IO Interactive released Extended Operations for 007 First Light on October 1, 2026. The free DLC arrives with Update 1.3.0 and adds New Game+, the 00 campaign difficulty, Photo Mode, and new TacSim missions, alongside a major fixes pass.
What’s in the free Extended Operations DLC?
IO Interactive describes Extended Operations as the game’s first major free DLC. Its October 1 announcement lists New Game+, a new 00 difficulty, improved weapon-handling animation fidelity, Photo Mode, and TacSim content featuring the Aston Martin Valhalla and a Vietnam mission. The update was scheduled to become available at 12:00 UTC / 14:00 CEST. See IO Interactive’s Extended Operations announcement.
The DLC does not cost extra, but players need the base game to use it. IO Interactive’s support page lists the game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC from May 27, 2026; it lists Nintendo Switch 2 for March 2027. That Switch 2 date is a forward-looking listing in support information updated September 15, 2026. The official game editions page describes physical editions, but does not establish retailer availability.

New Game+ requires a completed campaign
Complete the campaign to unlock New Game+. You can replay from the beginning or from a completed checkpoint, carrying unlocked outfits and gadgets. During an NG+ run, the journal lets you change outfits, and you can swap unlocked gadgets during missions where the story permits them. The Update 1.3.0 patch notes describe these details.

00 is an unlockable, more demanding campaign option
00 also unlocks after campaign completion and can be selected for a replay. Compared with the existing Easy, Normal, and Hard options, IO Interactive’s notes characterize 00 as a tougher campaign: enemies notice disturbances faster, more demanding guard archetypes appear, combat is less forgiving, and parry and side-step timing is tighter. Gadget use is restricted when guards can see Bond, and resources restore only a fraction of gadget use. It is a difficulty setting, not a separate TacSim mode.
New TacSim missions: Valhalla Protocol and Jungle Heist
Valhalla Protocol
Valhalla Protocol comprises four driving missions in the Slovakian Mountains, with day and night conditions and different challenges. You drive the armed Aston Martin Valhalla, using weapons against targets and seeking time bonuses and high scores.

Jungle Heist
Jungle Heist sends Bond to The Pearl resort in Vietnam to retrieve classified documents from a guarded villa. IO Interactive says the mission includes the full villa, including its rooftop, and that the redesigned interior creates more opportunities for stealth. TacSim also gains access to the full main-campaign weapon arsenal. The mission details are in the official announcement.

What Photo Mode lets you adjust
Photo Mode can freeze the action so you can compose a shot. The developer’s feature description lists camera positioning and lens settings, brightness and post-processing filters, UI visibility, character posing, and frame options that include backgrounds and logos. These are the controls IO Interactive documents; the announcement does not specify further technical limits or presets.

IO Interactive says the patch includes over 700 fixes and improvements. Its notes cite crashes, progression blockers, clipping, audio, localization, and UI polish among the areas addressed; the count is the developer’s figure, not an independently audited tally. The update also changes gameplay in a small but notable way: Bond can now be thrown off ledges, a move previously associated with enemies.
