AWD availability for the 2026 Pacifica and Sienna. The reporting does not establish AWD availability for the Odyssey, Carnival, or Carnival Hybrid, so confirm it against manufacturer specifications.
What this comparison can and cannot tell you
- It shows that the Odyssey, Carnival, and Sienna each lead the 2026 Pacifica in most of the cited sources. It does not show that any one of them is the best minivan overall.
- It does not provide trim-level prices, complete feature lists, or seating and cargo measurements for each model.
- Its scores apply to the 2026 model year only.
- Its primary source is a secondary article, so the exact figures should be confirmed on each publisher’s own site.
Choosing by priority
- Consistent lead across the cited sources: the Honda Odyssey.
- Strongest enthusiast-style driving score in Car and Driver: the Toyota Sienna.
- Efficiency-weighted rating: the Toyota Sienna or Kia Carnival Hybrid, which Edmunds scores equally.
- Consumer Reports ranking over the Pacifica: any of the three, with the Carnival Hybrid rated highest in that publisher’s shortlist.
If the Pacifica’s U.S. News standing or its AWD availability matters to you, weigh those points against these results before you decide.
