Looking for new movies on Paramount+ this week? The latest batch arrived October 1, not October 5–11. Three picks from that batch are When Harry Met Sally, Parasite, and Drag Me to Hell—available to watch this week if they appear in your local catalog and your plan includes them.
Did any new movies arrive on Paramount+ this week?
No new movie is listed for October 5–11 in Paramount+’s official October schedule. The schedule places its monthly movie additions on October 1; the dated arrivals from October 5 through October 10 are shows rather than films. TheWrap’s October 2026 roundup reports the same pattern.

Three October additions to choose from
| Movie | Best for | Mood |
|---|---|---|
| When Harry Met Sally (1989) | A warm, conversational romantic comedy | Comfort and relationship banter |
| Parasite (2019) | A tense, genre-blending social thriller | Satire, suspense, and unease |
| Drag Me to Hell (2009) | Supernatural horror with camp and gross-out energy | Scares mixed with slapstick |
When Harry Met Sally (1989): for romance and sharp conversation
Harry Burns and Sally Albright start as acquaintances, then develop a friendship through years of dating advice, relationships, and late-night calls. Their bond becomes more complicated when unexpected feelings enter the picture. Tom’s Guide recommends the film as a romantic comedy and praises the leads’ chemistry, Nora Ephron’s script, and Rob Reiner’s direction; that praise is the publication’s critical judgment, rather than an objective measure.

Parasite (2019): for suspense and social satire
In Tom’s Guide’s synopsis, the struggling Kim family enters the wealthy Park household under false pretenses and encounters secrets along the way. The film moves between black comedy, satire, crime caper, family drama, and frightening moments, making it a fit for viewers who want more than a straightforward thriller.
Drag Me to Hell (2009): for horror with a mischievous edge
Christine Brown, a bank loan officer, faces a curse after refusing an older woman’s request for a mortgage extension. Tom’s Guide describes the film as horror and mystery, with body horror, slapstick, and scares. Choose it for supernatural menace that also leans into camp and gross-out comedy.
