The best Angular admin dashboard template is the one that matches your target Angular release and the UI library your team can maintain—not necessarily the one with the most demos or GitHub stars. For newer Angular projects, Colorlib’s October 2026 roundup describes options for Bootstrap, Angular Material, PrimeNG, and Tailwind, including free and paid choices. Treat its compatibility, maintenance, feature, and price details as a dated shortlist, then verify the current repository or vendor listing before adopting a template.

How to choose an Angular admin template

Start with two constraints: the Angular version your application will use, and the UI ecosystem your team intends to keep. A template that targets a different Angular generation may require migration work; one built around an unfamiliar component library can create ongoing styling and maintenance costs. Then compare the pages and components actually needed, license terms, update evidence, and whether the project supports your deployment requirements.

  • Angular compatibility: Check the template’s current peer dependencies and supported Angular release. A claim that a template is compatible is not a substitute for confirming its present package versions.
  • UI library: Match Bootstrap, Angular Material, PrimeNG, or Tailwind to existing team skills and project dependencies.
  • Scope: Determine whether you need only a dashboard shell or also tables, forms, authentication screens, calendars, and business-specific pages.
  • Maintenance: Check recent commits or releases and whether issues are being addressed. Popularity alone does not establish active maintenance.
  • License and support: Read the license for the exact edition you plan to use, including permitted projects, redistribution, updates, and support.

Colorlib says its October 2026 comparison considered Angular compatibility, UI library, component count, maintenance activity, GitHub stars, and usability. That is the publisher’s stated methodology, not an independent reproduction of tests. Its prices, feature descriptions, compatibility notes, and repository-star counts should be understood as figures reported in that roundup, not guaranteed current terms.

Best options by UI library and project fit

Bootstrap: free choices for newer Angular projects

CoreUI Angular is described by Colorlib as a free, MIT-licensed Bootstrap 5 template compatible with Angular 22. The roundup lists more than 30 components, chart integration, Smart Table, Full Calendar, and a dark-mode toggle; it also notes a premium tier with additional components and support. Its 1,829 GitHub stars are the figure reported in the 2026 comparison, not a live count.

ArchitectUI Angular Free is another Bootstrap 5 option that Colorlib describes as Angular 22-compatible. It is positioned for teams that want modular dashboard widgets, charts, and responsive layouts. The roundup says a Pro offering begins at $69, but current pricing and license scope should be checked with the vendor.

These two are reasonable starting points when Bootstrap is already part of the project. Compare their current Angular dependencies, required components, license terms, and update activity rather than choosing on the basis of a single feature count.

Angular Material: ng-matero or Material Pro Angular Lite

ng-matero is a free Angular Material template described as Angular 21-based. Colorlib lists dark mode, RTL and localization support, permissions, tables, form builders, charts, Material extensions, schematics, and multiple layouts. The roundup reports 1,474 GitHub stars. It is the more natural fit when the application already uses Angular Material and its conventions.

Material Pro Angular Lite is a free lite edition from WrapPixel with a paid upgrade. Colorlib describes the template as targeting Angular 21 and including ApexCharts, a sidebar, and profile and login pages; it says older-version builds are kept in separate folders. The roundup reports a $59 premium edition with more than 80 pages and six demo variations. Confirm the available builds and current license terms before selecting it.

PrimeNG: Sakai-NG

Sakai-NG is the ecosystem-specific choice in this list: Colorlib describes it as an official free template from the PrimeNG team, built for Angular 21 with PrimeNG and Tailwind CSS v4. It includes Aura, Lara, and Nora presets, light and dark modes, and sample application pages. The roundup reports 952 GitHub stars. Choose it when PrimeNG is already in use or is a deliberate component-library decision; do not treat its Tailwind styling support as a reason to ignore its PrimeNG dependency.

Tailwind: more styling control or a ready-made application kit

Angular-Tailwind is described as a free, MIT-licensed Angular 22 and Tailwind CSS v4 project. Colorlib highlights signals, standalone components, dark mode, and Playwright end-to-end tests, and reports 520 GitHub stars. It suits a Tailwind-first team looking for modern Angular patterns and room to shape the visual system.

TailAdmin Angular is described as a free and Pro Tailwind CSS v4 template compatible with Angular 22. Colorlib says the free edition includes an e-commerce dashboard and more than 100 UI elements, while Pro adds seven dashboards for several business areas. The roundup also notes dark mode and versions for multiple frameworks. Those counts and edition details are the publisher’s account; inspect the actual edition and current terms before relying on them.

Apex Dashboard Angular and AdminDek Angular from DashboardPack are paid Tailwind CSS v4 options described as using Spartan UI and supporting Angular 22. Colorlib says Apex includes nine dashboards, around 70 buyer-facing pages, standalone components, zoneless change detection, SSR/PWA support, and an optional Chart.js integration. It reports Personal licensing from $69 and a Lifetime Developer option at $349. AdminDek is described with nine dashboards and an application kit containing chat, email, calendar, file manager, task board, notifications, and authentication screens; the roundup reports license tiers from $69 to $349. Because they are paid products, compare the specific license scope, update entitlement, and support terms directly with DashboardPack.

Other free or freemium templates in the roundup

The options below may be useful when their design or feature set fits an existing application, but Colorlib’s version and maintenance descriptions make careful compatibility checks especially important.

Templates with older Angular targets or reported stale updates

  • ngx-admin (Akveo): A free Nebular-based template. Colorlib lists more than 40 reusable components, over 60 examples, Corporate and Material themes, dark mode, and e-commerce and IoT layouts. It reports that the project targets Angular 15 and had no commits since September 2024 as of its October 2026 roundup. The comparison table gives it 25,681 GitHub stars. Its reported popularity does not resolve upgrade or maintenance concerns.
  • Material Dashboard Angular (Creative Tim): A free Material-oriented option described as targeting Angular 14 and not updated since 2024. The roundup lists Chartist charts and basic dashboard, profile, table, and form pages, and positions it for prototypes and learning projects. A Pro offering is also noted.
  • Light Bootstrap Dashboard Angular (Creative Tim): A free Bootstrap 3 template described as Angular 14 and not updated since 2024. It includes sidebar navigation, cards, tables, charts, and alerts. Its older Angular and Bootstrap targets make it a legacy-oriented choice rather than an automatic fit for a current application.
  • Notus Angular (Creative Tim): A free Angular 11 and Tailwind CSS 2 template with dashboard, landing, profile, and login screens. Colorlib says it lacks advanced dark-mode and data-table features and reports no update since 2024.
  • Argon Dashboard Angular (Creative Tim): A free Angular 14 and Bootstrap 4 template described with more than 100 components, gradient styling, and overview, profile, table, login, and registration pages. Colorlib positions it as a quick prototype option or for gradient-heavy branding.
  • Paper Dashboard Angular (Creative Tim): A free Angular 14 Bootstrap option with a paper-inspired visual style, charts, cards, tables, and responsive layout. The roundup reports that it had not been updated since 2024.
  • Black Dashboard Angular (Creative Tim): A free dark-first Angular 12 and Bootstrap 4 template with gradient charts and five color filters. Colorlib reports no update since 2024.
  • Now UI Dashboard Angular (Creative Tim): A free Bootstrap-based Angular 13 template. The roundup highlights typography, animations, responsive navigation, cards, charts, and tables, while noting it has relatively few pages and had not been updated since 2024.

Bootstrap 5 options described for Angular 22

  • Mantis Angular (CodedThemes): A free and premium Bootstrap 5 template described as Angular 22-compatible, with ApexCharts, nine demo configurations, SCSS theming, and lazy loading. Colorlib presents it as a minimal option for data-dense internal tools.
  • Datta Able Angular (CodedThemes): A free and premium Angular 22 and Bootstrap 5 template with chart integration, interactive tables, forms, and responsive navigation. The roundup says the premium tier adds advanced components, pages, and chart types.
  • Berry Angular (CodedThemes): A free and premium Angular 22 and Bootstrap 5 template described with ApexCharts, RxJS, nine demo configurations, and a warm palette. Colorlib says the paid version adds pages and advanced forms and charts.

Premium breadth: Metronic

Metronic from Keen Themes is a premium multi-framework admin suite with an Angular version. Colorlib reports a regular license from $49, more than 150 pages, more than 60 components, Tailwind and Bootstrap 5 styling, dark mode, and vendor support. It also reports Keen Themes’ claim that more than 120,000 developers and founders use the product. These are publisher-reported figures and a vendor usage claim; verify current pricing, supported frameworks, license scope, and support terms with Keen Themes.

Are these Angular templates production-ready?

A template can provide a useful UI starting point, but “production-ready” depends on the application and the exact release you install. The roundup’s feature descriptions do not by themselves establish security, accessibility, performance, test coverage, upgrade safety, or suitability for a particular deployment. Before adopting one, review the repository or vendor package and test it in your own environment.

  • Install the current release in a clean branch and confirm it builds against your intended Angular version.
  • Review package dependencies, license, release history, open issues, and migration guidance.
  • Exercise the components your application will rely on, including responsive layouts, forms, tables, navigation, and authentication flows where included.
  • Check the project’s accessibility and security requirements independently; a polished demo is not proof of either.
  • Confirm that the vendor’s support and update commitments match the product edition you intend to buy.
