Zankou is a top-tier DPS option in Neverness to Everness (NTE), but the available Version 1.4 ranking does not prove she is the single best DPS in every mode or team. Sakiri and Lacrimosa support her damage-over-time (DoT) plan, while Linko offers a separate follow-up-attack synergy. Notably, the strongest team named by the current tier list uses Haniel—not Linko—alongside Zankou, Lacrimosa, and Sakiri.
How strong is Zankou in NTE?
NTE Build’s Version 1.4 tier list, updated September 29, 2026, places Zankou in its T0 DPS tier. That makes her one of the guide’s highest-ranked damage dealers; it does not establish a universal best character through a standardized damage test. What do Sakiri, Lacrimosa, and Linko add?

Linko: follow-up attacks
Linko is a plausible alternative partner when you want to build around follow-up attacks. Icy Veins describes her Synced Strike and follow-up buffs as a fit for Zankou’s follow-up-heavy damage; NTE Wiki also notes that Linko’s Synced Strikes pair with Zankou’s Illusion basic attacks. Which Zankou team should you build?
The current tier-list guide names Zankou, Lacrimosa, Haniel, and Sakiri as its strongest team. That recommendation is distinct from the Linko route: the tier-list quartet does not include Linko. Icy Veins lists a Linko/Sakiri/Zankou/Iroi Hexed composition, while its Lacrimosa and Daffodill options use different support combinations. The available guides do not establish the minimum investment or acquisition budget for a usable Zankou team. Neverness.gg describes Zankou as a limited S-Rank character in Version 1.3 and discusses her signature Arc and Awakening investment, but gives no calculation of gacha costs, rates, or a free-to-play minimum.
