September 2026 brought a varied set of smart-home launches, from cameras and a video doorbell to lighting, a thermostat, a presence sensor and a retrofit lock. T3’s September 30 roundup selected ten products; it is a curated list, not a complete register of everything released that month. Availability and specifications vary by product and market, so the details below distinguish T3-reported claims from information in manufacturer announcements.

What launched in September 2026?

The ten products below cover different jobs. The first three focus on home security; the next three are lighting products; the remaining devices address heating, presence sensing, lighting control and door access. The list reflects T3’s selection, and most specifications are reported by T3 rather than independently confirmed in the sources cited here.

Product Category What it offers
Eufy SoloCam E50 Security camera T3 reports two 4K lenses on a motorized pan-and-tilt head, including a 135-degree-view lens and a telephoto lens, plus an integrated solar panel. These are T3-reported specifications, not corroborated here by an Eufy announcement. T3’s September roundup
Shelly Camera Indoor security camera T3 describes a wired 1080p camera with black-and-white night vision, 110-degree horizontal and 70-degree vertical coverage, motion detection and automation triggers for other devices. These details are reported by T3. T3’s September roundup

Philips Screen Sync with Strip Light TV lighting kit T3 describes a camera-based Philips Smart Lighting kit with a fisheye camera and four-sided RGBIC strip, in sizes for 40–50-inch and 55–65-inch TVs. This is not the separate Philips Hue Play Screen Sync product. T3’s September roundup

Confirm fit with your particular heating system and installation needs. T3’s September roundup
Aqara Spatial Sensor FP400 Presence and spatial sensing T3 reports 60GHz mmWave radar and AI features that can track up to ten people and trigger lighting responses to movement. Aqara’s September 2026 notice says the FP400 feature set changed since its CES announcement; consult current product specifications rather than assuming the earlier list is current. T3’s September roundup; Aqara’s CES announcement and update
IKEA Dubbelkisel Driver Lighting driver T3 says it makes IKEA integrated lighting controllable through the IKEA Home smart app, supports Matter and works with Dirigera Hub and Bilresa remote. T3 reports availability in select European countries, not worldwide. T3’s September roundup

What did Philips Hue announce at IFA 2026?

Signify’s September 3 announcement covered Hue products and software, including a distinct screen-sync system, the Liane rope light and several other lighting formats. Its camera-based Hue Play Screen Sync captures the TV display and can synchronize compatible lights with native smart-TV apps, broadcast television and HDMI sources. A 4K HDMI sync box is the option for HDMI-based setups. Signify says a gradient strip can sync over Bluetooth without a Hue Bridge; adding a Bridge or Bridge Pro can expand the arrangement to as many as ten lights.

That system should not be confused with the Philips Screen Sync with Strip Light in T3’s roundup: the latter is identified as Philips Smart Lighting, not Philips Hue. For Hue, Signify listed Play Screen Sync from £109.99/€119.99 and its 4K HDMI sync box from £134.99/€149.99, both available from September 3, 2026. Play gradient strips were listed from £89.88/€99.99 from September 15. These are Signify’s stated starting prices and launch timing; availability varies by market. Signify’s announcement

How to choose among these launches

  • Start with the job. A camera, doorbell, thermostat and presence sensor solve different problems; choose by the task you need the device to perform rather than by novelty.
  • Check ecosystem and protocol fit. Aqara’s new lighting lineup is announced with Thread, Zigbee and Matter support. For other devices, verify the exact model’s support for your hub, app and voice platform rather than assuming products share compatibility.
  • Match installation to the home. Tado says its second-generation Thermostat X suits several heating types, but the relevant check is compatibility with your exact system and installation. SwitchBot’s combo is described as intended for European retrofit locks, and IKEA reports the Dubbelkisel Driver in select European markets.
  • Compare the actual screen-sync setup. Hue’s camera-based Play Screen Sync can work with TV apps and broadcast television; Signify positions the 4K sync box for HDMI sources. The Philips Smart Lighting Screen Sync kit is a separate product.
  • Include recurring service needs. SimpliSafe’s live-agent response feature requires Pro or Pro Plus, according to T3; account for that subscription if the feature is central to your decision.
  • Confirm local availability and current details. A roundup’s launch framing does not establish that each device is in stock in every country. Check manufacturer or retailer listings for current stock, regional specifications and prices before buying.
