Colorlib’s September 2026 roundup lists 36 free wizard and multi-step form templates for tasks such as sign-ups, bookings, applications, checkout, surveys, and reviews. Its update combines 30 rebuilt wizards with six newer snippets. They are front-end starting points—not ready-to-launch systems for receiving or processing submissions.
Here’s how to choose a suitable example, what the publisher says is included, and what you’ll need to add before using one in production.
What’s in the 36-template roundup?
The collection covers a range of common form flows, from short registrations to multi-stage transactions. Colorlib says 30 of its earlier wizards were rebuilt and six newer multi-step snippets were added in the September 2026 update. The count is the publisher’s roundup total, not a measure of how widely the templates are used.

Which template should you choose?
Start with the form’s purpose and the information it needs to collect. Colorlib points to these examples for specific jobs:

Does Bootstrap include a built-in wizard?
Colorlib’s roundup says Bootstrap does not provide a built-in wizard or stepper component. It describes common approaches as using a plugin or combining tabs, a progress bar, and JavaScript. The rebuilt Colorlib files, according to the publisher, instead use HTML, CSS, and a small amount of vanilla JavaScript without a wizard plugin, Bootstrap files, or jQuery. Colorlib says they can be used standalone or within Bootstrap 4, 5, or 6 layouts.
That dependency description applies to the rebuilt files as the publisher describes them; it should not be assumed to cover every older third-party wizard that appears in search results. For example, a separate archived GitHub project, gilluminate/Bootstrap-Wizard, says it requires Bootstrap 2.0+ and jQuery 1.4+ and is licensed GPLv3 or later. It is no longer maintained. Those details belong to that repository, not Colorlib’s downloads.
What files and styling are included?
Colorlib describes a download structure containing index.html, css/style.css, js/snippet.js, images, and self-hosted fonts, with no CDN calls. The publisher says some examples use native date pickers or select elements. Native controls can make sense for straightforward date and selection fields, but their appearance and interaction may vary by browser and device; inspect the particular template in the environments your users rely on.
If you add the snippet to a page that also loads Bootstrap, Colorlib advises loading the snippet stylesheet after Bootstrap. The publisher says its classes are namespaced to reduce style collisions. That is a compatibility aid, not a guarantee that existing site styles or scripts will never conflict, so test the combined page.
What must be added before launch?
The templates provide the browser-facing form flow, not a complete submission system. Colorlib says the examples do not send form data anywhere. To receive submissions, connect a backend or a form service, and define how the submitted data is validated, stored, and handled.

What does “free” mean here?
Colorlib states that its snippets are free for personal and commercial projects under CC BY 3.0 if the credit link is kept. Treat that as the publisher’s stated licensing condition, and inspect the files and terms accompanying the particular download before using or modifying it. Do not apply the license or dependency terms of a different wizard repository to Colorlib’s files, or vice versa.
