To increase Xcitium Backup storage, upgrade through the portal that manages your account: Bluehost and Network Solutions use different menus and have different upgrade timing. If you use Bluehost, check your storage usage under Websites > Manage Site > Backups, then choose Upgrade on the Xcitium backup card. Network Solutions customers use Security > Website Backups instead.
Choose the upgrade steps for your provider
First confirm which company bills or manages your Xcitium Backup subscription. The same backup service does not mean the same account workflow. Follow only the instructions for your provider.
Bluehost: upgrade from the site’s Backups page
- Sign in to the Bluehost Portal.
- Open Websites and choose Manage Site beside the website you want to protect.
- Open Backups. On the Xcitium backup card, select Manage to review usage, allocation, backup history, and protection status.
- Select Upgrade on the Xcitium card, choose a plan offered in your account, and click Buy Now.
Bluehost says most upgrades apply within minutes. Once the additional storage is available, scheduled backups can resume automatically; the guide says existing settings and backups remain intact and that no website changes are required.

Network Solutions: upgrade from Website Backups
- Sign in to your Network Solutions account.
- Choose Security, then open Website Backups.
- Beside the relevant Xcitium Backup website, select Upgrade Available.
- Choose a plan, confirm the payment method, and click UPGRADE NOW.
Network Solutions says it sends an invoice by email and that provisioning may take up to 24 hours. Its documented upgrade workflow applies to Xcitium and CodeGuard customers who renewed on or after May 15, 2026. The service becomes available in the account seven days before renewal; Network Solutions says early renewals before that window will not be processed. These eligibility details apply to Network Solutions, not Bluehost.

Compare the allocation with the usage shown in your Bluehost account, as well as the number of websites you need covered. The account’s available choices—not this published list—determine which plan you can actually select.

Why upgrade before storage is full?
Bluehost says automatic backups stop when allocated Xcitium Backup storage reaches 100%. Website changes made after backups stop are not backed up, so a later problem could leave those recent changes unrecoverable. Increasing capacity before reaching the limit helps avoid that gap. Bluehost says protection resumes once additional storage is available.

If the upgrade option is missing or storage is still full
Bluehost account is already on Pro+
Bluehost’s guide lists Pro+ as its highest tier at 25 GB and says a higher self-service plan may not be available. It suggests removing outdated or unneeded backups, or contacting Bluehost support if you need more capacity. Do not assume another tier exists unless your account or support confirms it.

Network Solutions account does not show an upgrade
Check whether your account meets Network Solutions’ renewal timing requirements: its documented process is for eligible Xcitium and CodeGuard customers who renewed on or after May 15, 2026, and the option is available beginning seven days before renewal. If timing appears to qualify but the option is absent, confirm eligibility with Network Solutions rather than using Bluehost’s steps.
Upgrade completed but backups have not resumed
Allow for the provider’s stated provisioning window: Bluehost says most upgrades apply within minutes, while Network Solutions allows up to 24 hours. Check the account’s storage and protection status after that window; if the added allocation is still unavailable, contact the provider managing the subscription.
