Reader feedback has already changed the 2026 Wild Card challenge standings: after Destination 1 was rescored, Tim moved into first place. The Destination 2 update reports Greg at 106 points, but its text and image label conflict over which contestant earned the other reported totals of 123 for the stage and 230 overall. Readers were asked to comment on the fairness of Destination 2 scoring and the contestants’ final Melbourne itineraries.
How audience feedback changed the first-destination scores
After the first destination livestream, judges Stephen Pepper and Carrie reconsidered Destination 1 scores in light of reader comments. The revised totals put Tim first, Nick second, and Greg third.
| Contestant | Original Destination 1 score | Revised Destination 1 score | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Greg | 104 | 102 | −2 |
| Nick | 102 | 105 | +3 |
| Tim | 101 | 107 | +6 |
Greg lost points for flight luxury and wallet-friendliness. Nick’s five-point rideshare penalty was reduced to two points after discussion of the obstacle’s wording and spirit. Tim’s score rose after several scoring elements were increased. These are event figures reported by Frequent Miler in its October 1, 2026 update.

What the Destination 2 update reports—and what remains unclear
The update gives Greg 106 points for Destination 2 and 208 points overall. It also reports 123 points for Destination 2 and 230 overall in the section under Nick’s heading, but the associated scorecard image description labels the 230-point total as Tim’s. Because the text and image conflict, the 123 and 230 totals should not be attributed to either Nick or Tim without confirmation from the complete scorecard or livestream.

Greg’s published Destination 2 breakdown shows how the flight, accommodation, and activity categories were assessed. It is a partial view of the visible scoring axes, not a complete statement of every rule used across the challenge.
| Category | Wallet-friendliness | Ingenuity | Luxury | Duplicability |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Flight | 8 | 8 | 8 | 10 |
| Accommodation | 5 | 6 | 7 | 10 |
| Activity | 10 | 9 | 5 | 10 |
Greg also received 10 points for the mini challenge. Frequent Miler does not describe this breakdown as an exhaustive challenge-wide rubric.

What readers were asked to judge for Melbourne
By this update, Greg, Nick, and Tim had reached Melbourne, Australia, their third and final destination. Their card choices shaped destinations, airline and hotel choices, and points-and-miles budgets; power-ups and obstacles added further constraints. The organizers invited readers to say whether Destination 2 scores were fair or any contestant deserved more or fewer points, and to weigh in on Destination 3 flights, accommodation, and activities. Reader views might influence the final scoring.
Final livestream timing was tentative
In the October 1 update, organizers tentatively planned a fourth livestream for 9 p.m. ET on Sunday, October 4, 2026. Its agenda was to rescore Destination 2 if needed, award Destination 3 points, and crown the winner. The time was not yet definite in that update, which said a later notice would provide confirmation. Check Frequent Miler’s current announcement before relying on that schedule.
