Zenless Zone Zero titles are optional profile accolades, not gameplay upgrades. The title worth unlocking is therefore the one whose route fits your play style, available time, platform and preferred profile look. Achievement titles suit completionists, story titles reward players already progressing through Phaethon’s Story, event titles can be attractive but may disappear when an event ends, and platform rewards may be unavailable on other systems.
This guide is current to HoYoverse’s Version 3.2 announcement of September 9, 2026. Because title rosters and conditions change with updates, treat the category comparisons below as a decision framework and verify each title’s live hint in the in-game title panel before committing to a long unlock route.
What a Zenless Zone Zero title is
A title is a displayable accolade attached to your player profile, commonly associated with the Inter-Knot Title or Inter-Knot ID system. You select an earned title to show other players; it does not increase damage, unlock a combat passive, improve drops or change progression speed.
The practical value is social and personal. A rare-looking title may signal that you completed an older challenge, finished a story segment or participated in a particular event. A less difficult title can still be the better choice if its wording or color matches the profile style you want. There is no universal ranking that makes one title objectively best.

Where titles come from
The current title system draws from several kinds of content. The route determines both the work involved and the risk that the reward will no longer be obtainable.
| Route | What you generally do | Best fit | Availability question |
|---|---|---|---|
| Achievements | Complete the conditions attached to achievement entries. These can involve a range of ordinary or specialized tasks. | Completionists and players who enjoy checking off objectives. | Is the underlying achievement permanent, or tied to a mode or event that has rotated out? |
| Phaethon’s Story | Advance through the main story and its associated progression milestones. | Players already following the narrative and new accounts building a permanent collection. | Does the story chapter remain available on your account, and are there prerequisites before the title appears? |
| Events | Meet the requirements of a named limited-time activity, often before its closing date. | Players who are active during the event and want a dated souvenir. | When does the event close, and does the title entry state that it returns later? |
| Named gameplay systems | Use a specific system or mode enough to satisfy that system’s title condition. | Players who already spend time in that activity. | Is the system permanent, seasonal or part of a temporary event schedule? |
| Platform promotions | Meet the platform and launch eligibility stated by the promotion. | Players on the eligible console or service. | Is the reward restricted to a platform, launch window or account condition? |
The categories are useful for comparing routes, but they are not a promise that every historical title remains active. The community-maintained Zenless Zone Zero Wiki describes achievements, story progression and events as broad sources and records title colors and an Xbox-exclusive example; use it for orientation rather than as the final authority for a current requirement.
What Version 3.2 adds
HoYoverse’s Version 3.2 “Their Secret Histories” announcement, dated September 9, 2026, identifies new title groups connected with four systems or activities:

- Zenless Zone Zero Bangboo Party Series Figures - Single Box (Random)
- Diary of an Orbie Parent
- Agent Trust
- Enemy Target
- Enigma of the Labyrinth
The announcement also says Season 3 Chapter 3 becomes permanently available after the update. That matters when judging a story-linked title: a permanent chapter gives you a continuing opportunity to meet its condition, subject to the chapter’s own prerequisites.
The same announcement lists limited-time events with end dates. A title connected to one of those activities should be treated as time-sensitive unless its current in-game entry explicitly confirms a rerun or permanent availability. The announcement names the categories, but it does not publish the individual requirements for each new title. Open the relevant title entry in your own client to see the live condition rather than assuming that every title in a category has the same task.
Which titles are worth your time?
Use four questions before you start chasing a title. They separate a genuinely suitable target from a reward that looks impressive but costs more time than you want to spend.

1. How much effort is required?
Read the condition, not just the title name. An achievement may be a quick one-off action or a chain of several objectives. A story title may arrive naturally while you play, whereas a system title can require repeated participation. Do not assign a difficulty tier from the wording alone; the exact current condition is what determines the work.
2. Can you still obtain it?
Permanent story and achievement content normally gives you more flexibility than a closing event. For an event title, record the event’s displayed end date and leave enough time for any prerequisite missions. If the title panel does not state that the reward returns, assume availability is limited to the event window rather than counting on a future rerun.
3. Are you eligible?
Check platform, account and progression requirements. A title may require a particular story chapter, access to a named system, participation in an event or use of an eligible platform. Eligibility is separate from difficulty: a simple reward is still unobtainable if your account or device does not qualify.

4. Does it improve your profile?
Display value is subjective. Consider the wording, title color and how well it fits the identity you want to present. Rarity can be appealing, but a common title that matches your profile theme may be more satisfying than a difficult title you do not like showing.
Comparison by player type
| If you are this kind of player | Start with | Why | Watch for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Completionist | Achievement and permanent story entries | They create a long-term checklist and are less dependent on a closing event. | Some achievement conditions may require a specialized mode or a prerequisite hidden elsewhere in the entry. |
| Main-story player | Phaethon’s Story titles and Season 3 Chapter 3-linked rewards | Your normal narrative progress can satisfy the route without a separate grind. | Confirm chapter unlock requirements and whether the title is awarded automatically or after an additional condition. |
| Mode specialist | The title group for the system you already play | Repeated participation is less burdensome when you already enjoy the mode. | Do not assume a named system is permanent; check its current schedule and title hint. |
| Event collector | Current limited-time event titles | They can mark participation in a specific period and may be unavailable later. | Track the closing date and finish the requirement before spending resources on other activities. |
| Xbox player | The platform-specific “The Xenless” title, if eligible | Xbox Wire’s producer-authored announcement says Xbox players can claim it for free after the official launch. | It is not a universal reward. Eligibility is tied to Xbox availability, including Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Cloud Gaming, and the promotion’s stated conditions. |
| Style-focused player | Titles whose color and wording fit your Inter-Knot profile | Your payoff comes from presentation rather than completion prestige. | Color and display preferences are personal; inspect the title in the profile interface before choosing. |
How to check and unlock a title
The exact labels can change with an update or platform, so use the title entry shown by your current client as the source of truth. This process avoids investing time in a title whose condition or availability has changed.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
- Open your player profile. Go to the profile area where your Inter-Knot ID and displayed title are shown.
- Open the title list or title-management panel. Look for locked entries as well as titles you can currently equip.
- Read the full hint. Note the required activity, count, chapter, platform, event name and any deadline shown in the entry.
- Check the source activity. If the condition references a story chapter, system or event, open that activity’s own notice to confirm that it is available to your account.
- Complete the condition. Track progress through the relevant achievement or system screen instead of relying on memory; repeated-mode requirements are easy to miscount.
- Return to the title panel. Claim the reward if the interface presents a claim button, then equip it if you want it displayed immediately.
- Recheck after updates. A patch can add, retire or reclassify entries. If a locked title’s wording changes, follow the new hint rather than an older guide.
Permanent, limited and platform-restricted rewards
Permanent content
Permanent story content and permanently available achievements are the safest targets for a new or returning player. You can schedule them around stamina, missions and other priorities instead of racing a deadline. Season 3 Chapter 3 is identified as permanently available after Version 3.2, so titles attached to that chapter can be evaluated as ongoing progression rewards; the individual title requirement still needs to be checked in-game.

Limited-time events
Event titles are the most likely to be missed. The event notice’s end date controls your practical deadline, not the date on an old video or community list. Finish prerequisite quests first, then complete the title condition with time left for maintenance, daily resets or a failed attempt. Do not describe a limited-time title as permanently obtainable unless the current entry says so.
Platform-restricted rewards
“The Xenless” is the clearest example in the current information. Xbox Wire’s May 23, 2025 producer-authored announcement says Xbox players can claim the title for free after the official launch and identifies Xbox Series X|S and Xbox Cloud Gaming availability. That does not make the reward claimable on every platform. A player on another device should not spend time searching for a universal redemption path; check whether the account and platform satisfy the promotion.
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
- Confusing display value with power: a title changes your profile presentation, not combat performance or resource income.
- Using an old checklist: update changes can add categories, alter conditions or retire event access. Date community lists and confirm each entry in the client.
- Assuming a named system is permanent: the Version 3.2 categories include systems whose availability may follow a schedule. Read the current activity notice.
- Ignoring account prerequisites: a story or event title may remain locked until a chapter, mission or access requirement is met.
- Leaving an event until the last day: a multi-step condition can collide with reset times or maintenance. Start with the deadline and work backward.
- Treating rarity as a universal ranking: a difficult or old title is not automatically better for your profile. Choose according to the identity you want to display.
- Trusting a category name as the requirement: “Agent Trust” or “Enemy Target” identifies a group, not a guaranteed task count. Open the individual title hint.
A practical priority order
If you want an efficient plan rather than a complete collection, use this order:
The Tool Desk
Outbyte Driver Updater FREEScan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteDriver Scan →Outbyte PC Repair FREERepair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →- Claim any eligible platform reward while its promotion remains active.
- Finish a limited-time event title that has a confirmed closing date and that you genuinely want to display.
- Choose a permanent story title aligned with chapters you already intend to play.
- Work on achievement or system titles during downtime, selecting conditions that match modes you enjoy.
- Leave purely prestige-based grinds for last unless the title’s appearance is a major reason you play.
This order protects rewards most exposed to deadlines while avoiding unnecessary grinding for a cosmetic item. Reverse it if your priority is a complete permanent collection rather than limited availability.
Bottom line: which ones should you unlock?
For most players, the best value comes from titles earned as part of content they already plan to play. Completionists should target achievement and permanent story entries; event collectors should prioritize current activities with a clearly displayed deadline; mode specialists should choose the new Version 3.2 categories that match their preferred systems; and eligible Xbox players can consider “The Xenless” as a platform-specific keepsake. No title improves gameplay, so stop when the effort exceeds the profile value you personally get from displaying it. Always verify the individual condition and availability in-game before committing to the route.
