The XREAL 1 Pro+ is a brighter, more comfortable refresh of the XREAL One Pro, launched in the United States on October 15, 2026 for $599. It adds 1,200-nit peak brightness, AI HDR processing, smoother 2D-to-3D conversion and a redesigned nose pad. Its core display and spatial-computing platform remain the same, so existing One Pro owners should treat it as an evolutionary upgrade rather than a new generation.
What is new on the XREAL 1 Pro+?
Much higher peak brightness
The 1 Pro+ is rated at 1,200 nits peak brightness, compared with 700 nits on the One Pro. That is the most substantial specification change and should make the virtual display easier to see in brighter environments. Peak brightness is a maximum rating, not a guarantee that every scene or application will appear at that level.
AI HDR and picture modes
XREAL adds AI HDR processing to the 1 Pro+. The glasses also provide Standard, Movie and Reading picture modes. The One Pro launched without AI HDR, so the newer model offers more control over how video, games and text are rendered.
Smoother 2D-to-3D conversion
The 1 Pro+ can convert 2D photos, videos, livestreams and games into spatial 3D at up to 60 frames per second, directly on the glasses without extra software or accessories. The One Pro supports conversion at up to 30fps. The conversion is processing-based; it does not turn the glasses into a standalone media player or computer.

Redesigned nose pad
A redesigned ergonomic nose pad is intended to improve wearing stability and comfort. Keeping the glasses in a more consistent position can also help preserve the advertised field of view during use, especially during longer sessions.

Because resolution, field of view, refresh ceiling and the X1 platform are unchanged, the 1 Pro+ does not provide a wider or sharper basic display than the One Pro. The upgrade is mainly about brightness, image processing and physical fit.

Is the XREAL 1 Pro+ standalone?
No. Both models are tethered displays rather than standalone computers. They require a compatible source device connected over USB-C with DisplayPort Alt Mode. XREAL lists support for devices including iPhone, Android phones, Steam Deck, Windows PCs, MacBooks and other USB-C products that output video.
The glasses handle display and spatial functions, but they do not replace the phone, computer or game console providing the content. Compatibility depends on the source device’s USB-C video-output support.

What spatial modes are available?
The 1 Pro+ advertises 3DoF Follow and Anchor modes. It also advertises 6DoF spatial anchoring when paired with the separately sold XREAL Eye accessory. Without that accessory, the glasses’ native platform remains 3DoF.
XREAL Eye is a detachable RGB camera. XREAL rates it at 12MP for still photographs and up to 1080p video at 60fps. The accessory is optional, and its price is not established here, so budget for it separately if 6DoF anchoring or camera functions are important to you.

Should One Pro owners upgrade?
The upgrade makes sense if you want:
- Higher peak brightness for use in brighter surroundings.
- AI HDR and selectable Standard, Movie and Reading modes.
- 2D-to-3D conversion at up to 60fps instead of 30fps.
- A redesigned nose pad for a steadier, more comfortable fit.
Staying with the One Pro is reasonable if:
- You are satisfied with its 700-nit peak brightness.
- You do not use HDR processing or converted 3D content.
- The existing fit is comfortable and stable for you.
- You expected a resolution, field-of-view or refresh-rate increase; those specifications are unchanged.
Price and accessory considerations
The US launch price for the XREAL 1 Pro+ is $599. The glasses still need a compatible USB-C video source. XREAL Eye is sold separately for the advertised 6DoF spatial-anchoring functions, and XREAL Beam Pro is another optional accessory in the One-series ecosystem; prices for those accessories are not stated in the available launch information. Your total cost therefore depends on whether you already own a compatible phone, computer or console and whether you add either accessory.

The XREAL 1 Pro+ is the better choice for buyers who prioritize brightness, HDR processing, smoother converted 3D or improved fit. It is not a dramatic display-generation leap: both glasses retain the same 1,920 × 1,080-per-eye resolution, 57-degree field of view, 120Hz maximum refresh rate, X1 chip and native 3DoF foundation. For satisfied One Pro owners, the decision comes down to whether those targeted improvements justify the $599 US launch price.
