HubSpot is the best free landing-page builder for lead capture and CRM; Kit is the strongest choice for creators and newsletters; Mailchimp is best for an email campaign; Systeme.io is best for a free funnel; and Carrd is best for a fast, simple one-page site. Wix, Framer, Webflow, Canva, and MailerLite are also useful, but each solves a different problem.
This list was checked against vendor documentation on August 9, 2026. Every recommendation below has an ongoing $0 tier that can publish a live page without requiring the reader to buy hosting. That does not mean unlimited leads, a custom domain, ad-free pages, advanced analytics, or unlimited email. Those limits are the difference between a genuinely usable free plan and a misleading free trial.
What counts as a really free landing-page builder?
For this guide, a tool qualifies as genuinely free when it offers an ongoing $0 plan rather than a seven-, 14-, or 30-day trial, lets you publish a live page, provides a usable editor at no cost, and gives you a provider-hosted URL. Where a vendor explicitly documents it, the free plan also does not require a credit card. The free tier must not require payment merely to publish the first page.
A free plan does not have to include a custom domain, removal of vendor branding, unlimited traffic, advanced analytics, A/B testing, unlimited contacts, payment processing, or a complete CRM. Those are separate comparison points. A URL such as example.carrd.co, example.wixsite.com, example.webflow.io, example.kit.com, or example.my.canva.site is free provider hosting. It is not the same as owning and connecting example.com.

1. HubSpot: best free landing-page builder for lead capture
Choose HubSpot when the page is meant to create sales leads rather than merely display information. Its free tools connect landing-page forms to contact records in the HubSpot CRM, so a submission has somewhere to go and can be used for follow-up.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsWhat is free
- Up to 30 total landing pages.
- HubSpot-branded hosting and a HubSpot-provided domain.
- Forms connected to the free CRM.
- Up to 1,000 contacts on the free account.
The useful distinction is that HubSpot provides the lead destination as well as the page. You can build a waitlist, quote-request page, downloadable-guide form, webinar registration page, or sales inquiry page without stitching together a separate spreadsheet and form service.
What is not free
HubSpot branding remains on the free experience, and removing it requires a paid Content Hub subscription. The general HubSpot marketing pages describe capabilities such as personalization, testing, and advanced optimization, but those descriptions should not be read as a promise that every feature is included in the free tier. The free account also stops being free in practice as a complete workflow if you exceed the 1,000-contact limit.
See the official CRM pricing page, page creation documentation, and landing-page product overview.
Verdict: HubSpot is the best first choice when every form submission should become an organized CRM lead. Avoid it if the page must look completely unbranded or if visual design freedom matters more than lead management.
2. Mailchimp: best for an email-list landing page
Mailchimp is a strong fit for a newsletter signup, lead magnet, event list, or product-interest page when email follow-up is the main objective. Mailchimp says landing pages are available to all users and can be created without a stated page-count limit.
What is free
- Unlimited landing pages.
- A Mailchimp-hosted URL.
- Signup forms associated with an audience.
- Audience tags, basic tracking, and landing-page reports.
- 250 contacts on the current free marketing plan.
- 500 monthly email sends, with a 250-send daily limit.
The unlimited-page allowance is useful if you need separate versions for different lead magnets, social campaigns, events, or audience segments. It does not mean unlimited email marketing. A single active newsletter can reach the 500-send monthly limit quickly.
Important publishing limitation
When creating a Mailchimp landing page, you select the audience before publishing. According to Mailchimp’s documentation, the published page cannot later be associated with a different audience. Choose the correct audience and tags before you share the URL.
Connecting a custom domain requires a paid Websites plan. The free plan therefore works best for testing, social traffic, a small list, or a campaign where a Mailchimp URL is acceptable.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Follow Mailchimp’s documented landing-page workflow and check the landing-page feature overview and current marketing-plan limits.
Verdict: Pick Mailchimp if you want many free page variants tied to a small email audience. Pick Kit instead if you are a creator who expects the list to grow beyond 250 contacts or needs unlimited sending.
3. Kit: best for creators, newsletters, and opt-in pages
Kit is built around the creator-audience relationship. It is particularly well suited to a newsletter, podcast, course, personal brand, waitlist, or lead magnet rather than a conventional company website.
What is free
- Up to 10,000 active subscribers on the current free Newsletter plan.
- Unlimited landing pages and forms.
- Unlimited email sends.
- Digital products and subscriptions.
- One basic visual automation with one email sequence.
That subscriber and sending allowance is unusually generous for a free creator-focused platform. You can put a signup form on a landing page, deliver a welcome sequence, and grow the list without immediately paying based on ordinary newsletter volume.
Trade-offs
The free plan includes a Kit-managed recommendation slot and a Built with Kit badge. The badge cannot be removed on the free plan; see Kit’s badge documentation. The automation allowance is also narrow: unlimited landing pages do not mean unlimited automations, sequences, or business workflows.
Kit’s documentation describes custom-domain setup for landing pages, but public pricing displays have shown inconsistent figures and plan details over time. Check the current entitlement inside your Kit account before promising a custom-domain campaign. The relevant documentation is Kit’s free Newsletter plan and custom-domain setup guide.
Verdict: Kit is the best free option here for creator-led list growth. It is less appropriate when you need a corporate marketing site, a traditional CRM, or extensive multi-step automation.
4. Systeme.io: best free all-in-one funnel
Systeme.io is for readers who need more than a standalone page. Its free plan is designed around funnels, email, contacts, automation, and digital-product workflows, making it a practical choice for a product launch, course, lead magnet, or simple sales sequence.
What is free
- Up to 2,000 contacts.
- Three sales funnels.
- Unlimited email sends.
- One automation rule.
- One custom-domain connection.
- A $0 plan with no credit-card requirement, according to the vendor’s plan information.
The vendor also lists limits for funnel steps, tags, campaigns, and related features. Consequently, the phrase all-in-one does not mean unlimited access to every workflow. A single funnel with a landing page, email follow-up, and digital-product path can fit the free plan; a large operation with many campaigns may not.
One custom-domain connection is a notable inclusion, but it should not be confused with a free registered domain. You may still need to own or purchase the domain itself.
Review the official Systeme.io pricing page and feature overview before building a funnel around a quota-sensitive feature.
Verdict: Choose Systeme.io when the landing page is the first step in an email, checkout, course, or digital-product funnel. Choose Carrd or Framer if you only need a polished page and an external CTA.
5. Carrd: best for a fast, simple one-page site
Carrd is one of the quickest ways to publish a coming-soon page, personal profile, portfolio, freelancer service page, simple product page, or link page. Its narrow focus is a strength: there is less infrastructure to configure and fewer distractions while building.
What is free
- Three free site slots.
- Core page blocks and templates.
- Publishing on a Carrd-hosted
.carrd.coURL.
The free plan is ideal when the call to action is a link to an existing booking service, checkout page, email address, social profile, or external form.
The crucial limitation
Carrd’s official Pro feature documentation places forms, analytics, custom code, embeds, custom domains, and branding removal among paid capabilities. That makes Carrd a page publisher, not the strongest free lead-capture system. If a visitor must submit information directly on the page and the submission must be stored automatically, start with HubSpot, Mailchimp, Kit, MailerLite, or Systeme.io instead.
Custom domains require Carrd Pro Standard or higher. The free site-slot rules are documented at Carrd’s site-slot guide, while the feature comparison is at Carrd’s Pro documentation.

6. Wix: best for broad visual customization
Wix is a more general-purpose website builder than Carrd. Its free editor and template ecosystem make sense when today’s landing page may become tomorrow’s small-business website with additional pages, galleries, service sections, or content.
What is free
- Drag-and-drop website building.
- Unlimited pages.
- Free Wix hosting and a Wix-provided URL.
- 500 MB of storage.
- 1 GB of bandwidth.
Wix is a reasonable choice for a freelancer service page, local event page, portfolio, or informational campaign where the page needs more layout variety than a one-page specialist provides.
Rank #3
What makes the free plan less professional
Free sites use a Wix subdomain and display Wix advertising. A custom domain requires upgrading the site. The free tier also does not include Google Analytics, and online payments are not included on the free plan. Do not assume that Wix’s broad product catalog means all marketing, business, or commerce features are free.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
See Wix’s official explanation of free and upgraded site limitations and its overview of what is included in a free Wix site.
Verdict: Wix offers the broadest beginner-friendly design surface in this group, but its ads, subdomain, storage, bandwidth, and tracking restrictions make it a weak choice for a polished paid-ad campaign.
7. Framer: best for polished design-led product pages
Framer is a good free design sandbox for a SaaS launch, app waitlist, product announcement, portfolio, or other page where modern visual presentation is central. It is more design-led than CRM-led.
What is free
- Page design and publishing on a Framer domain.
- A workflow intended for hobby projects and personal work.
The free plan lets you make a page live without buying hosting. The trade-off is visible provider branding: the free experience displays a Made in Framer banner. A third-party custom domain requires an upgrade.
Recommended Free Tools
Read Framer’s plan use-case guide, publishing documentation, and custom-domain guide. Check the current plan before relying on a specific analytics, form, embed, or traffic feature; the free entitlement is primarily about publishing and design.
Verdict: Framer is a compelling free choice when visual polish matters more than native lead storage. For a newsletter or CRM workflow, use an email or CRM platform instead.
8. Webflow: best for advanced visual control
Webflow is the most suitable option here for readers who want precise layout control, responsive behavior, CMS structure, and a professional upgrade path. It is not the easiest beginner builder, and its free limits are unusually restrictive for a growing site.
What is free
- A Webflow subdomain.
- Two static pages on the free Starter Site plan.
- 50 CMS items.
- Up to 1,000 monthly visits.
- A free Starter Workspace that can create two free Starter sites.
The two-page limit can cover a home/landing page and a thank-you page, but it is not enough for a substantial free website. A custom domain and additional pages require a paid Site plan.
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
Consult Webflow’s Site-plan limits, Webflow pricing, and the Workspace and Site-plan overview. Do not confuse a larger paid-plan feature set with the free Starter entitlement.
Verdict: Webflow is the best free professional design sandbox, not the best free beginner builder or native lead-capture platform.
9. Canva Websites: best for visual assets and fast publishing
Canva Websites makes sense when the page is mostly visual: an event announcement, portfolio, restaurant menu, campaign graphic, link-in-bio page, or product presentation. It is especially convenient if the copy, images, logos, and social graphics already live in Canva.
What is free
- Up to five live Canva Sites.
- Publishing on a
my.canva.siteURL. - Canva’s templates, images, graphics, and visual editing workflow.
Free sites include a Designed with Canva or similar badge. Canva’s built-in Website Insights are a Pro feature, and connecting an existing domain is available on paid plans. The product is primarily a visual publishing tool, so it is not interchangeable with an email platform that automatically stores subscribers and sends a welcome sequence.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →See the Canva terms of use, website-builder documentation, and link-in-bio feature page.
Verdict: Canva is the fastest option for a graphic-heavy page or link hub. Use a dedicated marketing platform when the conversion depends on forms, consent records, email delivery, or CRM follow-up.
10. MailerLite: best for one small list-building campaign
MailerLite can combine a landing page, signup forms, an email list, reports, and basic automation in one small operation. It is a sensible option for a single newsletter signup or lead-magnet campaign, but older comparison articles often overstate what its free plan now includes.
Rank #4
What is free
- One active landing page.
- One website.
- Up to 250 active subscribers.
- 2,500 monthly emails.
- Three automations.
- Three signup forms.
MailerLite announced these limits in a June 16, 2026 free-plan update and stated that feature-use limits were scheduled to be enforced on August 13, 2026. Since this article was verified on August 9, that enforcement date is only four days away. Check the latest update FAQ and current pricing page before publishing a campaign that depends on a specific quota.
The Tool Desk
Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Outbyte Driver Updater FREEFix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →The one-page limit is the key distinction. MailerLite can be a compact page-plus-email workflow, but it is not a good choice if you need separate landing pages for many products, audiences, or campaigns.
Verdict: Choose MailerLite for one small list-building project. Choose Kit for a larger creator list, or Mailchimp if unlimited landing-page variants matter more than subscriber capacity.
Which builder should you choose?
Start with the page’s job, not the editor’s template gallery.
- Need a CRM record for every lead? Choose HubSpot.
- Need to grow a creator newsletter or audience? Choose Kit.
- Need an email audience with many landing-page variants? Choose Mailchimp.
- Need a page, email sequence, funnel, or digital-product flow? Choose Systeme.io.
- Need a simple one-page site as quickly as possible? Choose Carrd.
- Need broad drag-and-drop website flexibility? Choose Wix.
- Need a polished SaaS or product launch page? Choose Framer.
- Need advanced responsive layout and CMS control? Choose Webflow.
- Need to turn existing Canva graphics into a live page? Choose Canva Websites.
- Need one small landing page plus email automation? Choose MailerLite.
The form question is the most important one
If the page only needs to present information and send people to another service, a visual builder is enough. Carrd, Canva, Framer, Wix, and Webflow can all serve that type of page, with different limits and branding.
Windows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread

One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchIf visitors must submit their details, ask where those submissions will go:
- Form plus CRM: HubSpot.
- Form plus email audience: Mailchimp, Kit, or MailerLite.
- Form plus email, funnel, and transaction flow: Systeme.io.
A beautiful page with no reliable submission destination is not a complete lead-generation system. This is why Carrd may be the best page builder for a simple profile but the wrong recommendation for a lead magnet that needs automatic delivery.
What free plans usually leave out
Custom domains
There are two separate costs: registering a domain such as yourbrand.com and paying for the builder plan that connects it. A provider subdomain is usually fine for internal testing, student work, short-lived event pages, social-media traffic, or early product validation. It is usually a poor fit for an established business, investor-facing page, large paid-ad campaign, or long-term SEO asset where trust and brand recognition matter.
Systeme.io lists one custom-domain connection on its free plan. Most of the visual builders above require an upgrade for custom-domain publishing. Kit documents custom-domain setup, but confirm whether the current free account includes it. Never assume that a free URL includes a free custom domain.
Branding and advertising
HubSpot, Kit, Framer, Canva, and Wix visibly identify the provider in their free experiences, while Carrd lists branding removal as a Pro feature. These labels may be acceptable during validation but can make a paid campaign or established company page look unfinished.
Contacts, sending, and traffic
Unlimited landing pages do not mean unlimited contacts or email sends. Mailchimp allows unlimited landing pages but limits its free plan to 250 contacts and 500 monthly sends. Wix allows unlimited pages but limits storage to 500 MB and bandwidth to 1 GB. Webflow allows only two static pages and 1,000 monthly visits. Kit allows unlimited pages and sends but still limits automation structure and caps active subscribers at 10,000.
Analytics and optimization
Advanced analytics, tracking pixels, A/B testing, and conversion optimization are often upgrade triggers. Canva’s built-in Website Insights are a Pro feature. Wix does not include free Google Analytics. Carrd lists analytics among its Pro features. For paid advertising, confirm that the plan supports the tracking method, consent handling, and reporting you actually need before sending traffic.
Code, embeds, forms, and payments
Custom code and embeds are frequently paid features. Carrd explicitly lists forms, embeds, and custom code among Pro capabilities. A visual builder may still let you link to an external checkout, booking page, or form, but that is different from providing a native, connected workflow. Do not assume that publishing a page also includes payment processing, email delivery, CRM storage, or automation.
Free tools Windows power users keep installed
One-click scans. No signup required.
Export and account portability
Before importing a valuable audience or launching a long-lived campaign, check whether you can export contacts, page content, form submissions, and design assets. Save your copy, images, URLs, and form configuration outside the builder. A free plan is not a good reason to let one provider become the only copy of your campaign data.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to create and publish a free landing page
The exact labels vary, but the reliable workflow is the same:
Best Value
- Define one conversion. Decide whether the page is for a waitlist, download, event registration, booking request, purchase, newsletter signup, or quote request.
- Choose the lead destination first. Select the CRM, email audience, form, checkout, or booking system before designing the page.
- Write the offer in one sentence. Explain what the visitor gets and why it is worth taking the action.
- Use one primary CTA. Multiple unrelated buttons make a landing page behave more like a homepage.
- Build the page. Include a clear headline, supporting explanation, proof or relevant detail, the form or CTA, and a short privacy or consent explanation where appropriate.
- Publish on the free provider URL. Do not buy a domain merely to test whether the offer attracts interest.
- Test the complete path. Submit the form, confirm the record appears, check the welcome email or redirect, and test the page on a phone.
- Record the free-plan limits. Note the contact, email, page, traffic, storage, and automation quotas so the campaign does not fail silently later.
Documented HubSpot workflow
- Open the HubSpot account.
- Go to Content → Landing Pages.
- Select Create a landing page.
- Choose a theme or template.
- Edit the page and configure the form.
- Set the title, URL, and page settings.
- Select Publish or use the available scheduling options.
Free HubSpot pages use a HubSpot-branded domain, and removing the branding requires a paid Content Hub subscription. The process is described in HubSpot’s page-creation documentation.
Documented Mailchimp workflow
- Click Create and choose Landing Page.
- Name the page and select the audience.
- Click Begin and choose a template.
- Add or edit content blocks.
- Preview the page, then select Save & Close.
- Configure the title, URL, audience, tags, and tracking.
- Select Publish.
Select the audience carefully: Mailchimp says the audience cannot be changed after publication. See the full Mailchimp creation guide.
Documented Kit workflow
- Go to Grow → Landing Pages & Forms.
- Click + Create new and select Landing Page.
- Choose a template.
- Customize the page and form fields.
- Open settings to configure a success message or redirect.
- Set the Kit URL or a custom domain if the account supports it.
- Preview the page and click Publish.
Kit warns that design changes do not become live until the page is published again. Its workflow is documented in this landing-page guide.
Final pre-launch checklist
- Open the published URL in an incognito or private browser window.
- Test the page at a phone-sized viewport.
- Submit the form with a real test address.
- Confirm the contact appears in the intended CRM, audience, or list.
- Confirm the welcome email, download, redirect, or automation fires.
- Check that every button and external link works.
- Verify the page title, favicon if available, and social preview.
- Make sure the page is not password-protected or accidentally unpublished.
- Test in a second browser.
- Check the provider branding and URL before sending paid traffic.
- Save a copy of the text, images, form destination, and campaign settings outside the builder.
Free options that are not on the main list
Google Sites
Google Sites can be useful for a basic informational page, internal project, student page, or simple event resource. It is not a leading recommendation for a conversion-focused workflow because its native marketing, form, and automation capabilities are limited compared with the dedicated platforms above.
WordPress.com
WordPress.com can publish a free one-page site and documents a landing-page workflow, but free sites use a WordPress.com subdomain, display WordPress.com advertising, and provide only basic recent stats. It is viable when the reader wants a broader publishing system, but it is not as focused as Carrd or as connected to lead management as HubSpot or Kit. See the WordPress.com landing-page guide and pricing page.
Brevo
Brevo is useful as an email platform, but its current Free-plan documentation explicitly excludes landing pages. It should not be presented as a free landing-page builder unless the reader is willing to pay for the relevant plan. Check Brevo’s plan documentation.
Squarespace and IONOS
Squarespace offers trial access rather than a permanent free plan. IONOS has introductory or money-back pricing, not a free-forever landing-page tier. They may be worth considering as paid website hosts, but they do not meet the definition used in this article.
AI app builders
Tools such as Lovable, Bolt.new, Replit, and other prompt-to-app products belong in a separate category. Their free access may depend on daily credits, tokens, or build allowances. They can be useful for prototyping an application or custom experience, but a credit-based prototype allowance is not automatically a permanently free landing-page publishing workflow.
Bottom line by use case
| If you need… | Start with… | Why |
|---|---|---|
| One simple page quickly | Carrd | Three free site slots and a focused editor, with external CTAs if needed |
| Lead capture and organized sales follow-up | HubSpot | Forms connect directly to CRM contact records |
| Creator newsletter growth | Kit | 10,000 active subscribers, unlimited pages, forms, and sends on the documented free plan |
| Email campaign with multiple page variants | Mailchimp | Unlimited landing pages, but only 250 contacts and 500 monthly sends free |
| Funnel, email, and digital products | Systeme.io | Contacts, funnels, unlimited emails, and one custom-domain connection on $0 plan |
| General website design | Wix | Unlimited pages and broad drag-and-drop flexibility |
| Polished product or SaaS page | Framer | Design-led publishing on a Framer domain |
| Advanced responsive visual control | Webflow | Precise design and CMS structure, despite the two-page free limit |
| Graphic-heavy page or link hub | Canva Websites | Five free live sites and fast access to Canva design assets |
| One small email list and automation | MailerLite | One landing page, 250 active subscribers, and 2,500 monthly emails |
There is no universal winner. Use Carrd, Canva, Framer, Wix, or Webflow when the page mainly presents information. Use HubSpot, Mailchimp, Kit, or MailerLite when the conversion is an email signup. Use Systeme.io when the page is part of a larger funnel. The best free builder is the one that includes the next step after the click, not merely the one with the nicest templates.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I use a free subdomain for a landing page?
Yes. A provider URL is usually adequate for internal testing, early validation, student work, short-lived events, social traffic, or a low-risk waitlist. It is less suitable for an established brand, investor-facing page, large paid-ad campaign, or long-term SEO project where a recognizable custom domain matters.
Recommended Free Tools
Which free landing-page builder is best if I need a form?
Use HubSpot when you need a CRM, Mailchimp, Kit, or MailerLite when you need an email audience, and Systeme.io when you need a funnel with email or digital products. A visual builder such as Carrd may require a paid plan for native forms, while Canva is primarily a visual publishing tool.
Are these free plans really permanent?
They are ongoing $0 tiers rather than time-limited trials as documented on August 9, 2026. Vendors can change plans, and limits can vary by region, account age, billing cycle, or rollout. MailerLite is especially date-sensitive because it announced enforcement of revised free-plan limits beginning August 13, 2026.
Can I connect my own domain for free?
Usually not. A custom domain involves both registering the domain and using a builder plan that supports the connection. Systeme.io lists one custom-domain connection on its free plan, while Carrd, Wix, Framer, Webflow, Mailchimp, and Canva document paid requirements for the relevant domain features. Verify Kit’s current account-level entitlement before relying on it.
Should I use a free landing page for paid advertising?
You can test a small campaign, but check the provider branding, custom-domain requirement, traffic limits, analytics, tracking pixels, consent tools, and form destination first. A free plan that cannot reliably report conversions or store submissions may be unsuitable for serious paid acquisition.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteThe Bottom Line
Bottom line: Choose HubSpot for CRM lead capture, Kit for creator newsletters, Mailchimp for many email-list landing pages, Systeme.io for a free funnel, and Carrd for the fastest simple page. Wix, Framer, Webflow, Canva, and MailerLite are worthwhile when their specific design, publishing, or small-list limits match the campaign. Before sharing any free URL, test the form, follow-up, branding, domain, and quota—not just the page design.
