Xbox is testing a Microsoft Rewards streak tracker that some Xbox Insiders have seen on the dashboard and player profile. It is meant to show daily Rewards streaks and the Game Pass Weekly Streak; it is a tracking interface, not a new rewards program. Microsoft has not announced a general release or confirmed that the feature will become permanent.
What does the new Xbox streak tracker show?
A September 25, 2026 report by Pure Xbox says some Insiders have spotted the tracker on both the Xbox dashboard and their player profile. It displays daily Microsoft Rewards streaks and the Game Pass Weekly Streak, giving players a place to check progress.
The tracker itself does not establish or change how a streak is earned. It surfaces information about existing Rewards activities; the underlying rules are separate.
Is the feature available to everyone?
No broad release has been announced. The sightings reported so far are among Xbox Insiders, and the available information does not establish when—or whether—other players will receive the tracker.

- VERSATILE CONNECTIVITY — Connect via USB-C for plug-and-play on console and PC, or quickly pair and switch between supported devices with XBOX Wireless and Bluetooth support.

In its September 2026 notice, the Xbox Insider team said that experience tests may vary by player, change over time, or never become permanent additions. That means two Insiders could see different interfaces, and the tracker’s appearance in a test is not a promise that it will ship.
How does the Game Pass Weekly Streak work?
Xbox Wire’s January 2025 explanation described a weekly streak as playing a Game Pass catalog game on at least five days in a week. It also listed the following rewards at that time. These are historical figures, not confirmed current terms for October 2026; check the current Rewards activity and terms in your account before relying on them.

| Activity or milestone | Xbox’s January 2025 description |
|---|---|
| Daily play | 10 points for playing a game in the Game Pass catalog for at least 15 minutes in a day |

| Streak multipliers | 2x after two weeks, 3x after three weeks, and 4x after four or more weeks |

These details come from Xbox’s January 6, 2025 explanation of Game Pass Quests and Rewards. They explain the earlier mechanics, not what the new tracker changes: no reported information indicates that the interface alters the earning criteria.

What if a Microsoft Rewards streak resets?
Microsoft’s general Rewards troubleshooting guidance says streaks may reset if daily sets are missed, if a VPN or device time-zone difference affects activity, or if the account changes. This is general Rewards support guidance, not documentation of verified problems with the experimental Xbox tracker.
