Three horror titles to look for on free, ad-supported Tubi in October 2026 are 28 Days Later, Midsommar and Late Night with the Devil. A September 28 report says the first two arrive October 1 and gives October 19 for Late Night with the Devil; it says other listed films arrive October 1 unless separately dated. The report is not an official Tubi schedule, so confirm each title in your local Tubi catalog before watching.

Movies reportedly arriving free on Tubi in October 2026

The September 28 report describes the following as October horror arrivals on Tubi, a free ad-supported streaming service. Its stated default is October 1 for titles without another date.

Movie Reported Tubi date What to know
28 Days Later October 1, 2026 The report includes it in Tubi’s horror list. Sony describes the film as a horror story about Jim waking from a coma in a deserted London amid a deadly outbreak.
Midsommar October 1, 2026 The report includes it in the horror arrivals. Hulu also lists the 2019 film for October 1, but that is a separate subscription option.
Late Night with the Devil October 19, 2026 The report gives this title its own date. A US availability listing checked October 2 also showed free streaming on Kanopy, subject to access eligibility.

The Tubi dates and titles above come from a secondary report, not an official Tubi October schedule confirming these additions. Catalogs can vary by country and change during the month, so search the title in Tubi where you live rather than assuming the reported date guarantees availability.

Where else these movies are listed—and whether it is free

28 Days Later

Sony’s official page labels the film “Now on Digital” and links to Apple TV, Prime Video, Fandango and YouTube. That indicates digital storefront availability, not free streaming; check each storefront for its current rental or purchase terms. The reported Tubi listing is the free option covered here.

Midsommar

Hulu’s official press schedule lists Midsommar (2019) as added October 1, 2026. Hulu is a subscription service, so this listing is distinct from the reported free, ad-supported Tubi availability.

Late Night with the Devil

For the United States, JustWatch’s listing checked October 2, 2026 showed paid streaming options on Hulu, Philo, AMC+ and Shudder, as well as digital rental or purchase. It also reported free streaming on Kanopy. Kanopy access may depend on a participating library or institution and on local catalog availability; it is not a universal no-eligibility option. Disney+ lists the film with subscription plan pricing, another paid route rather than a free stream.

How to check availability before you press play

  1. Open Tubi and search for the exact movie title. Check the listing in your own account and region; a reported arrival date does not guarantee that the title is available in every catalog.
  2. For Late Night with the Devil, check Kanopy’s catalog and your library or institution’s access rules if you want to use the free route.
  3. When a title appears on Hulu, Disney+, or a digital storefront, review the displayed plan, rental, or purchase terms. Those options should not be treated as free access.

Sources and availability scope

This is a US-oriented snapshot dated October 3, 2026. The Tubi title list and dates are attributed to the September 28 secondary report; availability may differ by territory and change after that report. Hulu, Sony, Disney+ and JustWatch listings support the separate service details above, but do not independently confirm the reported Tubi additions.
