For a quick browser distraction, these 20 weird websites offer very different kinds of fun: cursor-controlled creatures, endless scrolling, sound games, animated art and random redirects. This is a discovery guide, not a definitive ranking. The sites below are drawn from online roundups, and their current availability and behavior have not been independently confirmed.
Choose a kind of weird
Some pages are tiny jokes; others ask you to move a pointer, scroll, listen or watch an animation unfold. The list is grouped by what you do, so you can pick an experience that fits your mood. The descriptions reflect how the sites are presented in the linked roundups, not a guarantee that every feature works on every device or browser.

Cursor-controlled oddities
That’s The Finger
The displayed finger and background change with pointer position, turning a simple page into a small reaction to your cursor. It is best understood as a quick visual joke rather than a game.
Windows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallCrashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?
Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteRGB
Hover over the oversized RGB letters to change the letter and background; the page is also described as speaking the color aloud. Keep sound in mind before opening it somewhere quiet.
#1 Best Overall
Staggering Beauty
Move the cursor to control a wiggling creature. Shaking it triggers highly flashy imagery, so skip this one if flashing visuals may bother you or someone nearby.
Chris McKenzie
A pixelated pink cube changes expression and follows the cursor. The appeal is the little visual response, not a score or objective.
Pointer Pointer
Move your pointer and the page finds a photograph of someone pointing toward its location. It is a one-joke discovery: the cursor determines which direction the person in the image appears to indicate.
Every Day I’m
Hover over “Hustlin’” for changing colors and a Rick Ross lyric or rhyme. This one combines a visual gag with audio, so use headphones or keep the volume down if needed.
Scroll, watch and get lost in an animation
Endless Horse
Scroll down and the horse’s legs continue with the page. The minimalist setup is the joke; there is no stated finish line.
Rank #2
Long Doge Challenge
Follow an endlessly scrolling Doge image accompanied by “WOW” text. The roundup describes print and length/WOW-count features, but those details may vary if the site has changed.
Zoomquilt
Watch a continuous zoom through fantastical scenes. The listing describes controls for speed and direction, plus sidebar options related to screensavers or wallpapers.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Electric Boogie Woogie
This animated online interpretation takes inspiration from Piet Mondrian’s painting Broadway Boogie Woogie. It is an art experience to watch rather than a conventional game.
Move Now, Think Later
The page presents a checker game for you to watch, not play; clicking is described as enabling sound. Its traffic claim in one roundup is not supported with a dated direct measurement, so it is not a useful way to judge the site.
Click, play or let the page choose
Cat Bounce
Kittens fall and bounce around the page. You can grab and move them, and a button is described as making more cats rain down. A roundup mentions a fundraising purpose but does not identify an organization or amount.
Rank #3
- Used Book in Good Condition
Falling Falling
Colored shapes fall and change as you watch; clicking produces sound. It is a simple sensory experiment, so consider your volume before interacting.
Recommended Free Tools
Paper Toilet
Unroll a finite virtual toilet-paper roll. The listing warns that refreshing the page or clearing the cache removes progress, so do not expect a saved record.
The Useless Web
Press the “Please” button to be redirected to an unpredictable website. The roundup describes the result opening in a new tab and destinations not repeating, but availability and behavior can change.
Make Everything OK
One button starts a progress bar that eventually reports that everything is OK. There is no deeper task to complete; the anticlimax is the point.
Find The Invisible Cow
Use the audio hot-and-cold clues to locate an unseen cow: its sound grows louder as your cursor gets closer. An expert mode is also described. Sound is essential, so this is less suitable in a quiet setting or with audio muted.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesVisual gags and deliberately empty promises
Corn Dog
Flying corn dogs form a deliberately odd visual backdrop. This is one for a moment of absurdity, not a tool or a challenge.
Zombo.com
A looping welcome message delivers an intentionally empty promise of unlimited possibility. The page’s strange earnestness is the entire experience.
Weird Or Confusing
This site is described as recommending unusual products, with affiliate links and Amazon buttons. Treat it as a shopping-oriented oddity rather than a neutral collection of browser games; the roundup does not establish that any specific product is a good fit.
Why these pages are interesting to web designers
Unusual websites can be useful design inspiration because they make one interaction immediately legible: hover to change a color, scroll to reveal more, click to start a joke, or move a cursor to locate a sound. That clarity is a design choice, even when the page has no practical purpose. The examples here also show the trade-offs: audio can make an interaction understandable, but it can surprise visitors; flashing imagery can be memorable, but it needs a clear warning; and an endless page can be amusing precisely because it refuses to give the visitor a normal endpoint.

Sources and availability
The core selection and descriptions are from Colorlib’s “20 Best Weirdest Websites In 2026”, dated August 14, 2026. A separate list from Elementor, published July 15, 2025, and a list from DiviFlash, updated January 28, 2026, provide additional examples and context; overlapping entries do not independently confirm that a destination still works. For more browsing, Cloudhiker describes itself as a human-curated directory of unusual sites across areas such as science, gaming, nature and arts. Since web destinations can change or disappear, check a site’s current behavior before relying on a particular feature.
