No: the Geekbench listing initially attributed to the global Xiaomi 18 Pro Max did not confirm that phone’s chipset or RAM. Notebookcheck corrected its report on September 11, 2026, saying the run came from a Qualcomm reference device whose model name had been spoofed. Its benchmark scores and memory reading belong to that engineering platform, not a verified Xiaomi retail handset.
What the corrected Geekbench listing actually showed
Notebookcheck’s September 11, 2026 correction identifies the device behind the Geekbench entry as a Qualcomm reference platform used to validate silicon before phone makers build devices around it. The listing’s Xiaomi model name was spoofed, so the entry is not evidence of a Xiaomi 18 Pro Max benchmark run. Notebookcheck’s correction says the reference device used Qualcomm’s SM8975, described as Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. An earlier tentative label, “8 Elite Gen 6 Pro,” should not be treated as the official chipset name.
What the scores and memory reading mean
The corrected Geekbench 7 result for the Qualcomm reference device was 3,582 single-core and 12,247 multi-core. These are scores for that reference platform, not verified results from a Xiaomi 18 Pro Max retail phone.

The same run showed 11.0GB of available memory. Notebookcheck interpreted that reading as pointing to a 12GB configuration on the reference device. Available memory is not the same as installed RAM, and this observation does not establish the global Xiaomi model’s RAM amount.

What is reported about the China-market phone
Android Central separately reports that the China-market Xiaomi 18 Pro Max launched with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and five RAM/storage configurations, ranging from 12GB/256GB to 16GB/1TB. Those reported configurations apply to the China-market model; they do not confirm the specifications of a global SKU. Android Central’s report is the basis for this distinction.
UL Benchmarks also has a dynamic Xiaomi 18 Pro Max database entry listing the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 and memory capacities of 12,288MB and 16,384MB. Its page says scores are medians of submitted user results and that the listing updates daily. That database entry does not independently establish which global retail configuration is available or resolve the device-identity issue in the spoofed Geekbench listing. See the UL Benchmarks entry.

Why the original attribution is no longer reliable
A September 11 report by 91mobiles repeated the initial Xiaomi attribution and noted that the chipset name had not been officially confirmed. Notebookcheck’s later correction supersedes that attribution by identifying the tested hardware as a Qualcomm reference device. The general caution that pre-release benchmark results may not reflect final retail hardware remains relevant, but the corrected entry should not be described as a Xiaomi phone test. Is the global Xiaomi 18 Pro Max RAM confirmed?
Not by the evidence cited here. The Geekbench run’s 11.0GB available-memory reading points to a Qualcomm reference device configuration, while the reported 12GB-to-16GB options concern the China-market Xiaomi phone. Neither establishes the exact RAM configuration of a global Xiaomi 18 Pro Max.
