For yard cleanup and airflow
The blower is the outdoor-debris option; the fan is intended to move air around a work area. Compare the task and airflow needs rather than treating these as interchangeable tools.
For renovation and material removal
The multi-tool, reciprocating saw, grinder, circular saw, and planer serve distinct cutting or removal jobs. Select based on the material and cut or finish required, then check the specific model’s capacity, accessories, size, and handling needs.

For finishing, fastening, and everyday support
The compact router and random-orbit sander address woodworking edges and surfaces. The impact driver is for driving fasteners; the impact wrench is for larger nuts and bolts. The inflator and flashlight support tire or inflatable work and portable lighting.

Makita describes LXT as an 18V slide-style battery platform with more than 350 solutions in 2026. That platform context does not mean every listing includes a battery or charger. Confirm the model suffix and package contents: Makita’s official XDT13T and XT299T pages illustrate kits with batteries and a charger, while its XOC02Z page is an example of a tool-only configuration.
