Blizzard’s World of Warcraft: Forever gameplay trailer introduces a new, permanent home for WoW alongside the modern and Classic games. It points to a return to the original continents, a level 1–60 journey, and new content such as the playable Skyborne race. Blizzard lists a global launch for November 4, 2026, and says beta begins September 17, 2026; these are announced dates, not independently verified release details. Watch the official trailer.

What is the World of Warcraft: Forever trailer?

The official listing calls the video “World of Warcraft: Forever | Gameplay Trailer.” “Your Adventure Begins” is an editorial tagline, not a confirmed title for the video. Published September 12, 2026, the trailer promotes Forever as a new permanent version of WoW rather than a replacement for the modern or Classic games. Blizzard places its story after Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core. The official trailer is on YouTube; Blizzard’s BlizzCon 2026 announcement gives the setting and launch plan.

What does the trailer reveal about the game?

Blizzard describes a return to the original continents with new and reimagined regions, and a progression path from level 1 to 60. The pitch centers on exploring and questing through Azeroth, not only reaching an endgame. The trailer description invites players to discover the Skyborne and explore new lands; the product page advertises more than 1,000 new quests. That quest total is a Blizzard promotional figure, not an independently assessed count.

New and reimagined places

Blizzard’s panel recap names areas in Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor, including Mount Hyjal, Shen’dralas, Riverglades, and Zephras Isle. It frames the world itself as central to the experience and says there will be no flying mounts or level scaling. These are announced design details; the cited material does not independently evaluate how they play.

Do you need a subscription to play Forever?

Yes. Blizzard says access to World of Warcraft, including Forever, requires a WoW Subscription or Game Time. Optional upgrade editions are separate from that stated access requirement; consult Blizzard’s current edition terms for what each includes.

What is in the Forever Collector’s Edition?

Blizzard identifies a physical World of Warcraft: Forever Collector’s Edition sold through the Blizzard Gear Store while supplies last. The cited announcement does not confirm Amazon availability. Blizzard also describes optional editions with differing combinations of beta access, game time, cosmetic rewards, launch codes, or physical memorabilia; exact contents and eligibility depend on the current store listing.

What kind of WoW experience is Blizzard aiming for?

In its official panel recap, Blizzard describes four design pillars: “approachable and familiar, the world as the main character, the journey before the destination, and protecting and nurturing the social experiences that make Azeroth feel alive.” Alongside the stated absence of flying mounts and level scaling, this signals an experience built around traveling and progressing through the world rather than bypassing it. It remains Blizzard’s stated intent, not an independent assessment of the finished game. Read the full panel recap.
