HoYoverse has announced a Zenless Zone Zero × Honkai: Star Rail crossover for Winter 2026, but the practical event rules are not public yet. The official Zenless Zone Zero English announcement names the crossover and its seasonal timing, while leaving the start and end dates, participation requirements, missions, rewards, server coverage and claim deadlines unspecified. A July 2026 report about Version 3.1 also places the crossover in Winter 2026, but does not add event rules.
That means there is no confirmed Inter-Knot level, story prerequisite, mission list or reward table to follow as of October 13, 2026, the date of the latest official notice available for this announcement. The appearance of “Pom-Pomboo” on Sixth Street is part of the announcement, but HoYoverse has not said whether it is an actual event objective, a quest trigger or simply promotional in-game content.

The official Zenless Zone Zero English channel said: “Instead, to celebrate their arrival, the Zenless Zone Zero × Honkai: Star Rail crossover event will officially begin in Winter 2026!” The wording establishes a season, not a precise launch appointment. Treat any more specific date or requirement as unconfirmed until it appears in a detailed HoYoverse event notice.
What the crossover announcement means
A two-game HoYoverse event
This is a named crossover between Zenless Zone Zero and Honkai: Star Rail. The announcement does not say that progress transfers between the games, that both games are required, or that owning one title unlocks anything in the other. Those are separate questions that need explicit instructions.

Winter 2026 is a broad window
“Winter 2026” is the only published timing. It could cover a period spanning late 2026 and early 2027 depending on HoYoverse’s calendar, but the announcement does not define a regional date convention. Do not convert the season into a day, patch number or countdown without a later notice.
Pom-Pomboo on Sixth Street
The announcement frames Pom-Pomboo’s appearance on Sixth Street as part of the crossover reveal. It does not identify Pom-Pomboo as a playable unit, a collectible, a shopkeeper, a quest target or a reward. Players should wait for the event notice or in-game text before treating the character’s location as an instruction.
Eligibility: no level or story requirement has been published
There is currently no confirmed Inter-Knot level threshold. HoYoverse has also not stated whether the event requires a particular chapter, a completed commission, access to Sixth Street, a minimum account age, a linked HoYoverse account or participation in Honkai: Star Rail.

Details the eventual notice should settle
- Account progression: the minimum Inter-Knot level and any prerequisite commissions or story chapters.
- Unlock location: whether the event starts from Sixth Street, the event menu, a message, a commission or another interface.
- Game requirement: whether only Zenless Zone Zero is needed or whether a Honkai: Star Rail action is also required.
- Server scope: which server groups and regions receive the event, and whether launch times differ.
- Access limits: whether newly created accounts, guest accounts or accounts created after a cutoff are excluded.
Until those fields are filled in by HoYoverse, the safest answer to “What level do I need?” is that no level has been announced.

Missions and unlock order are still undisclosed
No mission titles, objectives or activity loop appear in the available announcement. There is therefore no verified step-by-step route, daily checklist or phase schedule. The Pom-Pomboo reference alone does not prove that speaking to a character, visiting Sixth Street or completing a commission will unlock the event.
What to check when mission instructions arrive
A complete notice should tell you where to begin and how progress is counted. Look for the following information rather than relying on screenshots or short social-media summaries:

These are questions the detailed notice must answer; they are not known characteristics of this crossover.
Rewards and claim requirements have not been announced
HoYoverse has published no reward names, quantities or eligibility rules for this event in the available notice. There is no confirmed currency, Polychrome amount, character item, weapon material, profile cosmetic or Honkai: Star Rail reward to list.

Dates, server time and regional availability
The announcement gives a season but no exact start or end timestamp. It also does not identify the server-time basis used for opening and closing the event. Players in different regions may therefore receive different local times even if HoYoverse uses one global server schedule.
When dates are published, record all of the following together:
- the displayed time zone or server reference;
- the opening and closing timestamps;
- any maintenance period that affects access;
- the final time for claiming completed rewards, which can be earlier than the event’s final activity time;
- regional or platform exceptions.
A calendar reminder should use the server time from the notice, not an inferred local conversion copied from another player.
How to verify the official event rules
- Check the in-game notices. Open Zenless Zone Zero’s notice or event area after HoYoverse posts the detailed announcement. Menu labels can change between versions, so use the entry that contains the current event notices rather than relying on an old screenshot.
- Read the full event notice. Record the eligibility line, mission instructions, reward table and closing time. A headline or teaser may omit restrictions that appear in the body text.
- Check the event page in the live game. Confirm that the requirements and dates shown in your client match the general announcement. This is especially important if servers open at different times.
- Look for a separate claim notice. Some events distinguish between earning progress and collecting the reward. Confirm whether a button, mailbox or shop exchange is required.
- Use official follow-up posts for changes. If HoYoverse adjusts maintenance, dates or compensation, use the newest dated notice and keep the original timing in context.
Third-party posts can help surface an announcement, but they should not replace the in-game text for a cutoff time or account requirement.
What players can do before the rules are released
There is no confirmed preparation task for this crossover. You do not need to farm a particular material, raise an announced level or save a specified currency based on the information currently available.

Reasonable general preparation has no event-specific guarantee but can reduce friction when details arrive:
- Install the current Zenless Zone Zero update so a notice or event asset can appear without a last-minute download.
- Leave enough device storage and update time for a major client patch.
- Check that you can access the account and server on which you normally play.
- Keep your in-game notices enabled or check them after each relevant version update.
- Write down the official start and claim deadlines once they are posted, including the server-time label.

Specific numbers without a dated notice
A post that gives an exact Inter-Knot level, reward count or launch hour should identify a HoYoverse notice that contains that number. Without one, the figure is not confirmed for this event.
Requirements borrowed from another event
Different events can use different progression gates and interfaces. A familiar level requirement may sound plausible while still being wrong for this crossover.

Seasonal timing turned into a date
Winter 2026 is not an exact day, patch or time zone. Wait for a dated notice before planning around a launch.
A practical checklist for the detailed notice
When HoYoverse publishes the full event page, use this compact checklist to turn it into a reliable personal plan:
- Confirm the event name and the Zenless Zone Zero version in which it appears.
- Write down the minimum Inter-Knot level and every story or commission prerequisite.
- Note whether Honkai: Star Rail ownership, playtime or account linking is required.
- Map the first unlock location and each mission in order.
- Separate one-time tasks from repeatable tasks and mark any phase-opening dates.
- List each reward with its quantity, milestone and claim method.
