Xiaomi’s REDMI G27Q 240Hz 2026 standard edition is set for a first-sale price of no more than 799 yuan on JD in China, placing it below the equivalent of $120 before exchange-rate changes, taxes, shipping or regional markups. It combines a 27-inch 2560×1440 Fast IPS panel with a 240Hz refresh rate and quoted 1ms GtG response time, but the launch reports do not establish independent motion, input-lag or HDR testing.
Price, launch timing and the model to identify
IT之家 reported on October 15, 2026, that Xiaomi listed the REDMI G27Q 240Hz 2026 standard edition and that its JD first-sale price would be capped at 799 yuan. The “under $120” description is an approximate currency framing; the actual dollar amount changes with exchange rates, and a purchase outside China may add tax, shipping and importer margins.
This is not the same pricing reference as the earlier crowdfunding announcement. An April 2026 IT之家 report said the REDMI G27Q 240Hz 2026 would open crowdfunding at 999 yuan on April 13 at 10:00. The October report concerns the standard edition’s first-sale ceiling, so buyers should check the exact edition and current listing rather than assume that either figure is a permanent street price.

Older products sold as “REDMI G27Q” use similar branding, but the 2026 240Hz model has different core specifications and interfaces. Confirm that a listing explicitly says REDMI G27Q 240Hz 2026 before paying. A listing that omits “240Hz 2026” may refer to the earlier monitor.

What 240Hz and 1ms mean in practice
A 240Hz refresh rate can show a new frame every 4.17 milliseconds, provided the computer and game can supply frames at a similar rate. That makes the monitor most relevant to competitive games where motion clarity and low scan-out time matter. At 1440p, however, reaching 240 frames per second requires a powerful graphics card and settings chosen for high frame rates; many visually demanding games will run below 240fps.
The 1ms figure is a quoted GtG response-time rating, not a complete measurement of real-world pixel behavior. The launch coverage does not include independent response-time curves, overshoot analysis or input-lag measurements. Actual results can vary by overdrive mode, refresh rate, temperature and the particular transition being measured. Treat 1ms as a specification to verify in testing, not a guarantee that every pixel transition takes exactly one millisecond.

Brightness, color and HDR expectations
The panel is specified for 400-nit peak brightness, 1000:1 static contrast, 10-bit output through 8-bit plus frame-rate control, and 95% DCI-P3 coverage. Those figures suggest a wide-gamut desktop and gaming display, but they do not by themselves establish HDR certification or useful HDR performance. Peak brightness is not the same as sustained full-screen brightness, and 1000:1 native contrast is typical of an IPS panel rather than a specification for deep black levels in a dark room.
The cited launch reports also do not provide factory color-accuracy results, uniformity measurements, local-dimming information or a measured HDR mode. Anyone buying it for color-critical work or HDR should wait for independent measurements of accuracy, brightness behavior and contrast.

Ports, stand and installation
Two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs provide the most straightforward route to high-refresh 1440p from a compatible PC. Two HDMI 2.0 inputs add flexibility for consoles and secondary systems, although the reports do not state the maximum refresh rate available through each connector. The 3.5mm jack lets you connect headphones or speakers at the monitor.
The included stand supports height adjustment, tilt and rotation, which is more practical than a tilt-only stand for multi-monitor desks or portrait-oriented work. A 75×75mm VESA pattern supports a compatible arm or wall mount. Check the arm’s load rating and screw length before installation; the monitor’s specification alone does not confirm compatibility with every mount.

Is it a good 1440p gaming monitor?
Reasons it is compelling
- The 27-inch 2560×1440 format is a useful balance of image detail and gaming performance.
- A 240Hz ceiling is unusually high for a monitor announced with a 799-yuan maximum first-sale price in China.
