There is no single Zelda statue scale or universal material. Licensed releases range from compact PVC pieces to large resin and polystone displays, and a height such as 9.5 inches is a product dimension—not proof of a 1: scale. To judge compatibility, identify the exact character, game version, manufacturer and edition; then verify the stated material, all three dimensions, whether the base is included, and any explicit scale or series-compatibility claim.
Why “Zelda statue scale” has no single answer
The Zelda name covers products made by different manufacturers for different games and editions. A Breath of the Wild character statue and a large Ganondorf centerpiece may both be marketed as statues while representing entirely different physical scales. A product page can also use “in scale with others in the series” to describe compatibility within one maker’s line, without establishing a common scale across every Zelda release.
Scale has a specific meaning in collecting. A statement such as 1:4 scale is a ratio: one unit on the statue represents four units on the intended real-world reference. By contrast, “9.5 inches tall” reports the finished product’s size. You cannot derive a reliable ratio from that height alone because character proportions, pose, hair, weapons and bases differ.

Dimensions and scale answer different questions
- Height, width and depth tell you whether the object will fit your cabinet and how much visual space it occupies.
- An explicit ratio tells you the maker’s stated scale, when one is provided.
- A compatibility statement may tell you that pieces belong together in one product line, but its scope should remain attached to that line.
For example, First 4 Figures describes Fierce Deity Link as “in scale with the others in the series.” That is useful evidence for displaying that series together; it is not evidence that every Zelda statue from another manufacturer is the same scale.

What Zelda statues are made of
There is no universal Zelda statue material either. The licensed examples covered here use PVC, resin and polystone (also written “poly-stone”). Always attribute the material to the exact listing, because a different edition of the same character can use different construction or include different accessories.

Material names are not interchangeable labels. PVC, resin and polystone differ in feel, mass and handling, but the practical buying decision still starts with the manufacturer’s wording. Do not infer a material from photographs, a low or high price, or the generic word “figure.”
Documented size and material examples
The following examples show why each listing must be read on its own. Measurements are the approximate dimensions stated by the respective product pages and can vary by edition or page update.

How to determine a statue’s scale before buying
Use this sequence for any listing, especially a resale listing that may omit the original specifications.
- Identify the complete product name. Record the character, game (such as Breath of the Wild or Tears of the Kingdom), manufacturer and edition. “Link statue” is not specific enough when standard, Collector’s and Exclusive Editions exist.
- Look for an explicit ratio. Search the specifications for wording such as “1:4 scale.” If no ratio appears, record “scale not stated” rather than calculating one from the height.
- Copy height, width and depth exactly. Keep the unit and the word “approximately” when the listing uses it. A deep weapon, horse or effect piece can determine cabinet fit even when the character’s height looks modest.
- Check what the measurement includes. Look for phrases such as “including base.” Ganondorf’s approximately 23-inch figure is explicitly measured with its base; another listing may measure only the character.
- Check the measurement reference. “Over 14.5 inches to the sword hilt,” as used for Fierce Deity Link, does not necessarily equal the highest point of the statue or the height including the base.
- Read compatibility language literally. “In scale with others in the series” supports a same-series display, not cross-manufacturer compatibility.
- Confirm edition-specific features. LEDs, alternate parts, a different base or a different pose can change both dimensions and the visual relationship to another release.
Edition differences can change the display plan
Standard, Collector’s and Exclusive Editions are not automatically identical except for packaging. The Breath of the Wild Link Collector’s Edition listing from First 4 Figures describes LED functions, a collector’s box and a leaflet in addition to the painted PVC statue and base. Those details should not be transferred to a standard edition without an edition-specific listing.

- An illuminated base may need access to batteries, a switch or a cable route.
- An alternate pose, weapon or effect can increase width, depth or height.
- A different base design can change whether the published height includes the same components.
- Packaging and certificates may matter to collectors but do not establish scale.
When comparing two editions, create separate records rather than treating the newer page as an update to the older one.

Use the following fields in a spreadsheet or collection inventory. They prevent the common mistake of comparing a ratio on one page with a bare height on another.

Planning shelf space from the published dimensions
Start with the listing’s maximum height, width and depth, then measure the actual shelf opening. Allow additional clearance for removing the statue, routing an LED cable and reaching a switch. If a page gives only height, treat the footprint as unknown rather than assuming a narrow base. For a mounted character such as Link on Horseback, plan around the complete product footprint, not a standing-character estimate.

Record the statue and its base as one display object unless the maker explicitly states that the base is optional. This is particularly important for Ganondorf, whose approximately 23-inch height includes the base, and for any statue with a tall sword, wings, hair or vertical effect element.

Calling every 9- to 10-inch statue “1:6 scale”
A 9.5-inch or 9.6-inch height is a dimension, not a ratio. Character height and pose vary, so assigning a ratio without an explicit manufacturer statement creates a false comparison.
Assuming two PVC statues form a matched pair
Shared PVC construction does not establish shared scale. Sideshow’s approximately 9.5-inch Zelda and approximately 9.6-inch Collector’s Edition Link have similar listed heights, but the listings do not prove that they were designed as a matched-scale pair.

Ignoring the base
A base can add several inches and determine whether a shelf works. Keep “including base” attached to the number whenever the listing says so; do not silently compare it with a character-only measurement.
Transferring features between editions
Collector’s Edition LEDs or packaging do not automatically appear in a standard release. Verify the exact edition’s contents and dimensions.
Treating a series claim as an industry standard
A maker’s statement that one statue is in scale with others in its series is a useful compatibility promise for that line. It does not standardize products from other manufacturers.
A collector’s pre-purchase checklist
- Have I recorded the exact game, character, manufacturer and edition?
- Does the page state a ratio, or only dimensions?
- Are height, width and depth all provided?
- Does the measurement include the base, weapon, mount or effect part?
- Is the material explicitly named for this edition?
- Are LEDs or alternate parts edition-specific?
- Will the full footprint and tallest point fit my shelf with operating clearance?
- Am I comparing products from the same series, or merely assuming they match?
- Have I rechecked availability and regional listing details before ordering?
The reliable answer to “What scale are Zelda statues?” is therefore product-specific: use an explicit ratio when the maker provides one, and otherwise report the measured dimensions without inventing a scale. The reliable answer to “What are Zelda statues made of?” is equally specific: check the exact listing, where licensed examples document PVC, resin and polystone/poly-stone constructions.
