Buy the XGIMI MoGo 4 if you need genuinely cable-free projection. Its built-in 71.28Wh battery, 360-degree adjustable stand, larger speakers and 32GB of storage make it the more self-contained travel projector. Choose the MoGo 3 Pro if you value its lighter, external-power design and more advanced automatic framing, and you already have a suitable USB-C power source at a good price.
The two projectors are tied on the headline picture specifications: each is rated at 1,920 × 1,080 resolution and 450 ISO lumens, and both run Google TV with licensed Netflix. Those manufacturer figures do not establish a brightness or image-quality winner in a real room. The practical buying decision is therefore about power, positioning, setup assistance, audio, storage and current price.

What is actually different?
Battery-powered projection
The MoGo 4 is the only model in this comparison with a battery inside the projector. XGIMI lists a 71.28Wh pack and a maximum of 2.5 hours of video playback in Eco Mode. It also quotes up to six hours of music playback. Both are manufacturer estimates, not independent measurements; brightness level, wireless activity, software, speaker volume and ambient temperature can shorten runtime.
#1 Best Overall
- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
The MoGo 3 Pro requires external power. XGIMI describes operation with a 65W power bank over USB-C, so it can still be used outdoors, but you must carry and charge a compatible power source and ensure it can maintain the required output. This arrangement is practical when you already own a high-output USB-C battery, but it is less convenient for spontaneous movie nights than an integrated battery.
Stand range and placement
A built-in stand lets either projector tilt without a separate tripod. The MoGo 4 stand rotates through 360 degrees, allowing the lens to face a wall, ceiling or rear-projection surface with the projector kept in one position. The MoGo 3 Pro stand covers 130 degrees, which is still enough for a broad range of wall and screen angles but offers less freedom when the projector is placed close to the floor or behind seating.
Rotation changes the projector’s physical angle; it does not increase optical zoom. If you use keystone correction to make an angled image rectangular, the projector digitally remaps the picture and can reduce the active image area. For the sharpest result, place the lens as square to the screen as your room allows before relying on correction.
Automatic framing features
The MoGo 3 Pro has XGIMI’s ISA 2.0 system. The listed functions include intelligent screen alignment and obstacle avoidance, in addition to automatic focus and keystone correction. These features can help when the projector is moved between rooms or set down quickly and a lamp, picture frame or other object is partly in the projection path.
The MoGo 4 listing includes auto focus and keystone correction, but XGIMI’s comparison does not list intelligent screen alignment or obstacle avoidance for it. That does not make the MoGo 4 difficult to use; it means you should expect to do more of the physical placement yourself when the projected rectangle needs to fit a particular screen.

Audio and storage
MoGo 4’s dual 6W Harman/Kardon speakers have a higher rated output than the MoGo 3 Pro’s dual 5W pair, and its 32GB storage is twice the 16GB listed for the older model. Wattage and capacity are objective specification differences, not a guarantee that one projector will sound better in every room. Storage is primarily useful for installed applications and system data; streaming services still need an internet connection unless a service and app support an offline workflow.
Picture quality: a specification tie, not a room-performance guarantee
Both projectors use a 1,920 × 1,080 (1080p) resolution and are rated at 450 ISO lumens. On paper, neither has a headline advantage in detail or specified brightness. ISO-lumen ratings are manufacturer specifications rather than an independent laboratory comparison, so they should not be read as a promise that either projector will overcome strong daylight.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFor the best image, darken the room, use a matte projection surface and keep the image size sensible for the available light. XGIMI’s detailed specifications describe image sizes from 40 to 200 inches, while some marketing copy emphasizes up to 120 inches. A maximum diagonal is a capability limit, not a recommendation that every size will look equally bright or contrasty. A smaller image in a darker room will generally be easier to watch than a 200-inch image in daylight.
The MoGo 4 specification lists a 1.2:1 throw ratio. Use XGIMI’s calculator and your intended screen dimensions to determine placement rather than estimating from the diagonal alone. Throw ratio relates lens-to-screen distance to image width, so the required distance changes with the screen’s aspect ratio and size.
Streaming and smart-TV features
Both models run Google TV and include licensed Netflix according to XGIMI’s product and series pages. Streaming access therefore does not separate the two projectors on the reviewed specifications. You can choose between them without giving up the platform features highlighted by XGIMI.

- Sleek 7-in-1 USB-C Hub: Features an HDMI port, two USB-A 3.0 ports, and a USB-C data port, each providing 5Gbps transfer speeds. It also includes a USB-C PD input port for charging up to 100W and dual SD and TF card slots, all in a compact design.
- Flawless 4K@60Hz Video with HDMI: Delivers exceptional clarity and smoothness with its 4K@60Hz HDMI port, making it ideal for high-definition presentations and entertainment. (Note: Only the HDMI port supports video projection; the USB-C port is for data transfer only.)
- Double Up on Efficiency: The two USB-A 3.0 ports and a USB-C port support a fast 5Gbps data rate, significantly boosting your transfer speeds and improving productivity.
- Fast and Reliable 85W Charging: Offers high-capacity, speedy charging for laptops up to 85W, so you spend less time tethered to an outlet and more time being productive.
- What You Get: Anker USB-C Hub (7-in-1), welcome guide, 18-month warranty, and our friendly customer service.
Setup still depends on your network and accounts. Connect the projector to Wi-Fi during the Google TV setup, sign in to the services you use, and install updates when prompted. If a particular app is unavailable in your country or requires a separate subscription, that limitation belongs to the service or region rather than to the choice between these two models.

Price, region and availability
XGIMI’s March 2026 UK comparison guide lists a £509 MSRP for MoGo 4 and £499 for MoGo 3 Pro. The ten-pound difference in that guide is small compared with the practical value of a built-in battery, but MSRP is not the same as a current retailer price.
| Page and region | MoGo 4 | MoGo 3 Pro |
|---|---|---|
| UK comparison guide, March 2026 | £509 MSRP | £499 MSRP |
| US product page when accessed | $479 displayed | $379 displayed; page showed unavailable status |
These figures are regional page values, not directly comparable street prices. Taxes, shipping, promotions, currency conversion and stock can change the amount you actually pay. Check the live product page or an authorized retailer immediately before ordering. The MoGo 3 Pro’s unavailable status on the accessed US page is particularly important if you are buying in the United States; a lower listed price does not help if the model cannot be shipped.
Which projector suits your use?
Choose MoGo 4 for outdoor movie nights
Select the MoGo 4 when you want to carry one device to a campsite, garden or friend’s house and start projecting without finding a power socket. The internal battery removes a separate power-bank requirement, and the 360-degree stand gives you more freedom to aim at an improvised wall or ceiling. Eco Mode is the relevant setting for the quoted maximum video runtime.
Choose MoGo 3 Pro for a powered travel setup
The MoGo 3 Pro makes sense when you routinely have mains power or already carry a USB-C battery capable of the described 65W input. Its ISA 2.0 alignment and obstacle avoidance can save adjustment time in temporary setups. It is also the model to consider if a live sale price creates a meaningful gap and you do not need an integrated battery.

Choose based on placement, not brightness claims
Do not buy one expecting a brighter picture simply because of the model number: both are specified at 450 ISO lumens. Instead, decide whether the 360-degree stand or the MoGo 3 Pro’s additional automatic framing will solve the more frequent problem in your room.
Choose MoGo 4 for built-in media headroom
If you install several streaming applications or want more room for system updates, MoGo 4’s listed 32GB gives you twice the storage of the MoGo 3 Pro. This is a convenience advantage rather than a change to the projector’s resolution or streaming platform.
How to set up either projector for the cleanest image
- Pick the surface first. Use a flat, matte wall or screen and reduce nearby lights. A reflective or textured wall can make a projector look worse regardless of its specifications.
- Place the projector securely. Set it on the built-in stand or a stable surface with ventilation unobstructed. For MoGo 4, take advantage of the 360-degree range; for MoGo 3 Pro, keep the angle within its 130-degree stand movement.
- Estimate distance with the intended image size. Use the MoGo 4’s 1.2:1 throw-ratio specification and XGIMI’s calculator for exact placement. Do not push the projector farther away merely to chase the advertised maximum diagonal.
- Make the lens as square to the surface as possible. Physical alignment preserves more of the native image than heavy digital keystone correction.
- Run automatic focus. Allow the projector to focus after moving it. Re-run focus whenever the unit is relocated or the projection surface changes.
- Use keystone only as needed. Correct small angle errors after physical placement. Remember that digital correction reshapes the image rather than adding optical zoom.
- On MoGo 3 Pro, allow ISA 2.0 to scan. Intelligent screen alignment and obstacle avoidance are designed to help the picture fit the available area. Check the result for excessive cropping before accepting it.
- Complete Google TV setup. Join Wi-Fi, sign in to your accounts and install available firmware or app updates. Both projectors include licensed Netflix, but subscriptions remain separate.
- Set the image size for the room. Start smaller than the maximum advertised size if the room has ambient light. Increase the diagonal only while text and shadow detail remain comfortable to watch.
Getting the most from the battery or power bank
MoGo 4
- Select Eco Mode when runtime matters; XGIMI’s maximum video estimate is tied to that mode.
- Lower unnecessary brightness and speaker volume, and close apps you are not using.
- Charge fully before leaving and remember that cold temperatures, wireless use and software activity can reduce the practical duration.
- Plan for a recharge if your film session approaches the quoted 2.5-hour maximum; treat that number as a ceiling under stated conditions, not a guaranteed runtime.
MoGo 3 Pro
- Use a USB-C power bank that can sustain the 65W power level XGIMI describes for this projector.
- Check the bank’s output profile, cable rating and remaining capacity before starting a long session.
- Keep the bank accessible and ventilated rather than buried in a bag where heat can build up.
- If you use mains power, secure the cable so movement of the projector cannot pull it off the stand.
Common buying and setup mistakes
Assuming 450 ISO lumens means daylight performance
The equal 450 ISO-lumen ratings do not predict how either model will look beside a sunny window. Ambient light, wall color, image size and contrast affect perceived quality. Plan for a darker room instead of choosing between these models on an assumed brightness difference.
Treating a maximum image size as the normal size
Both models are described as supporting sizes up to 200 inches in detailed specifications, while promotional material may cite 120 inches. Neither figure says that the largest image will retain the same brightness or contrast as a smaller one. Match size to the room and available light.

Confusing digital correction with zoom
Auto keystone and ISA alignment can make a skewed image rectangular, but they do so by remapping pixels and may reduce the usable image area. Move the projector first, then apply the smallest correction that solves the remaining geometry problem.

Buying on a regional price alone
The UK MSRP values and US page prices are from different markets, and the MoGo 3 Pro US page showed unavailable when accessed. Confirm local stock, warranty coverage, tax and delivery cost before treating a displayed price as a deal.
Expecting speaker wattage to predict the whole listening experience
MoGo 4’s dual 6W rating exceeds the MoGo 3 Pro’s dual 5W rating, but room acoustics and placement influence clarity and volume. If a large outdoor audience is your goal, plan for the projector’s built-in speakers to serve a personal or small-group setup rather than assuming the wattage guarantees cinema-level sound.
Final buying decision
The MoGo 4 is the stronger all-round portable choice because it combines the shared 1080p/450-ISO-lumen picture specification with a built-in 71.28Wh battery, a fully rotating stand, higher rated speaker output and twice the listed storage. Its advantage is convenience and flexibility, not a published brightness lead.
