In Midnight Season 2, the Great Vault is the weekly gear reward, while the season’s Mythic+ mounts come from rating achievements—not random weekly drops. The latest specific Twitch and YouTube campaign covered here ended in September 2026, so its rewards can no longer be earned. Blizzard’s schedule and rules below are date-stamped to October 7, 2026; weekly reset timing can vary by region.
How do I get Hero gear in WoW this week?
Run eligible activities to earn Great Vault progress, then claim the Vault reward after the weekly reset. For Season 2, the distinction between earning credit and being able to claim gear mattered: credit began the week of August 11, 2026, but Season 2 Vault gear and Mythic+ Season 2 became available the week of August 18. Blizzard’s Season 2 schedule gives those dates; it does not promise identical maintenance timestamps in every region.
The World activity row had a specific early-season progression: the first Season 2 Vault’s World-row reward could reach Champion 3/6, while later World-row rewards could reach Hero 1/6. Those are World-row caps, not a universal cap for every Vault activity. Raid reward tracks follow separate rules, and Blizzard also lists distinct gear qualities and weekly limits for activities such as World difficulty Lair rewards and Heroic or Normal Prey. Raid Vault rewards use different tracks
Blizzard’s patch notes say Raid Finder, Normal, and Heroic raid Vault rewards are placed at the first step of the next harder difficulty’s upgrade track; the published example is a Heroic raid Vault reward at Myth 1/6. Mythic raid Vault rewards are Myth 6/6, except for Very Rare items and loot from the penultimate and final bosses. These raid rules are not the World-row cap. Details are in the patch notes.

When does the Great Vault reset?
The Great Vault is claimed on a weekly cadence. Blizzard’s Season 2 schedule specifies when credit began and when Season 2 rewards became available, but the announcement does not establish one universal reset clock for all regions. Check the in-game reset notice for your region rather than assuming the US maintenance time applies everywhere.
What item level is Hero gear?
The cited Season 2 schedule and Vault rules do not give a single item-level number for Hero gear. They describe track positions, including the World-row ceiling of Hero 1/6 for later Vaults, but item level depends on the item and its upgrade track. Do not treat the World-row ceiling as the item level of every Hero item or every weekly reward.

Upcoming Ascendant Venomstone upgrade
As of October 7, 2026, Blizzard had announced the 12.1.5 update for October 13 and scheduled Ascendant Venomstone availability for the week of October 20. The announced system lets players use 10 Ascendant Venomstones near the Catalyst in Silvermoon City to raise the item level of a fully upgraded Season 2 Hero or Myth item, or a maximum-quality Tidal Crafted weapon, trinket, or necklace.

Blizzard named these sources for the stones: each Heroic or Mythic raid boss, Mythic+ keystone dungeons at +10 or higher, Tier 11 Bountiful Delves, and Nightmare Prey Hunt Champion gear chests. This was an upcoming feature on October 7, not a system already available on that date. See Blizzard’s 12.1.5 update announcement.

How do I get the Breath of Blight mount?
Reach a Mythic+ rating of at least 2,000 during Midnight Season 2 to earn Breath of Blight, the Keystone Master mount. Breath of Ruin is the separate Keystone Legend mount reward at a rating of at least 3,000. These are season-long achievement goals, not weekly random drops. Blizzard’s Season 2 Mythic+ announcement lists the thresholds and the season’s eight-dungeon rotation.
Other Season 2 mount reward
Defeating Ula’tek on Mythic difficulty drops three Primeval Skyfriend mounts, according to Blizzard’s Season 2 announcement. That is a raid difficulty reward, separate from the Great Vault and Mythic+ rating achievements.

How many hours do I need to watch Twitch for WoW Drops?
The latest specific campaign covered here was BlizzCon 2026. Its Twitch campaign ran from September 12 at 9:30 a.m. PDT through September 27 at 10:00 a.m. PDT; the YouTube campaign ended September 13. Both windows had closed by October 7, 2026, so these milestones are historical and cannot be earned now through that campaign.

Why did my Twitch Drop not show up in WoW?
For the BlizzCon 2026 campaign, Blizzard’s FAQ required a linked Twitch and Battle.net account and a manual claim on Twitch or in Drops Inventory. Progress could be split across eligible World of Warcraft Twitch channels, but watching several channels simultaneously did not make progress accrue faster. A claimed Drop expired after seven days if the Battle.net account had not been linked. The first Battle.net region logged into after claiming received the items, and delivery could take up to 24 hours. YouTube rewards were delivered automatically when the accounts were connected during viewing.
Those troubleshooting details apply to that campaign’s FAQ, not necessarily to later Drops. For a future reward, verify its own announcement for the eligible channels, linking steps, claim deadline, region, and delivery terms.
