The listing does not establish that every retailer participated or that every qualifying buyer received the offer automatically.
How much was the gift card, and which retailers participated?
The reviewed Xbox Store listing does not state the gift-card denomination or name the participating retailers. It directs customers to consult their retailer for details. Without confirmation from the seller, there is no reliable basis to promise a specific card value, retailer, delivery date, or redemption method.

Release timing and platforms
The Xbox Store lists October 6, 2026, as the game’s release date. Xbox Wire reported that Early Access went live October 1, 2026. The game is available on Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and Steam; Xbox Wire also lists cloud gaming through Game Pass Ultimate and GeForce NOW. The preorder promotion should not be treated as a reason to buy now that its stated window has closed.

What to check before buying now
- Platform and edition: Confirm that the product is for Xbox Series X|S, PC, or Steam, as intended.
- Physical or digital format: The Xbox Game Studios Shop Collector’s Edition listing says Xbox Series X customers receive a physical disc, while Steam customers receive a digital code. Check current inventory and the exact product listing before ordering.
- Bonuses and offer terms: Treat the past preorder gift card and skins as unavailable for a new purchase unless a retailer explicitly confirms a separate, current offer.
- Multiplayer requirements: Check the qualifying subscription requirement if you plan to play online on console.
The Xbox Store describes the game as an origin-story campaign set fourteen years before the original Gears of War, following Marcus Fenix and Dominic Santiago as the Locust Horde emerges.
