Yes, you can play the Xbox 360 version of WWE All Stars on a modern PC, but there is no official PC release. The most direct route is the unofficial WWE-AllStars-Recomp project, which translates the game ahead of time into a native Windows program. You must supply your own USA or Europe Xbox 360 disc image, Title Update 2 and, if wanted, console-dumped DLC.
The alternatives are console emulators. Xenia emulates the Xbox 360 while the game runs; RPCS3 emulates the PlayStation 3 version. The recompilation has the clearest published feature list and tested Windows 11 and Steam Deck results, but the available evidence does not establish a universal performance winner over either emulator.
What exists on PC
WWE All Stars was released for consoles, not Windows. The WWE-AllStars-Recomp project is an unofficial Windows implementation of the Xbox 360 release. It is not a commercial port, a redistributable copy of the game or an official product from the original publisher.

The project translates the Xbox 360 game’s PowerPC code to x86-64 ahead of time. Its ReXGlue layer supplies Xbox 360 kernel, audio and input services, while the default Native renderer intercepts the game’s Direct3D 9 calls and draws them through Vulkan. That combination is called a static recompilation because the game code is converted before execution rather than translated instruction by instruction during play.

You still need legally obtained source files. Project releases do not include the game, a disc image, Title Update 2 or downloadable content. Create the required dumps from hardware and software you own, and check the rules that apply in your country before using them.
Static recompilation and emulation are different technologies
How the recompilation runs
A static recompilation converts the original executable’s PowerPC instructions into x86-64 code that Windows can run. ReXGlue handles the console services the converted game expects. In the Native path, the project replaces the original Xbox 360 GPU execution path with Vulkan rendering on the PC graphics card. This avoids emulating every Xbox 360 CPU and GPU operation in real time, but it does not make the result a guaranteed universal port: unimplemented game behavior, source-file differences and project bugs can still cause crashes.
The project also keeps an Emulated renderer as a fallback and reference path. Native is the project’s normal Vulkan-based path; the alternative can help determine whether a problem is specific to the new renderer.
How Xenia runs the Xbox 360 version
Xenia emulates the Xbox 360 as a system and translates game code while it is running. Compatibility is therefore dependent on the emulator’s current implementation, the particular game build and the hardware and driver combination. Xenia’s FAQ directs users to its compatibility list for title-specific status rather than promising that every Xbox 360 game behaves the same way.

How RPCS3 fits in
RPCS3 is a PlayStation 3 emulator, so it is relevant only if your source is the PS3 release of WWE All Stars. Its official compatibility wiki records entries by game ID and media. Disc and digital editions can have separate entries, meaning a general statement that the title works is not enough to predict behavior for your exact release.

These are project-documented requirements, not a guarantee for every build or machine. Desktop Linux and Windows 10 are listed as requirements or targets but were not part of the documented test coverage. Steam Deck was tested through SteamOS and Proton. Xenia’s FAQ says it is not native on Linux and may run through Wine with Vulkan; it also describes macOS as incompatible under the graphics-support state documented there.
How to set up the Windows recompilation
- Prepare your own source media. Dump a USA or Europe Xbox 360 disc image from your own console and disc. Do not treat a downloaded project release as a complete game.
- Dump Title Update 2. The project requires this update, particularly for DLC support. Keep the update associated with the same game release and console source.
- Dump optional DLC, if you own it. DLC is not required for the base game. Only use content obtained from your own console.
- Obtain a project release. Download the Windows release from the project’s repository or releases page. The release supplies the recompilation software, not the copyrighted game files.
- Open the launcher and point it to the required files. Provide the disc image and Title Update 2 when requested. Add DLC through the launcher’s DLC workflow rather than expecting the game’s store to function.
- Let setup copy and verify the files. The project says the launcher reads the source files, copies and verifies what it needs, and prepares shaders. It does not modify the original source files.
- Connect a controller before testing. A controller is the recommended input device for a game designed around console controls.
- Start with a documented mode. Exhibition 1v1 is a useful first check because the project specifically reports its entrance, finisher and result-screen flow as playable. Move to other modes only after the basic launch succeeds.
If a future release changes the launcher or file-selection screens, follow the labels in that release. The required inputs remain the same: an accepted Xbox 360 image, Title Update 2 and optional user-owned DLC.

Anything not named in the project list may still crash. A mode being absent from the table is not evidence that it is either working or deliberately disabled.
Reported performance and platform coverage
The project says the game runs at its original 60 frames per second in its tested use cases. It reports a Windows 11 test with an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT and a Steam Deck test running SteamOS through Proton. On Steam Deck, the report specifies 60 fps on the Low preset.

There is no controlled benchmark comparing the recompilation with Xenia or RPCS3. The 60-fps statements are project documentation for the named configurations, not an independent laboratory result and not proof that the recompilation is universally faster.

Choose the recompilation when
- You have an Xbox 360 disc and can produce the required image and Title Update 2.
- You want a Windows-focused build with a published list of working modes.
- You use Windows 11 or Steam Deck and your hardware resembles the documented test environments.
- You prefer a native x86-64 executable and Vulkan renderer over whole-console emulation.
Choose Xenia when
- Your priority is conventional Xbox 360 emulation rather than a title-specific recompilation.
- You want to follow Xenia’s current compatibility record and test the exact game build yourself.
- You accept that compatibility can change with emulator revisions, drivers and game-specific settings.
Choose RPCS3 when
- Your available source is the PlayStation 3 edition.
- You can identify the exact game ID and whether your copy is disc or digital.
- The current RPCS3 entry for that exact media shows the status and notes relevant to your build.
Why region, media and version matter
Do not infer compatibility from the title name alone. Xbox 360 USA and Europe releases can have different files, and an update or DLC package from a different release can prevent setup from validating correctly. On RPCS3, the compatibility system explicitly distinguishes game IDs and media, with disc and digital editions potentially appearing as separate entries. Xenia likewise recommends checking a compatibility list for the title rather than assuming that a result for one release applies to all releases.

Before changing settings, record the region of your image, the media type, the Title Update 2 source and the version of the recompilation or emulator you are running. That information makes a compatibility report reproducible and prevents you from mixing instructions for different releases.

The launcher rejects the game image
Confirm that the image is a USA or Europe Xbox 360 release accepted by the project and that it was dumped from your own disc and console. Recheck the file path and let the launcher complete its verification. Do not replace a rejected file with an unrelated download or a different region.
DLC does not appear
Verify that Title Update 2 is present first. The project requires that update for DLC support, and DLC is added through the launcher rather than the unsupported in-game store. Confirm that the DLC was dumped from your own console and belongs to the same release region.

The game renders incorrectly or fails to start
Make sure the graphics card supports Vulkan and that its driver is current. If the build exposes both renderers, test the Emulated renderer as a diagnostic fallback; a difference between it and Native points toward a Vulkan or Native-renderer issue. The RX 7900 XT result does not establish behavior on NVIDIA or Intel hardware.

A mode crashes after the main menu works
Start with one of the modes explicitly listed as playable. The project warns that anything not listed may still crash, so a successful Exhibition match does not certify every menu, mode or online feature. Record the mode, release region, project version and renderer when reporting the problem.
Performance is below 60 fps
The documented 60-fps results apply to the project’s named test systems and, for Steam Deck, the Low preset. Check driver state, renderer selection and background load before drawing conclusions. There is no published cross-platform benchmark that can identify a universal hardware threshold or prove that one route is faster than another.
Windows 10 or desktop Linux behaves differently
Windows 10 is listed as a requirement but is not a documented test platform in the cited project report. Desktop Linux is also not covered by that test report; the Steam Deck Proton result should not be treated as a guarantee for another distribution. For an emulation route, consult the current Xenia or RPCS3 documentation for the operating system and exact game version instead.
Keeping compatibility information current
Recompilation releases can add modes, change renderer behavior or alter file validation. Check the project’s release notes and README before replacing a working build. The project page used for this guide was accessed October 13, 2026, so later releases may change the listed status.
For Xenia, use the current compatibility list linked from its FAQ. For RPCS3, open the entry for the exact game ID and media, not merely a search result for “WWE All Stars.” The RPCS3 compatibility wiki page records an edit shown as September 30, 2026, but its live entries can change after that date.
What the evidence supports
The recompilation is the clearest documented way to run the Xbox 360 edition as a Windows program: its code is translated ahead of time, it has a Vulkan Native renderer, and the project reports a defined set of playable modes. It is also the route with the most explicit source-file requirements, including Title Update 2 and optional console-dumped DLC.
Emulation remains a valid alternative when you prefer the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 emulator ecosystem, or when your available source media matches an emulator’s compatibility entry better than the recompilation’s accepted files. Xenia and RPCS3 require checking current, title-specific records. Neither the available project reports nor the emulator documentation cited here supplies a controlled performance comparison, so claims that one method is always faster, more accurate or more compatible go beyond the evidence.
